"DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
They advertise at the lowest price, then after they've charged your card send you an e-mail saying the price has gone up. Yet for some reason, they are still listing the cheaper prices on their site and Google Shopping weeks later. You can cancel, but I'm still waiting for my money back. Obvious bait and switch scam. Maybe there have been some satisfied customers, but considering every item I ordered somehow had the price go up AFTER I ordered (without it going up on the site itself), something that has apparently happened to many others, I have my doubts. Listen to the bad reviews, DON'T SHOP HERE! It's not worth the hassle to THINK you'll be saving a few bucks on parts you can easily get elsewhere.

Edit: I love the response, do you really think that excuse makes you look any better? It doesn't. You're still listing it for the cheaper price. If the "market fluctuated" why doesn't the listed price reflect that? I bought them at the prices still shown on your website. You don't get to just decide to change the price after I've placed my order, especially while still advertising at the cheaper price. That's bait and switch and it's illegal. How you stay in business while clearly doing something illegal, and admitting to it, is beyond me. See the response below, proof positive not to shop here. "

"I won't buy from this vendor again! This company appears to practice unethical and illegal BAIT & SWITCH sales practices.

Purchased small computer cable online and paid by paypal - vendor paid, acknowledgement email sent by vendor. 1 week later, I receive a phone message and email from Julissa in Sales telling me that the price had gone up and I had to pay more to get the product- AFTER THE SALE WAS COMPLETE.

They say a refund is coming. I haven't seen it yet

"Completely non-responsive. Placed order, received confirmation email then it was into the "black hole" never to emerge again. Tried calling, black hole. Tried live chat, not live an email black hole. Called sales, back to customer service black hole. Finally talk to a person who said they would have to call me back and had no info on order. Asked to cancel order and only said I would receive confirmation of cancelation of order via email. never received. Worst company I have dealt with in years."

We placed an order for a replacement tape drive, which Impact's website indicated was in stock and available for a competitive price. A few days after placing the order, they called and indicated that they could no longer provide a refurbished drive at that price and instead suggested that we purchase a new tape drive.

We decided to ignore the bait and switch and placed the order for the new tape drive. When the tape drive arrived it was completely DOA. We promptly returned the tape drive and when we asked for the refund on our return shipping costs, we were informed that it was against their policy.

While I understand that if I was being a fickle consumer that I would have to pay for shipping, Impact shipped a defective product and doesnt have the ethics to stand behind their products.

We will never purchase from this company again, and suggest that you run rapidly away."

"False advertising. after i paid for item & shipping they e-mailed me asking for more $. i have contacted them 3 times trying to explain that what they do is false advertising but they just refer me to a hidden link where they deny all responsibility reserving rights to cancel any order which is what they did with my order. and please don't believe to what ever crap they'd write down below... . Apologize? Wasn't that apologetic when i was on the phone with them... 2's with customer service, 1's with manager. There no link to their policy at check out. Would not recommend this guys to any one... "

"Beware of this bait and switch company!

I needed a new power supply for one of my HP desktop computers. The original power supply was a DPS200pb139A. I searched many websites and found replacements for this power supply for around $35. I found the Impact Computers and Electronics website which claimed to have this exact power supply. I purchased the power supply for $49.95 (paying extra for what I thought would be the correct one) and paid $13.58 for Shipping and Handling ($63.53 total). When I received the order, I found that Impact Computers and Electronics did not have this power supply and chose to dump a "compatible" one on me instead. The one they sent did not have the HP Proprietary video power plug necessary for my computer to work. After contacting them and jumping through all of their return policy hoops, they did allow me to return the power supply. They refunded the $49.95 purchase price on 10/3/2011 (over a month later!). I was stuck with their shipping and handling fee of $13.58 as well as my expense to ship the power supply back to them ($11.65). This whole experience with this online company has cost me $25.23 and time running around to ship it back. A simple call from them instead of switching the product shipped would have made better sense. Perhaps with their volume shipping rates (likely very low) and what they charge for S&H (very high), they feel they can always make money regardless of whether you get what you need or not. Maybe that is their business plan; to never send the correct products and make loads of money on S&H."

"I order an Apple Flex cable from Impact Computers. They had a fair price and they said it was in stock. I then cancelled an order I had with another company because Imapact was local and seemed to have good reviews. They decided that the cable was worth more than I ordered it for and tried to increase the price from $12 to over $70. They then called to cancel the order when I refused to pay to price increase. They could have at least offered to match the price of what I had previously ordered from another company at. This is nothing but price gouging."
