"I want to warn future buyers to stay away from Merimobiles. Their company is terrible. I took a gamble and bought a tablet from Merimobile because I wanted a cheap tablet. To think that they have been operating for quite some time that they would work on their customer service.
My story: I bought a "HYUNDAI Hold X700 YaZhi Version Dual Core 7 inch IPS 1024*600 with Android 4.1 8GB 1.6GHz HDMI" from Merimobile on March 22, 2013. A couple days later they email me stating that they ran out of the 8gb but have the 16gb available for an additional $10. So, I went ahead and paid the additional cost for the 16gb. 3 weeks later I receive my tablet. Upon opening it I found to my disappointment that it was not a dual camera as stated on their website. I contact them about my concern. After a couple email exchange (they on average take 3 days to respond!) and picture taken of product Merimobiles admit that they posted misleading information on the tablet and they were willing to give me $10 credit for any future product or a refund.
I told them that I don't mind keeping the tablet if they give me $20 credit for a tablet with dual camera. After 3 days of waiting they agree and I gave them the new tablet that I wanted. Then they stated to give them 24hrs to get final approval before the transaction. So, I waited and waited and waited. After the 5th day I gave up and email them that I just want my refund. 4 DAYS LATER!, they respond with the form to return their product.
I proceed to fill out the form and package the tablet to return. Their site state that they will refund up to $25 for return product if its their fault. I was worried that mailing their product back without tracking might get lost. Tracking to Chine was over $40. They assure me that it would be safe. So, I mailed it regular mail. I finally mailed it out on May 21, 2013.
2 weeks past without words from Merimobiles if they got the product back so I emailed them. They emailed me back that they did not received it yet. I waited another week to emailed them again. Again they said they did not received it yet. Another week, emailed and same response. After 7 weeks from when I mailed out the tablet did they finally stated that it arrived but said that it will talk with manager about my refund.
On July 20, 2013 I finally got my refund for my tablet but they did not refund me for the shipping cost. Plus, they sent it as payment so Paypal deducted a fee from it. I emailed them back about the problem and they will give me the difference of what Paypal taken from. They had the audacity to inform me I will not be getting my refund for the shipping cost because I mailed back their product past the 1 month window.
I was livid! I emailed them back about how it was their fault that I did not get the right tablet as advertise and that it was their fault that I could not mailed it back in time because of their horrible customer service and responding to email. They then told me to email someone else about my refund on shipping cost. The other person I emailed wanted me to give them the information of my case. How can a company still be active if they cannot communicate with each other about their customer problem. So, I stated my case for my refund and fees. That person emailed me back that they need copies of shipping receipt, Paypal transactions #, and fees taken with "Please reply fast so that we can get this resovled asap". I respond with all the information within 2 hours. 3 days later and still no response. I emailed with "Hello?! You told me to "reply fast so that you can get this resolved asap". It has been 3 days! Your company cannot even respond in a timely manner to get anything resolve right. I am still waiting on my refund." They said they email me and that they still cannot find the transaction #. The even wrote "I expect you replying in a timely manner not 2 days later, I would like to get this resolved asap". Throughout my email exchange with Merimobiles I had respond within 24 hours. They on the other hand are worst than snail mail. After dozens of email spanning over several weeks with 7 separate representatives (Crystal, Janey, John, Jerlyn, Jacqueline, Carlo, and Jay) I finally receive all my refund on July 29, 2013.
In conclusion, do yourself a favor and do not shop at Merimobiles. If you have to shop for an affordable tablet from a Chinese company buy it from another website. There are a few out there. A couple of days after I got my refund I bought 2 tablets from another site and their customer service were great. Even after one of their product went out of stock and replacing with a different one they decided to upgrade my shipping to DHL because of the delay it cause me. Our email exchange were fast and polite and they try to fix their problem the best way they can.
I hope my experience would help other and hopefully my post would open their eyes. Cheap tablets can only get you so far. Customer service retain loyal customers.

"I purchased a Pipo M8 Pro 3G tablet from Merimobiles. Packaging was OK, shipping was slow from China (I am in Australia) but free. There was no damage in transit.
- The tablet wifi was not working. Merimobiles technical support suggested that I update to the latest firmware, this did not improve the wifi. The fault was most definitely due to hardware as the M8 Pro is well known for its good wifi performance.
I had some anxiety about their shipping policy since it reads as if wifi faults are not considered for their 30 day return policy. However Ace of tech-help contacted management and was allowed to issue a return order (RMA) for my tablet.
The RMA email somehow got lost which caused me even more anxiety, but everything was solved in the end thanks to the friendly tech-help.
Merimobiles are therefore willing to support wifi issues when they are caused by hardware faults. They say that they will try to revise their policy wording to make things better for both the customers and themselves. They are a very responsive and friendly crowd.
My M8 Pro tablet is fixed. It now has a very satisfactory wifi performance. I find it an amazing tablet overall.
If you are looking for a superior tablet at a very competitive price, I would recommend both the pipo M8 Pro and Merimobiles .

