My father bought a system from Kevin and is starting to learn how to use it. (He’s now 71 yrs. old!)

Dad found a computer game he wanted to run.
We e-mailed Kevin with the system requirements
and let him built the cheapest system to run that program.

The time and ease of letting Kevin do everything was what urged me to send my father to KC-Computers.

The past help I have had has let me recommend KC-Computers to others and brought me back to buy our third computer.

This is my second system bought from KC Computers. Kevin, the owner of the Co. and I emailed each other over 20 times as I and my wife decided what we wanted.

After I placed my order the monitor on our present system started to go bad, Kevin shipped the new one ahead of the total system for a small fee.

One of the nice things about this purchase is that I work different shifts and this all took place over Thanksgiving holiday. But whenever I emailed Kevin I had a quick response the longest time about 1 day on the holiday its self.

I bought a Dell for my son about 2 yrs. ago and it has been a good computer. But after checking prices and adding in the Dell’s support for 4 yrs. verses Kevin’s lifetime support I didn’t want to take the risk.

The system I’m replacing is the one I bought from Kevin 8 years ago."

"My experience KC Computers has been excellent. They were very helpful and patient in helping me pick out the parts for my PC. They would often answer my emails in a shorter amount of time than the amount of time some companies have had me on hold on the phone. On top of all of this their prices are very decent. What I was looking for was listed for a little bit lower price at another company, but it had a significantly lower rating than KC on this site. "This is an update on my review of KC Computers. In May of 2010 I learned the company is no longer in business.

I learned of KC Computers from a PC forum and this web site. I wanted a trustworthy and knowledgable person to build my first non-Dell PC. I've had my custom PC for about 2-3 weeks and I'm very happy with it and KC Computers.

The owner, Kevin, was friendly and professional during the entire process from specification to shipment including a few questions after I received the PC. Kevin is exactly the kind of person I was looking for, but I initially thought I could only find someone locally that met my needs. As it turned out, I was disappointed by a few local shops that didn't appear to have the technical skills or experience I was looking for while Kevin impressed me.

I specified most of the components while Kevin gave me a sanity check or alternative recommendations if I was off base. Kevin was always very communicative and I never felt uneasy regarding the transaction. Kevin did not have standard products that he pushed for his own personal incentives. Rather, he was always open to my requested components, even though sometimes they were not on his pricelist. He was exceptionally accomodating throughout the process as I changed specs along the way.

Regarding prices, you can expect to pay more for the components than if you were to buy them from an online discount parts shop, but KC Computers prices include assembly and lifetime support. The price Kevin charges is reasonable based on the included system assembly, test, and lifetime support.

I received everything that was promised to me, including all the spare parts, documentation, and CDs.

I would definitely buy again from KC Computers. Although I can build my own PC, I felt that for the small amount of additional money, I wouldn't have to deal with defective or incompatible components and I would have someone to act as a single point of support in the future.

I'm totally satisfied and highly recommend KC Computers. I only wish I would have known about him prior to buying my wife's limited life Dell last Christmas.

"My brother purchased his system from KC several months ago and was very pleased. Judging by the reviews on this site and from my brother's experience it seemed only natural to use KC for my next PC purchase.

For years I had built my own systems but as I've gotten older, I've decided I have better things to do than deal with a box of parts and rolling the dice with Plug-n-Play, so I contacted KC to see about a new high-end system.

Let me say that Kevin (the owner) is wonderful to deal with. He answers emails almost instantly and is very flexible. You never get the feeling that he is over-selling or has any bias one way or the other. He did make recommendations that I found useful (such as recommending a cheaper mobo). If there's a component he doesn't stock, he will get it and install it without question.

He set up my system exactly as I wanted it.

KC computers thoroughly tested my system prior to shipment. They found a bad RAM stick and replaced it.

When the system arrived, the monitor was dead :-( We surmised UPS trashed it during shipment as Kevin tested it prior to shipping. I emailed Kevin about the situation and he responded in 5 minutes(!), no questions asked, no hassles, arranged for UPS to pick it up and cross-shipped a new monitor. Let me tell you folks, THAT is customer service. THAT is how it's supposed to be. Because when problems arise, you want someone who stands by their customers.

KC is not the cheapest reseller, but when you factor in customer service, tech support for life, and the care with which they treat each system they sell, the overall value is excellent.

It is very important that we as consumers spread the word about small businesses like this, which are a rarity these days. KC has a "10" rating here for good reason.

"I had my Studio PC updated to 3GB Ram which required a new motherboard & such. KC Computers did the upgrade, saved all my installed software as well as both text and picture files. Some of these text files contained sensitive personal financial information but, from previous experience with KC, I had total confidence. There were some problems with MS OS running graphics software, which is common, but no problems with the construction of the computer. All questions via email were answered promptly (some within 10 minutes). And the answers were thorough and clear. I'd never buy a PC from anyone else. From the old motherboard and other parts he built me a very inexpensive computer for my home. Thanks Kevin, you're the go-to guy for computers!

"I am a software engineer and after I finally heaved my 486 into the creek -- I decided to build a new computer from scratch. I worked in the electrical engineering department --so I got lots of advice on which component to pick and I even sent in some Removable CRU Dataport cartridges for housing the different hard drives I wanted to use. I keep my internet hard drive out when I do personal Photoshop editing to prevent viruses. Anyway -- Kevin and his group were very accomodating in installing my hard drive housings for me. -- Very good. One of the best things is that the email is very quickly returned -- within hours (does this mean Kevin needs to get a life )-- don't know and don't care just like the quick and intelligent response. "Excellent service!!

Placed an order for an AMD 3500+ ASUS A8V Combo. I had a lot of questions and the OWNER Kevin answered them all.He replied to my e-mails in a couple of hours EVEN on a SUNDAY!

It took a few days to test the board and CPU but my credit card was charged only when he shipped my order.

Good packaging. Excellent support. Priced a bit higher but I'd gladly pay a few extra $$ for excellent support.
