"Good price, good customer service.
I originally placed the order online, filled out all the required info, and clicked away to the confirmation screen only to get a server error. I waited until I could call during normal business hours the following day because I hadn't gotten a confirmation email. Customer service was easy to contact and friendly. The situation was resolved, and I reordered from the website.
When placing the order again, the price had been changed on the website from the previous day (and compared to Pricewatch). I made the note in the comments box and was charged the correct price for the video card and was given the free shipping also listed on Pricewatch.
I would order from Mirco Pro again. Although I had a simple problem, it was rectified quickly and accurately. Even better, I recieved an email later in the evening saying the product had been shipped with the tracking number and all. I had called around 4pm in the afternoon and wasn't expecting to see it shipped until the following day, but they made the extra effort to keep the customer pleased. I was definately impressed."
"I ordered a custom AMD 2400 system and was quoted to get my system on a certain date. The system was done two days ahead of schedule. The system runs great and I am very happy with the price and quality."
"I ordered a new video card asking that I be contected if the card was not in stock. (I have a job to do and need the card for 3D rendering). I selected 2nd Day Air delivery. I placed my oder on thursday night just after midnight. Expecting to see my card on Saturday (Monday 2/03/2003 at the latest). Since I heard nothing, I assumed that the company could take care of this simple transaction. It is Monday night. I called MicroPro at 5:30PM EST and talked to Ray. He was honest and professional. He told me that they were out of stock, to which I replyed, "Why didn't you contact me when my order explicitly asks you to do so if it is not in stock?" He looked and said that they made a mistake and apologised for his companies malpractice. Then asked if I would like to wait a little longer for the card or cancel my order. I asked him to cancel the order, and he said, "No problem, sorry for the inconvenience." Ray did a fine job, the company missed the mark terribly. I would NOT recommend MicroPro to anyone who needs customer satisfaction.
In my book, integrity (If you do what you say you will do.) speaks louder than words. I required one simple email. They failed on this one simple task. One must wonder if any reseller really cares about customer satisfaction these days...

Called and spoke to Scott Yesterday. He said that the paperwork that Ray took care of was not completed properly. He also said that the website showed that they were out of stock. So I called him out on this outright lie! I simply informed him that their website NEVER showed that they were out of stock and that I had been tracking this the whole time. To wit he replied, "Well we have been expecting a shipment any day now." This is exactly as I expect when a "business" (and I use this term loosly) left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Anyway, They had "no record of my canellation". So they took my money, I still have no card, and they still don't have one in stock! So, They sold me vaporware!! I got nothing but a bad taste in my mouth from MicroPro.
In Short - This company SUCKS! I will never buy from them again! I think that the best thing anyone could do is boycot 2 bit companies like this and put them out of the "business" of ripping consumers off."
"I had very good service when I had to replace an ATI video card, and then had to return it (and the orig. one I bought). My only complaint is really not their fault: I hade to call ATI's tech support 4 times during the time I was trying to get the card to work. When I got my phone bill, these calls were billed to me at $1.00 per min. beacuse they were 'international' call (ATI's in Canada). "Heh, these guys rock. They are the first company that shipped me combo with CPU and FAN already installed.
All the previous ones shipped them as separate pieces and with new P4 gigantic fans its somewhat of a pain to deal with all the therma pasta and all. Considering the fact that I change my CPU (and in most cases motherboard) every 3-4 months or so www.pricewatch is my prime destination. This is the first company I'm really satisfied with

"I can't complain about anything yet. Bought a XfX GeForce 4 that so far has totally opened up a new world of graphics to me. I'll see how it goes, but so far so good. The only catch, is if you want the better prices, you have to find them on pricewatch. Otherwise, it's not that good of a deal. Shipping was also good. I knew exactly when it was shipped and when it would get here (UPS ground) which was a little under a week from date shipped, including weekend. But it was very convienent, because it arrived the same day as a the computer I bought from BCD2000.com arrived. Talk about timing. So perhaps things are going too good right now. We'll see. For now, I'm happy :)"
"Have negative purchasing experience with MicroPro. Purchased a computer system, including 19" monitor, with 1-year warranty. After half a year monitor has died. Now can't find any way to repair or return the monitor. MicroPro Customer Service is not of any help."

"I ordered a last minute christmas gift thursday night consisting of a set of Klipsch Promedia speakers. They were listed as in stock so I chose 2nd day delivery to make sure they got here on time. I checked the shipping status online Sunday but said the order was still being processed. I called to check monday morning and the sales rep explained their order was late and the product just arrived. I explained it was a christmas gift and asked what he could do for me. He said he would ship it out next day delivery. I just checked the status and fedex has it on the way. I will recieve it tomorrow morning in time for christmas. The customer service representative was very knowledgeable, pleasant and courteous. He had the situation under control and resolved within minutes. I respect this establishment for following thru on what they told me and getting my order out right away in the middle of the christmas rush. "sunday: placed order
monday: phoned customer service monday afternoon to verify everything was going okay only to be informed that 'the processing department is backed up' and thus unable to look at my order at all. i was told this in mid-afternoon, and there were still several hours left in the work day.
tusday: phoned service again. this time i was told that 'my order was not printed' and had to be resubmitted. service rep sternly warned me about billing/shipping address mismatch (which is on file with my bank). i received an email around lunchtime saying my cc failed authorization, i told them to call again and check the memo field (other vendors do this by default). my order went through then, but since it was 'almost 3pm pst' my order could not be shipped that day.
i cancelled the order and went with googlegear. i checked resellerratings before placing the order to see if it was worth giving them a shot to save $5, and it clearly wasn't.
i attempted to email service to cancel the order (ccing the rep that i had been working with) and i got delay notifications from my mailserver because a dns lookup on their domain was failing, so i had to phone it in."
"In the past I have fallen victim to poor mail order houses and luckily have discovered ResellerRatings.
I done my homework and ordered a large capacity hard drive and told the sales person that I was willing to pay just a few dollars more for the same drive because of their rating on ResellerRatings. As promised, I told her I would provide feedback for others researching a mail order seller.
This transaction was one of the easiest ever. I would recommend anyone to purchase products from them. When they say they have product in stock and it will ship within 24 hours of the order, they mean it.
This is the Christmas season and usually pretty stressful. But ordering from Micro Pro relieved any stress this week while wondering if I would get the hard drive and when.
If you truly want the best mail order shopping experience, buy from Micro Pro. They are excellent. I will buy from them again and even suggest them to my employer."
