"We have a few different Lorex systems.
Our most recent purchase was a wireless system.
Horrible! Maybe we are a "little" spoiled from our other system which is a wired HD system but the wireless cameras on our new system keep connecting and disconnecting.
Most of all... the Stratus remote software is HORRIBLE. (yes... I have used the word horrible twice).
Trying to rewind to view past events is nearly impossible and the software is confusing.
Worst of all..... trying to call Lorex sucks.
I have to admit, once you finally get through (after about one hour) they are very helpful and go out of their way to help.
So far... when they say they will call back... they have.
This wireless system has very poor resolution and people are unrecognizable. It's so bad we are changing to a wired system as we speak."
"Usually a company wants you to fill out a survey about your experience immediately after your purchase. They have learned the sooner a customer fills out a survey the better rating they generally get. I like the fact that Lorex has waited until I have owned the cameras for at least 4 months before asking to complete the survey. The cameras are great! Great HD 1080p quality and easy installation. I watch the cameras on my tv, computer and phone. "
"I upgraded to 4 camera wireless with 9 inch monitor (had 2 camera wireless with 7 inch monitor but it interfered with home wireless network). System had several problems. Support didn't know product. Said they would send new system to replace. Only received monitor which resolved monitor problems but not camera problems. Cameras sometimes record when nothing there and other times does not record when someone is moving right in front of it. Not satisfied."
"I was rather dismayed by the lack of picture clarity, You can't really identify anyone on the screen. I had installed an operating system at my brother-in-law's apartments and his is so clear you can read license plates so when mine wasn't that clear I was surprised."

"I had previously ordered a Lorex security camera system in January of 2013. The DVR failed a few weeks after the warranty expired. I ordered another new system with cameras and a DVR in June of this year and although the DVR seems to be working, I cannot reliably access it remotely. After reading the comments on some blogs this seems to be a common issue which Lorex seems to refuse to address. Overall I am very unsatisfied with their product and customer support."
"I ordered I 4 camera system with 8 camera capabilities and have since added the 4 other cameras. Had an issue with the DVR after a month and had a smooth and quick replacement process under warranty. Great experience with all equipment since then and the problem was resolved quick and without fuss. Highly recommend Lorex and their products. "
