"After choosing the parts to a barebones PC, I received a lemon. The CPU heatsink that was chosen for the desktop should have never been allowed on that build. It was too big for the case. It was so big, that whoever put it together had to use so much force to fit it, that they had to bend the case cover around the fan to slide it in. The case cover had the rub marks from the fan to prove it. After getting it checked out by a local computer company, the report was that the amount of force that was used to put the build together scratched not only the case and CPU heatsink fan, but also pushed through the thermal material on the heatsink itself and contacted the ACTUAL CPU! Needless to say, I was told that both the montherboard and CPU were shorted out. I threw away $988 in building the computer, and what's worse is that it took more more than $1,200 for another computer maker to build me a new computer. Why would MagicMico allow incompatible parts to be put together? Who built (forcefully) and tested the machine before it was shipped to me? I've been building computers every few years for over 10 years, and I've never had an experience like this. So dissapointed, and I don't know that I'll ever trust MagicMico again. That's sad because I know I'm building a media laptop this year as well. "

We apologize for any inconvenience.

All our systems are checked for any configuration incompatibility. If customer accidentally selected incompatible components we always contact customers to make necessary changes to make sure that system operates within it desired specification. We never bend, force or change component’s physical sate to install them in to the system. We believe that system may got dropped during shipping casing internal components to bent or move out of place. This could cause internal damage to case side panel or motherboard.

All our packages are well packed yet sometimes shipping damage do happen. This is why all our packages are fully insured. Also all our systems come with 30 days money back guaranty. If there is any damage to system components or you simply not satisfied with a purchase you can always contact our office using our 1-800 number or email to make armaments to return or exchange the system. There is no need to seek help from local PC repair shop especially when you purchase is 100% covered by our shipping insurance and 30 days money back policy .

According to FedEX tracking number this item was delivered about a month ago yet we did not receive any communication (phone or email) regarding any problems with this purchased beside this review. FedEX only has 4 weeks form the delivery date file any shipping damage claims. Since it had been almost 4 weeks since package delivery please get back with us at your earliest continence so we can take care of this issue ASAP. "On build your own custom orders, you should call the customer and verify the configuration order before processing to avoid any inadvertent mistakes. I created the build configuration a dozen times to match my needs and pricing. On the last configuration, the one that got built, I forgot to change the basic motherboard from MSI B75-MA-E33 to the one I really wanted which was GA-B75M-D3H. Now, I have to live with it. A cross check would have been helpful. Also, inform the customer about the keyboards or other non-standard shipping before hand so they don't think that they are missing and then need to call you to clarify the order."

"Computer arrived on time and in good condition.
Ordered the computer without a hard drive.
Lost everything on my Hard Drive because the motherboard
drivers were not the same as my old motherboard and the
computer wouldn't boot up but that's not Magic Micro's fault.
After reformatting and doing a clean install of the operating system everything seemed to work okay.
I am up an running now.

I would reccomend Magic Micro to a friend.

"The major problem I have with Magic Micro is their Warranty agreement. My $5000 computer I bought from them broke down and when I had sent it back to get it repaired, I had to pay for shipping. I disagree with costumers paying to ship back a computer to get it repaired. I believe Magic Micro should automatically order you a shipping label(preferably with fedex) to send back their own products for repair along with the RMA #. I have bought tons of items online and had to send at least 30% of them back and the companies automatically issued me a shipping label for the products I had to return. I strongly recommend that Magic Micro change its policies on warranty and guarantees its costumers a shipping label for returned items"

"This was my second purchase of a bare bones PC from MagicMicro. I went with this company because I was very happy with the last purchase I made with them. I am equally as pleased this time around. The system was put together well. The power supply wiring was neat and tidy. The box was packaged well. It was a box inside another box and packed with popcorn foam. The only issue was that the DVD drive that came with it was not the same model I ordered but a comparable one. Really, as long as the specs are the same it doesn't matter much unless you really have a problem with a specific brand. I have no problem with the swap. Their terms mention issues like this can arise depending on compatibility and availability. I will probably order from this company again."

" I purchased a computer from MagicMicro.com. I liked the option to choose my own parts and have them build it for me. I spent almost $1,400 with them for my computer. It took almost two weeks to arrive (I think this was due to the Thanksgiving holiday).

When I received the computer there were no detectable drives found. After hiring a computer tech to come out and look at the computer, he found that the SATA cable was not even plugged into the SSD and the HDD connection was loose. I assumed that the HDD connection to the motherboard was most likely shaken loose during transport, but the SATA cable took some force to plug in so I knew that there was no way that it had come loose during transport. MagicMicro had forgotten to plug it in.

I had some OS issues and called MagicMicro technical support for help and explained what had happened with the SATA cable as well. The man I spoke to said that they were not responsible for what happened to the computer while in transport. He acted like my questions were bothering him and I felt he might fall asleep on the other end of the phone. He was uninterested and couldn't get off of the phone quick enough. I am in the customer service field and his attitude was very unprofessional and he offered me NO solution to my problem. I ended up having to figure everything out on my own.

I guess spending $1,400 with a company isn't good enough for some quality service anymore. I am happy with my computer after I had to fork out more money to get it running the way it was supposed to out of the box, but their tech support and customer service people need to step it up.
