"I purchased pendant lighting from Lowes.com. My credit card was charged for the purchase and I received an email stating the order had shipped. NOT TRUE!! I never received the order and for the last 7 days I have been trying to get a refund, but they have not yet refunded my money. The only answer I get when I call customer service is that someone will call you about a refund in 3-5 business days!! Seriously? Who does business like that? DO NOT ORDER from Lowes.com. If something goes wrong, you are stuck!"
"Ordered 30 solar lights from their website, and was shipped one piece.
Called Lowes and they told me that the 30 pack was an error, and theres nothing we can do for you.
If you want, you can take it back to a lowes store....I will."
"Lowe's in Mt. Vernon has the best staff I have ever experienced.
They know where everything is located from Garden Center to Lumber.
And directs you to the Isle your product is located.."
"I purchased a fridge from Lowes on Sat. the 17th and they called me at 7:30AM the next day to schedule a time to deliver! So I ordered on a Sat. afternoon and had my fridge installed and the old one hauled away on Sunday! It blew my mind that not only did they bring it on a Sunday but the speed as well.
The installers were extremely friendly and couldn't be happier with my experience. I saved over $300 from Home Depots price, and they would've have taken over a week to special order it. After a terrible experience at Home Depot I since canceled my Home Depot card, opened a Lowes account, and plan on using them exclusively from now on even though they're further away."
"Beyond awful website that would not check out and than loses the items in my cart. I called to place order and it took about 20 minutes, the worst customer service and website I have ever experienced. They also refused to give me my 5% discount using their credit card because I had a discount code. I think I will stick to Home Depot in the future!"
"I ordered online on 4/16/14 from the Millington, Tn Lowes some fencing, 2 hours later they call and state "they ain't got those" (fencing panels they mean). I ask well what store does, she states she doesn't know I'll have to call around. I ask if they do not have a computer system that can see other stores stock, she says hold on and yells to another person to look this up. I then call the store that has them and ask if the delivery to me, I was told "no, you will have to call the Millington store they are closer to you". I explain they don't have them, they lady states "well we probably don't even have them, let me check" they do so she ask when I want them, I say next week if I can and she says "oh, ok, yeah we can, I thought you would want them this week and we have been backed up in delivery for a minute". So I order them online and wait 5 days, no one calls to set a delivery date and time. I call and they say they can do if the next morning between 8-12, 11:30am the next morning they call and state they do not come to my area until 4pm, 4pm comes and goes, 6:15 the driver calls and says he is on the way, 7pm he is there. I called the customer service number and asked for a refund on my delivery charge and they told me they would send it to the store for review. You mean the store that screwed up my whole day? Yeah I'm sure they will get right on that and call me being so sorry, NOT!"
"Received a "Ready for pickup" notification for an in-store pickup online order and then (already half-way there) they call to say that they do not have it!
Not a way to do business - and they lost mine. "
"Worse online shopping experience ever... Extremely slow, unresponsive, and prone to all types of errors and discrepancies in your order. I spent hours filling out a basket with items only to have every disappear in front ot my eyes: was about to fulfill the order, website was extremely, unresponsive and freezing; then all of a sudden all my basket was empty and I lost all the time spent selecting and adding items. Lowes really needs to hire more IT personnel, plus IT personnel with more expertise if they want to continue to exist. "
"Nothing but the run around. They had a mixer on sale and it said they had 2 in stock. When I went to pick up my order they didn't have them. I called customer service who said there was a mixup."
"WARNING DO NOT USE LOWE'S INSTALLATION SERVICE!!
0 STARS!!! had to give them 1(required, and product itself was good)
As an installer they have no idea what they are doing, or what needs to be done. It will end up costing you hundreds of dollars in added expense, as it did me. NOT JUST A FEW DOLLARS BUT $800 EXTRA because of where it was placed.
I wanted to place my generator in one location ( I do have some construction back-ground and common sense. something I found Lowe's lacks) and was told and basically pressured that it should go in another area to save money and was the least expensive best recommended place to install. Plus best place for electrical work to be done. Turned-out it would not had made any difference on the electrical install where I had originally wanted it put. LOWE'S AFTERWARD STATED THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR RECOMMENDATION.
It turned out , I had to hire a sub contractor to hook-up generator. Fine no problem, this was the known procedure. Sub contractor contacted Lowe's on needed information on generator to write estimate. LOWE's STATED AFTERWARD THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECT INFORMATION ON THE PRODUCT THEY SELL ! Lowe's did not inform them of all steps that required by law to be done. The result = the generator was installed where Lowe's recommended for best cost and installation. Because Lowe's had no idea what was involved as primary installer the gas sub contractor was unable to give a proper estimate. LOWE'S FAULT not sub-contractor, they were going on what Lowe's provided.
