"Purchased laptop disk drive which was defective. Returned the drive on 10/24/2011 and Impact Computers claimed it was 'NOT defective'. Explained why the drive WAS defective: BIOS test failed. Impact Computers stated they would not refund full amount let alone replace the defective drive; and in two weeks time has not refunded any amount. Does not return e-mails. "
"Bait and Switch Retailer
I ordered a specific dvd drive from this site, I needed the exact one for a Bose surround sound unit, they sent me a different drive. I contacted them about the issue, the said they send it back and they would have the exact one I ordered sent to me after the other was returned. They wanted me to pay for the return shipping, and after a few emails to them about filing a complaint with the BBB they sent a UPS return label. They got the drive back, and instead of sending the other that they said would be sent they said I would be getting a refund that could take up to 15 business days to receive. I contacted them after a couple weeks to complain about the 15 business days, and they just refunded my Paypal account less shipping, siting their return policy of not returning shipping. They charged right at $12.00 for a shipment that cost less than $6.00 to send.
I will be filing a complaint with Paypal and the BBB, and I recommend anyone here that has had problems to do the same.

Here is my story; I needed a power supply for a HP computer. I searched the internet for the exact part number that I needed. Impact computers showed they had the exact part number that I needed and it was in stock. Fantastic! I placed the ordered and when I received it the following week, the item they shipped me was not the item that I ordered. The part number didn’t correlate and the power supply was twice the size of the one that I needed. I called Impact Computers thinking that it was an honest mistake on their part and they would eradicate this issue right away. The lady on the phone looked up my order number and said they were aware they didn’t ship me the part number that I ordered. They didn’t have the item in stock as it is a special order part so they shipped me an alternate part that should work. I asked the lady why they didn’t contact me to ask me if it was ok to ship me something I didn’t order and she said that was their policy. As you’ll soon find out their policies are absurd. When I asked for a return label to send the incorrect item back, she said it is their policy that they do not pay for shipping on the items even when they send the wrong item. When I questioned their policies, the lady said, “I’m just the messenger, it isn’t my policy”. I asked the lady if this happens a lot and she confirmed with “Quite often”. So based on their policy, I can go on their website and order a motherboard and they can ship me a rock and I would have to pay to ship it back if I want my money refunded. After the conversation I checked the website for the part number I ordered and it still showed they carry it and it is in stock. Can you say false advertising? More disappointed I could not be at that point but what choice did I have so I shipped the part that I didn’t order back to Impact Computers. When I checked my credit card statement I noticed that I didn’t get my full refund. When I contacted Impact Computers again and asked why I didn’t get a full refund. They told me that it is their policy (here we go again) to not refund the shipping portion of the order even though they are the ones that shipped the wrong item. So not only do I have to pay for the shipping to send the incorrect part back but I also have to pay for the shipping to send me the wrong part!!! All they had to do was contact me and let me know they didn’t have the part in stock and see if I wanted to wait or if it was ok to send something else. Instead they threw something in the box that might work and stuck me with two shipping bills. I order from the internet daily for my business and from time to time we either get a defective part or a wrong part. Mistakes happen, I get that. But reputable companies such as Amazon, newegg, buy.com, etc have always taken accountability for their mistakes and paid to ship the item back and drop shipped a replacement item almost immediately. Shame on you Impact Computers! You are a great disservice to your customers and hopefully future customers will read this before losing money like I did. A quick search on ripoffreport.com will confirm my findings with several other disgusted ex customers. One more thing, anybody notice they have reviews on their website but there isn’t a place to add a review? I even registered myself on their website to write a review about my horror story and there still wasn’t a place to write a review. They obviously control their reviews hence why all the reviews are marked as excellent.

My mistake ordering from your company....it was clear from my order that the hard drive was for a specific dell computer. The drive ordered did not fit. Not only did you not refund my purchase but you deducted well over the 15% restocking fee....as a matter of fact you returned only 58% of the purchase price of 59.95 for a total of 34.95. Incredible. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

"Purchase heat sink for a laptop. Unit was advertised as new with thermal interface material. Unit arrived in timely manner. Unit that arrived looked used and did not included thermal interface material. After installing unit with after market thermal paste unit did not correctly conduct heat to the fins causing the processor to overheat. Return unit to impact computers for exchange. Refused to exchange product claiming unit was not defective. Purchase another replacement directly from manufacturer and did not have any issues with that heat sink. Will not use this retailer again. Do not recommend retailer"
"Completely false advertisement. They do not carry inventory, the resell from other eBay sellers and they claim that they have 1% return rate. That's is just impossible. They probably have close to 10% return rate. They just buy the lowest price and lower quality from eBay and resell it to you for 10x.
I got that order number from the packing slip your "supplier" failed to not include. You obviously ask them to blind ship. You do not carry stock at all."
"Ordered 2 different power supplies. Took them out to our customer to install and found they didn't fit. Reviewed the the part numbers on the power supplies and compared them to the packing slip and found that not only did they send out the wrong parts but they knew they were sending out the wrong power supplies because the part ordered and the part shipped had different part numbers, for both power supplies. Looking at these reviews, it seems to be a common theme lately that this company sends out the wrong parts. It has been over two weeks and my customer's pc is still down."
"****DO NOT SHOP HERE****We ordered a part, they sent the wrong one, after contacting them to let them know, they sent a return shipping label to us, only after many requests did they send a shipping label. This also was a fight since they didn’t think they should pay for return shipping. They credited our credit card for the cost of the part only, not the original shipping. When they sent the correct part they charged us for shipping again. We made several attempts asking them to correct this. Per my phone conversation with Yuri on 9/14/11 he said absolutely they would NOT be refunding our money for the original shipping ($10.15). He said they had already paid the shipper and he could not get his money back so he would not refund ours (KEEP IN MIND THEY ARE THE ONES WHO SENT OUT THE WRONG PART TO BEGIN WITH). He also said "It was a company rule to not refund shipping charges and rules were not meant to be broken. If we started breaking the rules we would lose money. It clearly states on our website that there is no refund for shipping. This includes if we send out the wrong part". I sure wish I had read the other posts before buying from Impact Computers. Not only are they getting a very negative review, they have lost a customer for life......all over $10.15. Apparently Yuri does not understand the concept of good customer service. The prices of their parts might be reasonable, but they start getting very expensive when you have to pay twice to have the right part shipped. "
