As for the Vance & Hines header pipes, the install was documented, not well, but manageable. If you can not install these without the instruction, do not work on a motorcycle!
They sound very well, loud, but not too loud. I use them in conjunction with V&H Hi-Output slip-ons.
Two things are HIGHLY recommended:
1. Buy and use the recommended (flat) exhaust gaskets from Vance & Hines (or similar). They seal better then the HD gaskets.
2. USE A TUNER! The bike will not run correctly without proper adjustment. I have no decal popping, or any other ill effects."
