"I bought my second laptop, first one was back in 2004, still works, my wife is using it. The new one is an EQ7, I was surprised when the machine was shipped 5 days after put the order, was a very pleasant surprise. When I got the machine had a few problems to run some of my applications, VISTA problems, but they helped me to find what the problem was, and since then no more problems with that. The new machines are not noisy at all, which is really good because in the past they use to be very noisy. After 8 months of use, the VGA got started to act weird, and I sent it back to be repaired, they sent me a prepaid overnight label, and I sent the machine, next day was there, they changed the VGA, tested the machine, and sent me back the machine the very same day, so I was without the machine for only 3 days. Best, I paid ZERO."

"I bought an Aviator CX7 about a month ago, and I cant reccomend Hypersonic enough. They easily had the best price for the components I recieved. I have 2 gigs ram/pentium m 2.13 ghz/geforce 7800 gtx. This baby rocks and handles any games I throw at it with ease. Also my screen was perfect with no dead or partially lit pixels. My only complaint may be their slow shipping time, it seems to be reacurring here that Hypersonic ships its products out very slowly and in fact long after it was supposed to. However, they did give me next day air shipping as an upgrade for waiting so long. All in all this is the nicest laptop I have ever seen and Hypersonic seems to put an effort into making a quality system."

"I purchased an Aviator CX7, which shipped two weeks later. The laptop works well and I'm very satisfied with it so far. However, I'm rather disappointed in Hypersonic technical support. Emails are replied to very slowly. Sometimes, they don't even care to reply. Moreover, when they suggest to call you back, they actually never call you back. Generally speaking, they will not get back to you, even if you have a serious problem and they promised to get back to you as soon as possible. As a customer, it's rather frustrating to have to call them up continuously in order to have a problem solved. Another thing which suprised me is the fact that the driver database of my laptop contains wrong drivers. Some drivers actually link to another laptop database, which has different hardware installed. I pointed out this obvious mistake to technical support and they assured me they would address that issue. That was two weeks ago and, guess what, nothing has been done yet.

All in all, I would say they make good products. However, once the product is sold, they don't seem to be willing to follow through on their responsibilities to customers. Therefore, I would only advise you to purchase from Hypersonic if you are a computer expert and you can solve all your poblems by yourself. If it is not the case, you might find yourself wasting a lot of time with a customer support service who doesn't really care about their customers.

"I bought a CX7 laptop with a 2.13GHz. Intel Pentium-M 770 (Sonoma), 1024 MB PC4200 DDR2-533, 80 GB 5400rpm Ultra ATA hard Drive w/8MB Cache, 8X DVD+/- R/W Drive Dual Layer w/DVD Recording Software & LightScribe, Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX PCI-Express 256MB, Built-in High Definition 3D Sound, Integrated V.92 56K Fax-Data Modem, Integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, internal 802.11ABG 54Mbps Wireless Mini PCI w/Bluetooth, 17" WUXGA 1920X1200 VividView display w/Super Clear Glossy Surface, 3yr. Platinum Warranty.
I also recieved a $200.00 instant rebate at the time. It was less than anything Dell, Alienware or Voodoo was offering. I was able to get next day shipping for just $44.00
The machine is a screamer, speed wise. for all the Highend parts it is quite quiet. On a full charge I get 2.5hrs.+ of power even when playing hardcore games it can go for more than 2hrs. most times, may son has a Dell 9300 with Nvidias 6800 Go and he can only get just over 1hr. playing games.
Plug this CX7 in and it can handle anything you can through at it game wise. I play Swat 4, Quake 4, Doom 3, Starship Troopers and the new Rainbow Six Lockdown at 1600X1200 with everything set to high with no slow downs at all, you can even run at the Max. Res. 1920X1200 when Wide screen is an option and you tweek the settings.
DVD's look great and the lobby gun fight in the Matrix runs smooth and looks awesome.
I have not had any trouble with it as of yet and I would fully encourage everyone to give HYPERSONIC a try. Look at everyone else, then go to HYPERSONIC and see what they can offer, I did and I'm a Happy Gamer. I normally build my own Desktop Machines, but next around I'm going to let HYPERSONIC customize one for me.
If you should need to call them and ask a question, you will get a quick responce from people that know thier products and you can understand what they are saying. Your not talking to someone in another country who you can't understand what they are saying, just quick, smart answer's in plan english.

"I purchased a Aviator CX5 9700 with a 3 year warranty in August of 2004, and until this past December, I had no problems with the system. However, in early December, the computer suddenly stopped working, and was unable to load windows. Through tech support, this was determined to be a motherboard problem and that I'd have to send in the system to have it fixed. I was told it would take about two weeks, but it took a month supposedly due to waiting on a new motherboard to be shipped to them.

