"This ThinkPad T40 has been awesome. Had for a decent price. There was a problem with the main board about 4 months down the road and customer service couldn't have been better. I spoke with someone in America, and they overnighted everything. The entire process only took 3 days from placing the service call to getting back and running."
"Ordered hard drive and got comfirmation, 2 weeks passed and no delivery or any follow-up. Then got an email from them says there was an error in price and the order is cancelled. Treated customers like fools. Worst customer service I've every had. Big shame for the Big Blue."
"Ordered a 80GB laptop harddrive for $52.72 on Feb 3 2006. I have doubted it might be a price mistake. BUT THAT PRICE STAYED FOR TEN DAYS! I have been shopping online for many years but have never seen a price mistake stayed even half that long. So it must be a correct price!
Only after 22 days they finally decided to send me a cancellation email. This is probably the longest wait in e-commerce history! Any random store from froogle search will probably react 10 times faster.
I used to love IBM, for their Thinkpad is absolutely the best. Now they sold PC business to Lenovo, and they apparently can't do e-commerce either. What is left for IBM?"
"Great, easy transaction - thanks!"
"Placed an online order and received an immediate confirmation. From that point had no communications until two full weeks later when I received an email cancelling my order and offering to sell me the same item at roughly 9X the original price. There really is no excuse for a two week delay."
"Took over 11 days after initial online order to receive the following email. IBM - industry leader and ecommerce solution? I think NOT.

"Ordered a 80gb hard drive with p/n # 13N6805. After two weeks, I was told this order was cancelled because of price error. Definitely it is not me, the customer's problem. It is unbelievable that the price of this item was CORRECTTED to $522.00."
"I ordered one part for thinkpad which was supposed to be sent overnight. They replied back after 13 days saying that it was pricing error and a 80GB laptop harddrive should cost $522. If you want to order at this price, order it again. Your current order is cacncelled. You are right!, any insane would order a HD at this time. Unprofessional. Cancel the order if there is a pricing error but do the following..
1. Inform the customer in 1-2 days. not after 2 weeks.
2. Give a right price...I would say around $100-200, no need to give stupid number like $522. I am ordering a HD not a diamond from a jewellery shop. "
"Website is very poorly run.
A price that in the end turned out to be a pricing mistake stayed on their site for over a week. After ordering I tried to log into their site to check on the order status, as directed in their confirmation email. That did not happen.
IBM waited 10 days to cancel my order, as stated by the reviewer below. If they cannot handle a pricing error with any kind of efficiency, how will they be with any other problems that might crop up?
There are other retailers, who sell the same items for less, that actually do their job when it comes to problems."
" Took them 10 days to email me on 2/13/06 that there was a price mistake and my order for 3 harddrives would not be honored! Also ordered on the same day 3 external aluminum drive cases for said harddrives. Thank you for your recent order to purchase IBM parts from U.S. Maintenance Parts on ibm.com.

Only took them 10 days to notify me...........Does it seem like they care about client satisfaction? "
"online order, get confirm email instantly, can't check status online, got cancel email 10th day later. .... "
"Placed my order on IBM.com. Never received item so I called to check the status. CSR told me there was an error on the website which caused the delay, she told me to not worry and my order WILL be shipped. Waited a few more days, received an email saying my order has been canceled. I am extremly dissatisfy with IBM's dishonest attitude. Do NOT buy from IBM."
"IBM has the worst service in the world. I got a web order cancallation today and called in because I had talked to them a couple days ago and they had said they would honor this order. Then I get this email so I call in to find out what is going on and this rude lady just kept telling me "All the information is in the email" and just keeps repeating that over and over again, cutting me off and not letting me talk and ask her anything! What kind of service is IBM running?? DONT BUY FROM THEM!"
"I called IBM to order a 22 inch CRT monitor. I was told that it was in stock and should be shipped any day. A week later, I called back. This time I was told it was on backorder but should be shipped within 7-10 days. This same story was repeated at least once more and by a Supervisor. I finally had to almost demand to speak to a Manager (the supervisor's supervisor) to get a striaght story. I was dumbfounded when she told me that the monitor was no longer being made! Clearly, one hand of IBM didn't know what the other was doing. Poor database management, etc. Scary. I was planning to buy an IBM thinkpad, but I have reservations now."