Lowe's afterward, when I found out about added cost of work which was almost completed and Lowe's stated stated that I should not have had generator gas hooked up . The problem with that was It would have been another several months (already a month after purchase) into the next year at the earliest to complete with a major storm getting ready to start. Plus large concrete pad, tamper-proof generator installation, and electric and most of gas hook-up was already completed. Generator had to be paid for in full early Nov. before Lowe's would even start.
I also had to keep contacting Lowe's about the extra cost , because Lowe's kept forgetting to get back with me. You felt that they felt if you were ignored enough you would drop the matter.
YES I FEEL THAT LOWE'S IS RESPONSIBLE AND I WAS RIPPED-OFF BY LOWE'S.
NO WAY CAN I RECOMMEND LOWE'S INSTALL FOR ANYTHING PLUS NO LONGER ABLE TO BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT LOWE'S STATES OR RECOMMEND
Would you recommend this to a friend? No"
"I recently ordered a stove & microwave from Lowes after first ordering from Plesser's and having delay upon delay. So I cancelled Plessers, and ordered from Lowes. They said 11 days before delivery, but that was OK since I had already waited over a month for the Plesser's order that never arrived. Surprise of surprises, Lowe's delivered almost a full week ahead of schedule, arrived at my house when they said they would, unpacked the appliances and there was no damage. And this was at an amazing price - a full 25% off retail, and they let me apply an additional 10% off coupon online. Overall it was a great experience with Lowes and I'm thrilled with the Samsung appliances."
"OMG, horrible. Worst online shopping experience ever.
I tried to order a washing machine and parts online using my Lowes credit card. After struggling to get my information in (if you mess something up on the form, they clear all fields and you have to retype everything) the order went through. Almost. The accessories took, but an error was reported for the dishwasher. It was just a generic error, no indication of why the order didn't take. I called customer service. They were unable to help in any way except to take the order over the phone. The representative didn't even seem to try to listen to my problem. So I try placing the order and it doesn't take. The representative doesn't know why either.
Since the dishwasher wouldn't take, I no longer needed the accessories, but customer service was unable to cancel the order.
OK, I figure I'll just order the dishwasher later, so it'll be good to have the accessories on hand anyway. I get a call saying it is scheduled to be delivered by Lowes truck between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. They never came. So I still have the charge on my card, but no product.
Oh wait, there is more. There is also now an additional $16 charge to my credit card. I don't know what this is. My best guess is a shipping fee which I never approved, and the website claimed free delivery, even with the dishwasher not being approved for whatever reason. Looks like I'll have fun fighting with Lowes about this.
Also, there was never any order confirmation email. I checked both inbox and spam folders, but nothing.

"Ordered a product from Lowes.com to ship to store because they don't stock it in their store. They told me it would arrive 7 days after ordering it. So 7 days after the order I go online to check the status on Lowes.com, it says 'READY FOR PICKUP'. I go to the store to pick it up, and they say its not there, and its going to be another 2 days before it arrives. This is unacceptable. I will not be ordering from Lowes.com to pickup in store anymore.
**UPDATE**
So they said it would be another 2 days before the item arrived (the guy in the store supposedly checked a tracking number on the computer). It ended up taking another 4 days for the item to arrive. "
"Lowes.com orders that I paid for were never delivered--Lowe's CSR responded to my email that I should contact local police and after I asked again about undelivered orders they responded, and I quote: "If the police need to speak with us directly, they're more than welcome to contact the corporate office for further assistance. The number is 1-***-***-****. You may want to speak with your bank to dispute the charges for this order and continue to work with your local police force to get this problem taken care of.". What a joke--Lowes get your act straight and take responsibility for the orders that I paid for and were never delivered to me. "
"I've called Lowe's and ordered a few things, which has gotten me a much better price. BUT, that's where the good ends because then I have to deal with our local store.
Don't get me wrong, there are a few people at our store that are super friendly and helpful. Some, not so much.
Otherwise, I ordered a riding lawn mower via phone, which ended up being delivered with a flat tire and missing key.
I ordered spray foam insulation for under our house and that was a mess. I called and called they said it was there, so I drove to town (20 or so miles each way), but they didn't have it, a few days later I called again and again....anyway it was a mess.
Against better judgement I just ordered a microwave because I saved a few bucks.....They didn't call, I guess they were just going to send it back? I don't know.... The box was tore up and then brown packing tape used to hold it together. It took them quite awhile to find it for me.
Otherwise, I really hate that when looking online the prices are cheaper at other lowe's stores than ours. It really irks me....oh well. Too back they are the only store like this within 90 or so miles? I think it is..."
