"I ordered some mags and wasn't happy. I asked for a military/law enforcement discount and was told I had to have my C.O write a letter. For $1.50 discount? I passed and ordered it. It took over 10 days to receive the item. They are a small company that drop ships. "

"Ordered a CZ82 and the experince was okay. Notifications could have been better. And they could improve the processing time. But I recieved my package in the time the website said I would. However this is the first placed I've purchased from that did not send a traking number for firearms. They said it was illagal... I don't by that. I've bought from several online firearm retailers and they gave me a tracking number. Not the best experince I've ever had with a online company but I know what to expect and would probably purchase from them again."

"I made the mistake of ordering from this company before reading the reviews. My experience has been the same as those who rated the company's shipping very poor. I placed my order by telephone because I wanted to make certain my item was in stock. I was assured it was. It has now been a week and the item has yet to ship. Same excuse as stated in the other low ratings, the item is in a warehouse in another State. I too suspect that they order the item from a supplier AFTER the customer places the order. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!"

"I have read the bad reviews, but took a chance on Midwest Hunter's Outlet. I bought a Penn fishing reel and Okuma rod and they were significantly cheaper than any other store. I was not in a hurry and patiently waited for my items to arrive. Everything arrived within two weeks and saved me a lot of money. If you expect your items to take a week and a half to ship, you can save a lot of money."

"I placed my order for 2 crab traps ($70each)and rope($9) on 5-2-2011. They had by far the cheapest price. Afterwards I read a lot of negative reviews and was worried it would not go well. I received confirmation by email right away of the order but everytime I checked the status of order it did not change. 4 days later I sent an email asking when will product ship and got a response right away but it just said I should receive product in 5-7 days. On 5-9-2011 7 days from order date I received shipping confirmation by FedEx with a tracking number. I felt better knowing something had shipped. Only problem is they shipped via home delivery and I used by business address so when they tried to deliver on Saturday the 14th the office was closed. So I would have received items in less than two weeks from Greenbay to California. Not bad. 2 days before I leave on a crabbing trip. Only complaint is that even now after I have the traps when I check on my order status it is blank in the ship date. I would consider ordering again with caution and would allow plenty of lead time. If you need it in a hurry then you might want to pay a little more for the piece of mind."

"Buyer be warned! This is not a company that I will do business with again. The shipping and return policy is unacceptable. I was poorly advised on a product and tried to return it they charged me the restocking fee and were unable to guarantee that I received the replacement within two weeks. Nor were they helpful in finding a good solution. This means that will not revive the products in time for my trip. I spoke the manager and his manager and they were unhelpful but courteous. This is not a company that cares about it’s clients."

"I have not yet received my order. I ordered 7 days ago and it still says "order confirmed/processing" on their site. I assume I will receive the lures that I ordered eventually, but in today's market this would be considered a very slow shipping time. I have ordered lots of things online and gotten what I ordered in 4 days or less without paying extra for expedited shipping. I am not sure why they are so slow, but this will greatly reduce the chances that I will ever order from them again."

"Having read several unhappy reviews related to out-of-stock issues, I attempted to place an order with Midwest Hunter's Outlet by telephone at ***-***-****. They have a long voice menu, but it didn't matter what I chose - all choices lead to hold music - I could never talk to anyone in 6 attempts over an hour and a half in the late morning on a tuesday in May.
My overall impression is that Midwest Hunter's Supply is presently unstaffed. The order-taking site automatically forwards customer orders to fulfillment centers, and some fraction go through without a hitch, but there is no one to intervene when something goes wrong. The most common problem seems to be when the fullfilment center is closing out an item at an attractive price and the inventory status at Midwest Hunter's Outlet is stale, the order drops into a black hole, paid for but it can't be placed at a fulfillment center that no longer stocks the item.
I will avoid Midwest Hunter's Outlet / TGSCOM, and suggest others do likewise.

"I posted this on another site I had looked at as well prior to making my purchase through MHO. I found a too good to be true price for a Winchester Model 70 and after reading numerous negative posts, I was very skeptical. It seemed that most problems were with "backordered" items, so I called to confirm that it was in stock and took the additional precaution of creating a virtual credit card number (I think only Bank of America does this) and placing the order by phone. Two weeks later, I have the rifle, I inspected it at my local gun shop and everything is fine. Based on others' experiences I'll still take precautions should I wish to make a purchase from them in the future, but felt compelled to note that my experience was fine. The only thing I could have really wished was different was for faster processing, and that they don't send the tracking number."

"STAY AWAY FROM Midwest Hunter's Outlet / TGSCOM, Inc!!

I wanted to order an item from them and when I saw their $4.99 flat shipping no matter what you order, I found 2 other things I'd buy. BIG MISTAKE. Although they say they have everything in stock, they actually stock very little. 10 days after my order I got one item (slow, but not ridiculous). Another 15 days passed and there was no sign of my other items. That's nearly a month. When you email or call, they tell you stories about how these items had to be fetched out of their "storage facility" in one state and trucked to their shipping facility in another state. I guess in my case, they thought I would believe that it took them more than 25 days to move two items.

This place is a joke. They were not rude to me like others claimed, but they lie like crazy.

"Ordered a Kahr P380 and they came through as advertised. Best price I could find online and over $20 less than my local gun dealer not including tax. It took about 7-10 days but that is what they said. I would not hesitate to order again!"

"I'm writing this because contrary to what the reviews on this website stated, I decided to take the chance and risk a negative experience with Midwest Hunters Hunter's Outlet. I just couldn't resist the price of their Arsenal Side-folding stock for the AK variants. My order would have cost $170 from K-var(great company still), but it was less than $140 from MHO. I even called ahead to stress my worries about shipping and returns and I was treated with finesse. My order arrived 4 DAYS AFTER I PLACED IT! Perfect condition! Thanks MHO!"

"Horrible. Send 3 emails over the course of two weeks, and eventually had to call them just to get them to tell me the order I placed for 'in stock' items were actually out of stock, and they gave me a timeline of two weeks to two months. Add to that the customer service rep was extremely rude, and got agitated with me when I wanted to cancel my order.

Avoid like the plague.

"Midwest Hunter's Outlet / TGSCOM website said the item I ordered was in stock. I called them up prior to ordering to confirm and was told, "Yes, it is in stock".

I called 7 business days after to inquire why it hasn't shipped to be told, "It's in stock, we're getting it out of our storage facility".

Does, "Getting it out of the Storage Facility" mean they don't have any inventory and place orders with the manufacturer once an order is placed?

Update: Received shipping confirmation 9 days after order.