When I received the laptop it had a new problem; several keys on the right hand side of the keyboard did not function. I spoke to tech support again, and was told that I would be sent a new keyboard that I could install myself. But before it could arrive, the motherboard once again gave out. This second problem with the motherboard occurred less than two weeks after its initial fix.

At this point, I was frustrated, as classes had started up and not having a computer was difficult. I spoke to the head of Customer Service several times and, with much work, was able to get them to pay for overnight shipping. The only way to get them to listen was to involve my father, as they would not take the problem seriously when I spoke with them. A lengthy e-mail about the poor customer service received a short reply that did not even address any of issues.

In a few days I got it back-the motherboard was fixed, but the keyboard wasn’t. I called in and was told that they *thought* they replaced the keyboard, and I'd be called back that afternoon with a description of what had been done to it. That was Monday, and I was never called back. Friday, when I called the head of customer service to ask what was going on, I was told that it had been replaced, and they'd send out a new one for me to put in, as that may fix it. No reason for not calling me back, let alone an apology

Once again, before the keyboard arrived the laptop broke. The touchpad suddenly stopped working, and 30 minutes of tech support couldn’t fix it. I spoke to the head of customer service once again, who asked "Hasn't your warranty run out yet?" and told me that I could only send in the computer again. I spoke to the head of technical support, who is the only person I've spoken to in the past months that was polite and took the situation seriously. I sent the computer out overnight again, and they offered to upgrade my hard drive or RAM for free. While I appreciate the gesture, I wish that it had been fixed the first time.

The person who responded to me below is same woman who is the head of customer service. I called her about the offer to reimburse me for shipping and she said that the charge I got was due to packaging, which they don’t cover, and that I should “stop living in the past” and leave them alone about it.

I got back the computer that third time and within a week it broke. When I called in, I spoke to the head of tech support, and I was told that the problem was due to the two new sticks of ram they put in. When they looked at it, the motherboard was also causing it to crash.

I get it back, once again lied to about overnight shipping, and within a week, the motherboard broke for a 4th time.

Thankfully, I had contacted the Better Business Bureau. So, I received an EDL70 Notebook, which contained several upgrades. Though I was once again lied to about overnighting it, I finally received the working machine this last Monday, April 3rd.

However, they forgot to send me the charger. So, I called in and spoke to the head of customer service about the mishap: her reply was that they had a sheet checked off that said the charger was included, so it must be there.

Also, She said that this review and the BBB were making her look bad, and unless they “disappear” she won’t help me. She then said that I was lying, and had actually received it, and wanted to cheat them out of a 2nd charger

Later that day she a she agreed that they had most likely made a mistake, but if she were admit to her superiors it would make them look bad. She said that she “couldn’t throw her weight around like that” To get a new charger I’d have to pay $120

The reason I paid is that I realize what the priorities are at Hypersonic. They couldn’t care less about getting a machine working or fixing problems. A look at their rating on this site for the past 6 months makes that clear.

To have the head of customer service admit that she knows that her company is in the wrong but just doesn’t feel like doing anything about it is ridiculous. That’s the complete opposite of what customer service is. I don’t understand how they can’t see that the easiest way to get a good reputation is to have good customer service.

Ordering from this company was easily the worst decision I've made in regard to purchasing computers, and I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake. They're clearly unequipped to handle hardware issues and have no regard or respect for customers.

"When I first received my CX7, I noticed a partially-lit pixel near center screen. I was disappointed that it hadn't been caught during the burn-in process, but when I called support, they were extremely helpful. They emailed me a return shipping label on the same day. I dropped my laptop off for shipment the next day, and they received it the day after that. Within another day, it was on its way back, and I received it that night. The entire return/repair process took three days total. This is especially impressive considering that I live on the west coast and Hypersonic is on the east coast. Aside from that partially-lit pixal, the computer has performed excellently, and is my main work computer as well as an excellent gaming computer."

"I purchased a GX7 from hypersonic. It was not delivered to me on time but when I asked why I was informed that they had found a problem with the speakers and were replacing one. This made me happy I went with hypersonic because they were showing attention to detail.

When I did receive my laptop within 20 minutes I found that the network card didn't work and they had installed a standard 3ghz processor when I had paid for a 3ghz extreme edition! There was an $800 dollar gap bewteen the two at the time. Had I not checked this or not known how, hypersonic would have $800 of my money for no reason.

