Husqvarna 4 wheel drive mower **** and Lowe's Lake Jackson lied

"Do not buy any mower from Lowe's. We purchased a Husqvarna mower and the extended warranty. Extended warranty is not worth paper it is written on. First of all, my husband called the store when he noticed a crimp in the cable while putting mower together. He called the store and a sales representative told him just to use the mower until it breaks and no problem, at that time, it will be replaced no charge. Well, it broke and now Lowe's or extended warranty will not replace cable free of charge. Lowe's wants to charge us 100.00 to replace the cable that my husband reported as defective and will not honor what we were told. Total crap. It's a racket. Paid a lot for this piece of crap Husqvarna 4 wheel drive push mower. Ripped off by Lowes and Husqvarna extended warranty purchase. Never again. Do not waste your money on any Husqvarna products or extended warranties that are not worth the paper they are written on."

Lowe's Simply doesn't Care

"Worst online ordering, processing, follow-up, and customer service I have yet to encounter/endure. I will never order anything from Lowe's again. Placed an order for vanity lights on April 10, 2107 - as of May 8, 2017 not received and issues not acknowledge beyond assigning blame to manufacturer and their choice of shipper. Going forward, I will only shop in-store with Lowe's when/if I have no other choice for the product I seek. I will strive to shop Home Depot exclusively over Lowe's and encourage everyone I know to do the same.

Bottom line.....Lowe's just doesn't care. I understand that now.

if you do not want your time wasted do not go there.

"I placed order online for delivery by truck. They screwed me completely. Instead of Tuesday as promised I received it Sunday. Contractors did not have materials and I had to pay them extra. Next time I placed an order I was expecting contact from them about delivery date. But when I called I was told that order was cancelled by store. Nobody could explain why. Horrible experience.... Never ever again!!! I'd better go to Home Depot."

Most horrific experience ever

"I bought 2 ceiling fans from Lowes online. Upon delivery, I paid an electrician to install them. (I got a deal on Angies's List which should have covered the time for both, easily). I took a half day vacation from work, and paid $125 for the electrician. One of the fans was fine, but the second one was defective (the remote that came with it did not work). The electrician spent so much time trying to figure out what was wrong with it and finally determine that it was bad, that I "used up" all of my time with him. Not his fault. And, stuff happens. But, it got worse from there. I ordered another fan, exact same one through Lowes.com again. I did instore pickup, since it was 2 days faster, and I figured I had to return the defective one anyway. I rescheduled the electrician to come back and install it on a Monday morning, since the fan was scheduled to come into the store on a Friday (the 1st 2 fans were delivered 3 days earlier than expected). When Friday came and no e-mail, I started calling- the store, the central customer service line, all weekend. I was told all sorts of crazy things. Their system didn't always track packages, it might be in the store but they just didn't know it, etc. By Sunday night, someone from customer service told me that someone from the store would call me on Monday one way or another to let me know where my fan was. I called the electrician and cancelled. But I could not cancel my half vacation day from work - it was already too late for that! So, that was wasted! On Monday- no call ALL day. I gave til 4, then I called the store. After explaining my saga for the umteenth time, I was put on hold for a half hour, and someone finally got on to tell me that the fan was out of stock and not available til mid June! (this was 4/24) He was apologetic, and nice enough, and cancelled the order, and refunded my credit card. I returned the original defective one the next day. But then realized that with both fans, on my Lowes card, I had been eligible for 6 month financing, which I chose. By returning one fan, I was no longer eligible. So, I called the Lowes credit card company to see if, under the circumstances, I could get the 5% discount offer instead. They told me they could not help me and I had to deal with customer service! Long story short, i called them, got passed around to about 6 people - TWICE back to the credit card company, even though I said clearly that I already spoke to them and they couldn't help me. After a ONE HOUR phone call, I got my 5 % discount. It was the principal at that point. I just found my exact fan on Amazon, and can get it in 2 days. Why I didn't just go there in the first place, I don't know. Would've saved me 2 extra 1/2 vacation days, and $125 extra to an electrician, for his second trip back to install the second good fan (FINALLY). I am not exaggerating when I say I will NEVER shop at Lowes again!!! "

Check outs

"Today I went to Lowes in Gulfport, Ms to purchase ONE item. Only having ONE item, I chose to use the self check-out (only one conventional check-out was open, and it had 4 customers in line). Upon completing my purchase and swiping my Lowes card, it asked for the last 4 digits on the card, same entered, asked again, same entered, asked again, same entered. I was finally told by the self check-out supervisor that I couldn't do that here, and would have to go to the conventional check-out, now only 3 customers deep! Why have the self check-outs as a convenience if they are NOT! I left without making the purchase. Lowe's is not the only game in town!"

