"The true test of any company is how they solve problems with their customers. This is where Impact Computers fails miserably. If you get a defective part or they send the wrong part then you will be stuck with it. Read the negative reviews yourself and learn from other people's (and my) mistakes. Avoid Impact Computers.

I bought two identical video cards for one of my business computers about a year ago (the computer uses two cards with an SLI bridge). I saw the old paperwork in my files(tax time)and thought I should submit a review after remembering Impact Computer's horrible customer service. One video card was defective failed within 48 hours (overheated and smoking!)and the other card is still working fine (a year later). The replacement card purchased through another vendor is still working fine too. I went through the return process with Impact and they sent the generic email you see below. It lists three completely different reasons for them not to honor the warranty. It is a form letter that they use to avoid warranty returns. None of their allegations in the email are true. I asked them to clarify which one was their actual reason for denying the return. I did not receive a response. The email gives you only five days to pay to have the video card returned (to me). I declined because I didn't want to pay more money to have a defective video card sent back to me. That is what Impact Computers was counting on. In order to challenge a purchase through your credit card company you must have the disputed (defective) part sent to a third party. I didn't find this out through my credit card company before the part had already been "thrown out". Out of frustration I disputed the charge as a last ditch effort (only for cost of the defective card BTW) because Impact would not do the right thing. Buyer beware of Impact Computers and always pay to have disputed defective parts returned otherwise you have no recourse.
P.S.
Impact Computers now accuses me of trying to scam them in their response below (creeps). Disputing charges with your credit card company is the only mechanism consumers have to fight back against unscrupulous merchants. It is amazing how much detail they now remember about the transaction (a year ago). Now the card it didn't have their label on it. Complete BS. What about over clocking or improper installation, etc? Is that now not true? I am just a business owner that got ripped off by Impact Computers. Don't shop there.

"Obviously, most of these reviews are planted. These were most likely submitted by the employees of the company. Reviews on Complaints.com and Ripoffreports.com describe a very different picture.

I experience bad unethical service from these guys. I called customer service twice to ensure that it was right model in stock, then proceeded to order it online. Received the wrong DVD drive and it had a broken piece fall of it while removing it from the sealed bag in which it was packed. CS was informed of it and requested for them to provide a prepaid shipping label for the defective wrong part they sent. They refused to cover the costs of the return shipping and the shipping costs in the original order. Provided photographs of the wrong drive and screen captures of the online ordering process. They said that there is a 'No freight refund' policy on some other page of their website. This policy was no where to be found on any pages of the shopping and ordering process. Not even any of the emails prior to the receipt of the order was there any reference to this policy. Not one hyperlink. There wasn't even a checkbox to check for me to agree to their terms of the sale. Later, I spoke to the supervisor and he refuse to cover the cost of their mistakes made on the order and refused to be accountable for their incompetence. The supervisor strangely changed to an irrelevant topic and wanted to know what DVD drive was in my computer instead of focusing on his business obligation to provide the correct new DVD drive that was advertised on the product page and ordered. This company is a scam and has been reported to the Florida State Attorney General's office and the FTC. If you have had a similar experience, don't hesitate to report it.

02/12/2011 - Order number was corrected as it seemed to be an issue with the review submission form.

Thank you ResellerRatings.com for allowing the function of merchants to refute customer reviews.

IC&E's false claim of service on my purchase was seen by the credit card company I used to make the purchase. A dispute was filed against IC&E for failure to deliver the merchandise as promised and failed to follow their vague (unspecified) policy of covering the cost of mistakes on their orders. The credit card company obtained IC&E's public response here as evidence of IC&E's consumer fraud tactics. They were very disturbed to see that the merchant claimed in this response that the account was refunded. But the credit card company knew the absolute truth to refund as there was absolutely no refund transaction from IC&E to be seen in the credit card company's system. Hence, I was refunded the full amount of the order including the shipping charges. IC&E's promise to provide a prepaid return shipping label was enough evidence to show the wrong/defective drive was returned. However, IC&E still has not yet provided that prepaid return shipping label. The credit card company charge IC&E the order amount refunded to me and penalized them for failing to meet their obligations as a merchant in this transaction.

IC&E, be careful what you say in public. Because, it will be held against you in the court of the consumers.

Yury4Impact, go ahead and lie to the world that you sent a prepaid shipping label as you promised. I thought I should let all of you consumers out there know that Yury4Impact has refused to send me a prepaid return shipping label for the mistake of an order Impact Computers sent to me. I requested multiple times through email and over the phone for a return shipping label, but he refused. Here on this website he makes a complete contradictory from the below statement saying that he does not pay return shipping. See for yourself. It came straight from his email.

I recently received a shipment from them with no apparent shipping damage, but when the package was opened, it was apparent the item has been damaged at some point before reaching me. I asked if they would issue a call tag to pick the item up. They referred me to their strict policy regarding shipping defective products and refused to issue a call tag. "

"I am a technician at Florida International University and I and I have been dealing with Impact Computers for over a year now. We order a few times a week from Impact and never have any issues. "Raul is the MAN!
I use Impact Computers as a vendor for my company.
We order about once every week or every other week.
Raul always does his best to help me find parts, match prices, and get me the best deal on shipping.
I've only had to send two parts back so far out of the many I have ordered from impact.
When I did; the RMA it was simple. I got my parts back relatively quick and had no issues.
Raul is very personable and a joy to talk to. Most of my orders take about five minutes and everything is done correctly.
I'll be sticking with this rep for his and my foreseeable future, as hopefully our two companies’ continue to grow and expand.

"I ordered a hard drive for my customers computer and when they got it they couldn't figure out how to install it. I called customer service and spoke to Naomi who was kind enough to walk me through the installation process which was a bit tricky. There was a drive bracket that needed to be transferred from the old drive to the new drive. Naomi was patient with me as we figured it out.
