"I wish I had read this website before ordering from this company. A horrible experience in customer service and shady business practices. For all of you, please be warned that if it is their fault that they shipped you the wrong part, you will have to pay for shipping back to them even though, it's their fault. This company shipped me the wrong processor and incorrectly advertised on their website online that the processor would be good for a Poweredge 4400 and a Precision 620. I have a Precision and when I received the part, all was well. After receiving the part, I found out that I had the wrong processor. I first noticed this because when attempting to insert the processor, the cartridge would not seat all of the way inside, it would be about a quarter of the way in. As I thought I had the right processor and it was inserted correctly, I turned on the computer and it shorted my power supply. I ordered another power supply from this company and I checked the processor and compared it with the other one I had. I found out that they were not the same and you can not just swap a Poweredge 4400 and Precision 620 as I confirmed this with the Dell tech support. So, my fault for not checking there and trusting in this company at all, but when I needed to send the processor back for the correct one, the company stated that I should pay for shipping back. After they wasted my time and money, they are going to push me to pay shipping back to them. At this point, it's all about principle, I have never had a company ask a customer to pay for shipping back to them when it's their fault in the first place as it isn't morally sound. Additionally, only to find their Shipping Charges section on their website does not say that you are responsible for shipping even though it's their fault they shipped you the wrong part. So, I called and emailed them only to receive the worst customer service I have to date. The customer service department appear to be told to not take exceptions into consideration as they want nothing to do with paying for shipping charges. That's fine if you want a un-friendly customer service approach, but state that on your website on each product page that if it is their fault, you are paying regardless. After discussing with the representative that did the RMA, I was asked to email to a supervisor who would get back to me about the request. This person is named Jasmin. Each email sent to her was ignored as her replies were templates and no real effort was made to take any action of responsibility. In fact, she sent me the same template email twice for two unique emails I had sent her. As I am apart of the SBA and own a business, I would quite honestly have fired her for taking that approach in ignoring me in that way as I am thoroughly appalled that their management will nickel and dime every customer they come across. Afterwards, I was disgusted and decided I will pay for shipping back to them and that I will ask to receive a full refund as I cannot morally conduct business with a company who cares very little for my time, money and are not morally sound. I am still in the process in sending it back to them, so I don't know how this will end right now, but I will certainly keep this posted. Overall, it was the treatment I received from Jasmin and the lack of accountability.

After reading the previous post on this website and seeing that this company was willing to provide the customer a free shipping label, proves my point further of the unfairness of this company. Why couldn't they provide me this same courtesy? Below is the email they provided me that basically states, we can't verify that we sent out the correct part, so sorry if you have to pay for shipping back to us. Is that fair? I have already notified my associations to stay away from this company, but I will say, at least they say they are refunding my money. Company's like this need to go out of business, I believe we have all been nickel and dime'd enough to put up with this crap.

"In a word, terrible. Needed 4 server-class hard drives (also called "Enterprise class") ASAP for a replacement for a defective server and found what appeared to be the best deal for some nice, heavy-duty Hitachi units at impactcomputers.com, and their site indicated that they had over 20 in stock. When we got the delivery from them, however, we discovered that 4 cheap Western Digital desktop hard drives had been substituted for the Hitachi units -- apparently from the packing slip, the Hitachi's weren't available and that the Western Digital's were supposedly compatible substitutes. Ummm, no.
If this wasn't frustrating and annoying enough, it took the office manager the entire morning into the beginning of the afternoon to get Impact to agree to cover the cost of shipping the drives back to them.

After getting Impact to agree to cover the costs of shipping the drives back to them, we received an email from Impact saying that we weren't going to be charged restocking fee, but they couldn't refund the cost of shipping ($9.75). The Office Manager had to call and have a lengthy conversation with the customer service rep, Melissa, and couldn't get through to a manager but had to agree to get emailed by them in regards to the matter. Eventually, we did get a refund for the original shipping costs, but we had to go through hoops to do so. "
"The Inventory counters on the website are inaccurate. I was led to believe there were over 40 of 2 separate products ordered in stock and neither product was on-hand. They had to have the products shipped to them and then they could ship them to me. As I needed to use these parts for a critical server repair. This was unacceptable. Customer service was nice, but unable to resolve this issue to my satisfaction. I was left with no option other than to have the order refunded. As there was a delay, I should have been notified immediately.
The parts that were ordered were a SCSI ROMB DDR 256MB Memory stick and a replacement battery for the same SCSI RAID Controller. When originally contacting Dell for the replacement part, I was advised that due to an extremely low demand for this part, they no longer stock it. However, by chance, it seems that Impact sold 40 of each of these parts before they had the opportunity to "update the site." I am disappointed that this excuse was used as it seems unreasonable."

"What A Ripoff Company!! I ordered a power cable for $69.95 that I just found online for $29 for my Kurzweil keyboard. Add to that $16.73 S&H for a whopping total of $86.68. No problem, if it's the right part. The computer showed that they had over 60 in stock. "The computer" then substituted a $39 cable since they don't even carry them. Not compatible at all! I guess the computer does not know how to adjust for the $30 price difference. I called to set up a refund and the customer service person said they won't refund the S&H even though they charged me $30 extra for a chord the computer substituted. When I finally pushed my way several days later to talk to a supervisor he just said that's their policy. We'll see if I get any portion of my money back. If not... I'll be back to update this review. True case of bait and switch... I recommend not to do business with companies that admit they let their computers take charge over what items are being sent out."
"Immpact Computers & Electronics were referred to me by HP. My goddaughter gave me a compaq laptop computer with intel 4 in it that belonged to her father after he died. The laptop was barely used and there were nothing stored in it, plus the battery was so dead, it couldn't charge. I called Compaq and HP in search for a laptop battery that works with my laptop & unfortunately, they didn't have it due to the fact that my laptop was an older model computer. I called Impact computers and spoke with Shannon who was really a big help to me, even explained to me the cheapest method of shipping. I received my laptop battery yesterday and installed and charged it in my laptop and now my laptop works perfectly. The battery was reasonably priced at $59.99 and the shipping was $8.70. Shannon was very nice & helpful and expedient with my order. Next month, I'm going to purchase a Wi-Fi piece for my laptop in case I want to take my laptop with me and do some work away from home. I recommend Impact Computers & Electronics for anyone that has outdated computers and electonics for update and repair. The products work well and the shipping is expedient and the prices are fair."