The Walmart of Home Improvement Stores

"I have been a Lowes customer for decades and am in the final stages of a major master bath remodel that involved ordering custom cabinets and countertops from Lowes. If you can find what you are looking for at Lowes, it should be fine. We have never had any problems with returns. However, I would strongly advise customers to avoid any custom orders from Lowes. Lowes is the Walmart of home improvement stores. The prices are competitive but the service is dismal. This appears to be a staffing problem. Apparently they do not compensate their employees sufficiently to fill vacancies and to attract and retain knowledgeable staff. For custom items, I would gladly pay more for quality service. Here is one example: I called our store to check on one of our orders and was routed six times to people and departments that could not answer a simple question. Then my wife called and had the same experience. When she asked to speak with a manager she was told they were all in a meeting, but one would return her call, which they didn't. Here is another example: I was returning an item and the person I was working with had a telephone in each hand/ear and was continually interrupted by other staff. Everyone we have worked with at Lowes has been pleasant, but frequently their knowledge and skill level was inadequate. So, if you keep your service expectations very, very low, you will be fine. Otherwise, expect frustration."

"I had taken back some items after I had finished my project. Now I did not have receipts for all items but I had taken items back many many times without a receipt and was always given a in store credit which is fine with me. Well they rang up all items and ask how I paid for them, I said well cash or my CC. So she ran my CC card and said nothing showed up on it so I would need a receipt in order to return any of the items. I asked why this time was different then any other time I had returned items she said she did not know I needed to call the 800 on the receipt. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that was her, so I said can I get a copy of the return policy she said she did not have that and did not know what it was???? As a manager you cant explain to me what the policy is and why today it is different. So I told her I knew the threshold strip I had just purchased a few days earlier with my CC so I was not sure why her computer did not pick that up. So she ran it again this time just that one item and sure enough it refunded the money. I asked why it did not pick it up a few minutes earlier again she did not know. This is a scam, not refunding your money without a receipt! I had left my name and number and asked to have a STORE manager call me that was 5 days ago not even a call from anyone. I called the 800 on the receipt and was told to fax item numbers Qty, over to them with my name and number store that items were purchased ect... I did that last week still waiting to hear back. I will not purchase from Lowes moving forward if they do not do the right thing, I know I go to Home Depot and no receipt no problem. I spend thousands a year with Lowes and to be treated this was is unacceptable. I will post this to as many sites as I can to let people know, shop Home Depot!"

ordering installed blinds nightmare

"worst experience I have ever had with any store. First the store personnel didn't have a clue how to help me. Then I wanted a general price for blinds and they would not give an estimate. I had to pay to have them come measure my door before I could get any idea on price. After that the installer sent out to measure was a person I generally would not let in my house due to his dress and personality. Then supposedly 2 days later Lowes could give me a price and let me order. That did not happen for 5 days. After finally ordering, the blinds arrived at my location 32 days later. I then had to call Lowes to schedule an install date. On the install date, I was given a 4 hour window when they would be there. At the 3 1/2 hour time, installer called and said they would not be there that day. I got rather irate and they finally agreed to come on even though it would be late and I agreed. Three hours later I came to realize that nobody was coming. during this 3 hours I tried calling the installer company office 5 times, the installer whos number I got from caller ID, and the Lowes store. Voice mail every time for installer & company, and every time I called Lowes I was hung up on. I then went into the Lowes store rather irate and acquired a lot of attention.
A Lowes manager asked me to leave which I did. Next day I went back and talked to another store manager who was actually listened and was concerned about the experience and promised to take care of my issues. He had another manager whom it turns out I have had very good dealing with for the past 25 years and she set up a new installer who came out the next day. Too bad the blinds were not correct and here we go for another month of agony.
I will probably continue buying from Lowes but I cannot imagine buying installed service again.

One of the worst online retailers. Only buy things in store.

"Note: This is for Lowe's Canada. This is now the second time that I have received obviously USED merchandise. They also don't package "new" items with ANY protection. They just put it in a delivery bag. You know a company doesn't care about its clients when they do stuff like this."

Lowes Blows

"I bought windows, garage doors, and a front door back from Lowes in Oct. It is now Feb. the windows were installed by rookies who did a crap job and after multiple complaints they still haven't come out and fixed it. Front door order and installation was completely botched and that has been fixed either.