I sent it back in after just receiveing it to have the mother board replaced to correct the NIC issue and the correct processor installed. Hypersonic included a gift in the form of a mouse valued at around $30 in am attempt to make up for sending me faulty and incorrect hardware.

Next the power brick died, which they replaced after that the LCD and converter for the LCD had to be replaced, then the power brick died again and at this point the laptop went out of warrenty. Shortly after the power brick died AGAIN! Which even after explaining to the sales person at hypersonic that there must be some problem because the last brick only lasted me 3 months, she simply asked if I wanted to buy another for $100 which I had no choice.

2 nights ago I booted it up, walked away for 15 minutes and then found that it was locked up. I shut it down and tried to turn it back on and the machine will not boot. The screen displays nothing, I tried booting with no battery, no hard drive, one memmory stick, then the other, then in different slots, nothing. Based on my readings from this same thing happening to others in forums, the motherboard is dead.

As I am a college student and spent most of my money allocated to my PC needs to purchase this laptop, I cannot afford to replace the expensive mother board (again). So my investment is now nothing but a $4000 paper weight. Even if I had the money it seems it would just be a matter of time before the mother board would need to be replaced again. (Note this laptop was always hooked up to surge protectors, dust cleaned monthly, and was transported in a hard Vanguard case.)

Based on the facts:

I have had nothing but problems with my hypersonic product since they day I recieived it.

Their advertised 72-hour burn-in process somehow missed the fact the the network card never worked to begin with and the correct processor was not even installed.

It was back in for service before I even got software installed on it.

It had to be sent back numerous times after that.

It is now dead and a waste of a large sum of money.

I can only say that I do not recommend anyone purchase product from this company.

Edit: In response to Hypersonic's comments. My point is, I do not have the money to repair this laptop again, I shouldn't have too. This is/was a top of the line peice of technology where one would expect quality parts for their dollar not have to pay again and again and again just to continue using it.

I am not saying you didn't honor your warrenty or support your product. I am saying that in my opinion other shoppers should not buy from you because I have had nothing but trouble and am now out of computer because I was under the impression that my laptop was well tested and while expensive it would serve me well for years to come. That simply was not the case.

I purchased a solution to my computing needs from your company because you advertised services such as burn-in period, this is a quote from your site "The burn-in process subjects the system to an extreme degree of stress by running multiple system intensive applications simultaneously for a 72-hour period. This process helps ensure that your system will work flawlessly out of the box and for years to come. In addition to the burn-in, every sub component of the system is individually tested for functionality and performance."

Almost every sentence in that advertisiment was not the case for the laptop you sold me.

"I have nothing but good things to say about Hypersonic PC Systems. I found them to be a very helpful whatever my question may have been. "Im a 3d modeling student at ucf, and the major requires all students to have laptops, pretty beefy ones in fact. I had an alienware before, was nice did me well, till my apartment got broken into and it had to be replaced. When i had ordered the alienware id been looking for the amd 64 x2 in a laptop, but no one had it yet. So when i had to replace it and i saw that hypersonic had one, and offered accidental damage protection i was excited. Ordered the system, the page told me it would ship usually ship before 28 days had past. I was happy, that ment i would have all christmas break to get it all setup before i went back to school. First ship date was listyed as november 28th, but when i checked on the 25th it had been changed to the 15th of december. Kinda bummed me out but for such i sweet laptop ok. Around this time alienware started offering the same laptop, but it was more expensive and didnt offer accidental damage so i was still happy. Some time around the 1st of december the shipping date was changed to dec. 23 and i was like its ok itll still hopefully be here for christmas, since it was part christmas presant too. December 23 allison B. calls to let me know that it wont ship till the 28th, in all the shipping date changes this is the first time ive actually recieved a phone call. Needless to say im frustrated by this point. School starts Jan 8th, i am running out of time. My mom calls Dec. 27th to ask that we be upgraded to overnight shipping for free, which they had aready done, props to them for that, and allison assures us, yes it will def. ship the 28th, or the 29th. Today, Dec 28th i go online to check if it has shipped and the date has now been changed to the 3rd of january. i call Allison and she tells me she is really confident it will ship the 3rd, but unfortunately i dont have any faith in allisons confidence anymore. The company also never called me to update me on this new developement. This is really pushing it, if the system delays again or doesnt work on arrival im screwed. i ordered it thinking id have a month to sort out any issues, but now its even to late to cancel the order and order somewhere else. And allison just dosent seem to care that its really important. I post an update on weather or not it works if it ever gets here."

