My confirmation says "Your order should ship within 5-7 business days, hopefully sooner..." No where did it indicate it was out of stock, I saw nothing being charged to my charge card so I called and left a message on the answering machine they provided and no one called me back. As I was out of town, when I returned I called on Feb 20th and spoke to Customer Service who let me know it was out of stock as was it's more expensive counterpart and would not be in until later in April. No where did it say it was out of stock, No one answered my message, No one sent a message saying it was out of stock. I sent this as a gift along with sending many other packages from other companies all of which arrived except the KNIFE CENTER. When I called the only options I was given was to wait til April sometime or cancel. I cancelled and will not use them again."

"Ordered a DMT Diaflat from KnifeCenter on Nov. 1. At the time of order, the website indicated that it ships within 5-7 days. I had a deadline for the package to arrive for Dec 18 before Christmas holidays. On Dec. 10, I contacted KnifeCenter as I still received no shipping notification and was told that the plats were expected "any day now and that they should arrive on time." A few more days passed and I queried again and on the 14th was told again that they would ship on that day though they couldn't guarantee that it would arrive by the 18th. Hoping that the package could arrive within 4 or 5 days, I didn't cancel the order. Much to my chagrin, though, the order didn't ship on the 14th. On the 15th, I inquired about the order and indicated that if it hadn't shipped, that I would like to cancel the order. On the 16th, I received a response indicating that the order had shipped and that there was no want to cancel the order. Checking the tracking information indicated the package wasn't going to make it on time. I had KnifeCenter recall the package and subsequently cancelled the order but I had to eat the $11 recall fee.

My only complaint with KnifeCenter in this case is that I felt strung along for many days when they probably had good indication that the order wasn't going to make it for the 18th as I had originally indicated. Of course, me having to eat the $11 recall fee certainly doesn't make the experience any better."