I want to bring this in your knowledge the experience i got after making my order at this scam website MeriMobiles.com .
On 2nd August, 2013 i have made an order #54677 for the phone iNEW i6000 2G/ 32G White color here is the link ( http://www.merimobiles.com/inew-i6000-mtk6589t-1-5ghz-quad-core-6-5-inch-with-android-4-2-1-full-hd-1920-1080-32gb-rom-wcdma-gsm-3g-smartphone_p/meri7581.htm ).
Before making my order i chatted in online chat on their website www.merimobiles.com . And in online chat they confirmed me that this phone is available in their stock. They confirmed me two times. I made my order and paid USD $367.90 for this phone. The phone had to deliver to me on 8th August as i have also chosen DHL Shipping.
On 4th August, 2013 i got an email from the company that the phone is not in their stock. It was a big disappointment for me because i made this order after their confirmation. So i asked them when it would be available? And next day they replied me it will take time.
I had only two options is either cancel my order immediately or choose any other phone to close this deal. So i visited their website and seen this phone UMI X2 2g/32g ( http://www.merimobiles.com/umi-x2-android4-2-mt6589t-1-5ghz-quad-core-dual-sim-5-inch-full-hd-1080p_p/meri7334.htm ).
Next day they replied me that this phone is also not in their stock. So same moment i cancelled my order and asked them to refund my full payment immediately to my Paypal account.
Besides this to cross check i went to their website and chatted online to enquire this phone availability that they told me is not in their stock. And as expected in online chat they confirmed me three times that this phone is in their stock.
So it was absolutely very clear that this company is misleading their customers to make order of such products they have not in their stock since long. And after payment customers find himself in such a situation is to choose unwanted other products from their store or waits for weeks and months.
Merimobiles.com is working as scam website, phishing website and misleading peoples to make orders of the products they don't have.
I cancelled my order on 6th August and told them to refund my full amount immediately.
On 7th August they mailed me that they need 72 hours to process my refund. 72 HOURS FOR REFUND through Paypal? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Paypal takes minutes or you can say seconds to process they payment. Anyhow I gave them 72 hours and they had to make the payment before 10th August. But Merimobiles.com hadn't paid me until 12th August when i went to Paypal website and opened a Dispute at Paypal Resolution Center.
And surprisingly minutes after i opened the dispute at paypal they replied to me in mail and also in few minutes they refunded my whole amount. Thanks to PAYPAL but Shame on Merimobiles.com you were waiting for this?
Three times i warned merimobiles.com that i am serious do not take me lightly. But you delayed me by emails and wasted my 10 days. I will post this experience everywhere. And also will bring this into the notice of PAYPAL, MONEY BOOKERS, ICANN, CHINA CYBER CRIME. Because you guys need a good lessons for the CHEAP practicing, the cheap ways you are cheating peoples.
There are no NEGATIVE marking on this website else i will give this company rank in negative numbers.

"I did a lot of checking and double checking before placing my order for a Pipo M8Pro tablet from Merimobiles (I'm London based). No reseller was without their dramas so if I wanted to buy the tablet I had to take a plunge. What made the decision easy in the end was the speed of response from Merimobiles from my initial enquiry email - I sent the same message to 3 resellers and Merimobiles responded the next day answering all my questions.
I received the product 9 days later but it had a fault. Taking into account the time difference I didn't expect immediate responses but they responded within 24 hours suggesting things to try to remedy the problem. In the end they sent me an RMA number and I agreed to a refund. I have since ordered another M8Pro from them and received that in 7 days and it works like a dream.
I have to say although disappointed the original device didn't work properly I am completely satisfied with the level of service offered by Merimobiles and I would recommend them fully. Special mention to Ace for adding a personal touch with his/her customer service !!"

Tablet had a lot of Chinese content installed but was able to be removed & customised to suit your personal needs. The System has reset itself once not sure why. Unit responds very well when used & the processing speed & graphics have handled everything it has been asked to do. Battery life seems to be reasonable about 6 to 7 hours depending on games played. Back camera is fair quality but front could have been the same as the back one in mega pixels. Unit is very good ebook reader except for the battery life but if you wanted a ebook reader only then buy an ebook reader. The unit really has proven to be a good all round tablet and would recommend it to others.