Buyer beware. Never ever purchase professional services from Lowes.

Be advised don't trust Lowes

"We bought and paid for 3500.00 dollops worth of flooring from Lowes in Vero Beach Florida in July of 2016.
The Prago brand laminate flooring has been lifting at the joints so much that it snags you're socks and chip's in places.
Dozens of phone calls and being put on hold for a manager.
Got us no ware.

We have made a big mistake by trading with
LOWES .
We invite anyone that is thinking of buying flooring from them to come take a look at our floor. We are in the Sebastian Florida area.
DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID.

worst customer service through all levels - they really do not care as long as they can sell you crap

"Bought a sink that was installed through a Lowe's contractor [ I save you the details of how many attempts that needed due to lowes' sloppiness in order to get finally done, but it took from purchase to installation about 2 month!!!] , after the sink and faucet installation the water leaked through the ceiling in the underlying bathroom, leaving quite some water damage. I have been since October 2016 [ it is January 2017 now] on the phone with first the plumbing department managers, then the store managers and then the customer service hotline - to no avail at all. They always say someone will take care of it and someone will call, no- one ever calls back. They really just don't care. I am even wondering at this point if they ignore the matter so profoundly because I am a woman. I can't believe this negligence particularly since on all the contractors paperwork and forms I signed they stated that they will follow up with phone call after work completion and will not stop until everything is done right- clearly a complete empty promise not backed up by any real intention. Quite unbelievable for such a big chain. Stay away - next time i will get all my purchases and installations done through an AMAZON installation service. "

Terrible experience with Lowe’s floor installation

"We are very frustrated and disappointed with Lowe’s and how they are taking no responsibility when their customer’s personal properties got stolen during the installation of laminate floor. We have Lowe’s to install laminate wood floor at our new house, a total of 7 rooms. It’s a 3 day’s project. We have a few boxes with fragile items in the house where they install laminate floor. Every morning, we open the door for the installer. We have the installer work at the new house by themselves and lock all windows and doors at the end of each day. At the end of third day, we notice there are missing boxes, which include our personal lap top, monitor and crystals. I called the installer; he said he did leave the house unlocked for lunch daily. We reached out to Lowe’s seeking for support. However; the store manager said the problem is between us, the installer and the police. Apparently, Lowes will continue use the installer. If it’s not Lowes signed the installer to us, we would not have chosen these people to do our project. But Lowe’s takes no consideration in their customers’ loss and stepped away when things went wrong. We filed police report and the whole thing is very frustrating and disappointing. "

NIGHTMARE AS USUAL!!

"As usual a nightmare!! Nearly every interaction with Lowe’s turns into a pain in the ****. It really **** that we are forced to use them as they are the only large hardware store in town. Home Depot is more than 30 minutes away-the drive is feeling shorter every time I visit Lowe’s. As I have renovated my father’s home over the last several months I have spent thousands at Lowe’s on roofing, composite decking, plumbing, wiring, appliances, etc.
Today I went in to pick up some insulation and a miter box table. When I got up to the cash register to pay the bloodshot, glazed over, half open, “Stoned” look of my cashier Chad at the ProDesk checkout should have told me there would be problems yet again. Dad ran his card to pay but when he went to sign the stylus would not work. Chad stood there for nearly two minutes with a blank look on his face before saying “Oh that was just fixed try your finger”. Nope that did not work either. Now thoroughly confused our Stoned out buddy Chad was really stymied. Again standing around for several minutes completely unaware of what to do the cashier directly across from him evidently saw the look of Chad’s last brain cell burning out and came over to try and help him. He suggested Chad call the ‘Head Cashier’ as and my aged father growing increasingly frustrated about technology he was ready to just walk away but we couldn’t as the transaction could not even be closed out. Finally after several more minutes Adele sauntered up and her first words were “Not again” then proceeded to give my father a hard time for not understanding why the transaction could not simply be cancelled and we could leave.
Adele said we had to wait for the transaction to ‘Time out’ so several more minutes passed as we waited. Dad’s leg, in a brace, was starting to get very sore and he was getting very wobbly. My dad was unable to sign so the transaction should never have gone through but sure enough it did so after timing out we wasted more time for Adele to process a refund. I HATE THIS LOWE’S location. The employees have proven over and over they are ill trained, uninformed about the products they sell, and often even where they are located in the store. I will be praying a real home improvement store comes to Port Orchard.