"From day 1 of the process with Hypersonic, everything was 100% professional and done in a timely fashion. The only thing that slightly bothered me was when I ordered the cx7, I received a est ship date over 2 weeks after the original purchase. With this in mind I proceeded to call customer service and one individual over the phone(Allison) took upon herself to make sure my every need was accounted for. This being a gift for Xmas 2005 it needed to arrive b4 the 25th. with the original ship date of 12/20/05, that wasn't possible. She took the time to actually check on the machine status and get it pushed to ship on 12/14/05 instead, which landed it in my hands on the 19th. Another person to thank for this would be someone who posts on notebookforums named, ****@****. When I couldnt get thru to customer service due to time restrctions and someone actually being in the offices, Pat made sure to keep me updated as well as he could on my order status. Now onto the machine itself. I'm 100% satisfied with the purchase, as I got exactly what I was shopping for. Hypersonic in my opinion might be a little unknown compared to companies like Alienware, VoodooPC, or Falcon Northwest, but they make up for not being known with a product and service that once again in my opinion stands above the bigger named companies. For example, I won't go into too much detail, but one call to Alienware and I was treated rudely by someone who could barely even manage to explain the product she was selling. Meanwhile every question asked to Hypersonic was explained in detail and promptly with a great attitude. I will be purchasing more from Hypersonic in the near future, no doubt about it. "

"I ordered a Aviator CX7 online, called to check that I had completed the order correctly. Talked with couple of folks at Hypersonic, gave me a good impression and were pleasent the whole time. I checked back couple of times with them to see if all was well. PC arrived ontime and in great condition. Was packed very well. Start up was a breeze (as I am not a computer person) I had a very easy time getting up and running. For the product and service I have gotten so far, I would order from HyperSonic-PC again tomorrow if I needed another pc. "

"I received the Hypersonic Aviator EX7 5 weeks after order date (two weeks overdue). The bag that came with the system is cheap in quality, but, since I wasn't expecting one, it was nice to have it. Those are the only negative impresions so far.

I booted up for the first time, installed all software, and logged into a T-mobile Hot Spot successfully the next day after shipment. I have had no problems. In fact, this laptop is amazing...expensive, but amazing. I was in a Starbucks cafe downtown Chicago and the laptop (and game, WoW) created such a spectacle I had to find a quieter, smaller T-mobile Hotspot so I could get some online gaming done! :) I would recommend Hypersonic to anyone of means who is interested in a gaming laptop that can truly, if needed, replace one's current desktop pc with no tradeoffs in performance.

"I ordered a an Aviator EX7 with a P4 3.4 processor, 1GB Mushkin memory, Geforce Go 7800 video card, 80GB SATA HDD, and DVD +/- RW with Lightscribe. I waited a very long time to receive the laptop (received 8 weeks after I placed the order), and when I finally did receive it, I had nothing but trouble. As soon as I started up the laptop for the first time, I started having file corruption and instability problems. I was able to identify a defective memory chip and removed the offending piece of hardware. The system ran well for about 2 days after that, but then crashed as soon as I took the shiny new laptop on its first trip. About 50% of the time when I attempted to start up the computer, it would not recognize my HDD. The other 50% of the time when I attempted to start up the computer, it would not even post the bios. It just sits there with the power lights on, a blank screen, and no fans running. Their offered solution was to ship the computer back and let them fix it. I decided that I did not want to pay that much money for a repaired/rebuilt computer without ever having really received a new computer. I asked that they either refund my money or exchange the computer for one of the pre-built ones that they listed on their site for a similar price as I paid for mine. Their response, "That will cost you an 18% restocking fee." An 18% restocking fee for a defective product! It's not like I'm returning a product just because I changed my mind. This is (was) a $3000 laptop, and it didn't work from the moment I opened the box. My only choices are to either ship it back to them so they can fix it (I'm not at all excited about continuuing to do business with these guys at this point) or eat $540 just for ordering a product that doesn't work. I hope that everyone doing research on which laptop to purchase will see this post and think carefully about their policies/procedures before dealing with this company.

Update: I feel it is fair to let everyone know that they have since contacted me and offered to waive the restocking fee. It took a little time, but they eventually did do what was necesarry to take care of their customer.

"Hypersonic and the EX7 Aviator I purchased have easily outdid my expectations, now to address what I have read prior to my purchase in this site. I would agree whole hardily with the build time frame if a custom is ordered. But folks if I ordered anything custom, one must be patient to let the artists create.My laptop is a screamer that is a blast to run. My warranty service was painless on a defective battery, and as for communicate, sometimes the sqeaky Wheel gets the grease. I would order from again in a heart beat."
