"Do not buy from Homelement! I initially place an order with them for a bench. When I called two days later to check on my order, I was told the bench was backordered. Good thing I called them. I immediately placed an order for another bench. I received an email with an expected ship date. When the ship date came and went, I called Homelement. I was told to wait a few more days and the bench should ship. I waited three more days. Hearing nothing, I called to cancel my order and was told the bench had shipped. Liars! I called on three following days to cancel. Each day was told "bench has shipped and can't cancel". Finally got email days later that the bench had just shipped that morning. I have spent too much time and too many phone calls trying to do business with Homelement. Not again!"
"The Catnapper power reclining chair that we ordered from Homelement arrive in good condition at the time given. OUR ONLY slight dissatisfaction was the insistence on their "curb" delivery policy. Our home is located 1200 feet from the rural public road (which, by the way, has no curb). The driver refused to bring it any closer to the home so I had to load it onto my John Deere Gator in the rain and store it in the barn until it stopped raining. A matching chair, bought for a competitor 6 months ago, was at least brought to the house."

"Called to cancel an order placed on the weekend, first thing Monday morning (9AM ET). Was told to call back later, when I called back later (1PM ET) was told can't cancel as order been shipped. when told them I called in the morning was told couldn't be and that I dialed the wrong number (my phone records prove my point). When asked if item shipped why shows "processing" on their site, and can I get a confirmation number was told I will get one by end of day. Next day no confirmation number and still status "processing" and to be delivered by Aug 12th, emailed and asked again to cancel. Finally got an email that item was canceled, but than when I emailed back about a refund, still got no reply. This case is in dispute with Paypal. BE CAREFUL about doing any purchases from this site!!! They either have terrible costumer support, or just a shady business that will lie to keep a sale.
Update: Just got an email back saying a refund has allegedly been issued, however Paypal still isn't reflecting any refund or pending refund. Still would never do business with this company nor would recommend them to anyone.
Update2: On Aug 12th after another email, refund finally appears on Paypal. Too bad that rather than just canceling it Monday and gaining me as a client, they had to be threatened through Paypal and BBB after several lies on their part. Guess Costumer support isn't on their agenda.
Update3: Today I got an email asking if the refund has been processed. In fact it was on Aug 12th, although I was told that the refund has been issue on the 9th, the message on Paypal that shows vendor issued a refund appeared only on the 12th (after my email), I guess it's just "coincidence" that the refund magically appeared same day I emailed to complain (sorry for my sarcasm but dealing with this vendor was a series of lies).
Hope any prospective buyer reads this and considers carefully if to trust this business.

"This was my all-time worst shopping experience! I ordered. I was told by a representative (Sheila) it would not ship for two weeks. I found another immediately available from another source. I cancelled my order only to be told it had already shipped. After several phone calls, I received a written acknowledgement that my order was cancelled. However, my card was charged and the shipment arrived. I was not home at the time to refuse to accept it. I called again and was told it would be picked up by FedEx at no expense to me. It is still sitting there...."

"BEWARE!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE! SLOW SHIPPING! I placed my order on July 9, 2011 and it finally processed July 11th. They don't provide updates on account, and it wasn't till two weeks later I was notified about it possibly shipping. It's now Augst 2nd and I have yet to receive my furniture. It's now over three weeks. I was initially notified it would ship out 2 August yesterday upon calling, and now they say 4 August after I had to call them again. Oh and this means it leaves the warehouse, and I still have to call and schedule a delivery date with the manufacturer. I was never notified it was on backorder, but they claim they told me. I called a numerous amount of times, and management Sheila lacks professionalism, customer service, and expressed no concern for helping me. I was notified I cannot cancel my order. I will never purchase from this site again!!!! Hopefully I'll see my furniture soon, and it's in good condition, as I know if it's not they won't care! August 5th now! Still no word on furniture delivery date!! Shame on them for saying it was delivered on the 4th!!!!!!!"
"Very disappointed with my experience with Homelement. I ordered a desk for my home office six weeks ago and I still am not able to put it together due to missing pieces. If I had know that it would be three months before having a functioning desk I would have gone elsewhere. (The remaining pieces aren't slated to ship from the manufacturer until the end of Aug., probably arrive sometime in Sept.) Customer service can't do anything but answer the calls and make excuses."

"I abosolutely love my coffee table. The only problem is that the screws keep coming loose. Is there a way to fix this? When the packages arrived they were wrapped in so much bubble wrap. When we finally got it off and found the boxes they were in were badly damaged. I'm surprised the glass wasn't broken. So whoever put on the bubble wrap saved both pieces. My friend has her eye on one of your dining tables, but needs to save up for it. You have some really nice things. Also, I received my table a lot sooner than specified when I ordered it."
