28Dec06 I had to pay to send the unit back
7Jan07 I asked about the status of my order
9Jan07 They blew off my order and refunded me my money
This is a BOGUS modchip store! They do not keep you informed. They try to sell you stuff you didn't order. When you call them on their mistake, they bail out. You get left with the return shipping cost. Stay away from this company. I'm warning you"
"After placing my order for 2 M3 DS Simplys, I could not be happier with this store. When I placed my order, they were having some PHP problems on their site so I was a little worried. They were the only site around that said they had them in stock.
I got the confirmation email right away that night and the next day a tracking number from DHL. Placed the order Thursday night and got both units Monday afternoon, all for the standard ground shipping charge. Can't do much better than that!
I would HIGHLY recommend both ModChipStore and the M3 DS Simply!!!"
"This is my second order from this site, and will probably be my last. Ordered a wiikey with the wire and solder kit and the triwing screwdriver. The so called "wire and solder kit" was nothing more than a ridiculous string of solder, which doesn't even work for a precision job like this one since it's huge. No wires came with it. As to the screwdriver, the one i got was huge, so it didn't fit in the screws. Tried filing it but that didn't work. So basically, i was robbed about $13 for useless/bad stuff. I don't even know if the chip is fine yet, since i haven't been able to open the wii. I hope it's not an RMA because from what i've heard, their costumer support is crap."
"this is ridiculous, i waited and waited for them to send me my product, and the reason why it is taking so long- out of stock. I'm okay with that, because i know the next batch should come in soon. but then when the website announces that the product is in stock i was happy. i figure it wouldn't be long before it comes, WRONG!
then i waited 2 more days for a tracking number and finally sumbited a "ticket"
then finally they responded. "we are out of the m3 lite. would you like to cancel this order?

of course, the other product which i had order is now out of stock, it wasn't before. but it is now.
so what dose that tell me?
1. they had it in stock and sold it to someone esle because i'm waiting on the other product to come.
2. their website is not up to date.
3. they lied to me just so they can have my business.
4. they are incompetent in running a smooth business.
another thing is that THEIR IS NO CONTACT NUMBER!!! it's exhausting that a customer has to call in order to straighten out things, but it's even worst when you have to contact by email and wait 2 or more days for a response.
never again will i order form modchipstore.com. in fact right after this i am canceling my order and deleting my profile. i never want to do business with them again, and i would advise you to do the same."
"Update: Been over 2 1/2 months and they send me an email saying my order has been declined. Nothing about ever getting my PSP sent back to me. I hold fast to my previous rating and, if I could, I would rate them lower. Dont send them your consoles. Doubt you will every get it back. Run away from this store and don't look back.

Here is my story:
Well, I had been reading reviews about how great modchipstore.com was and how they got everything to everybody. So I thought that buying from them would be a great idea and, stupidly, I decided to start out big. A UP Mod Chip for my PSP with a 2gb memory card with pro install. $320 or so value. MISTAKE. I sent it on December 9, 2006 and it ARRIVED in Dallas TX on the 14th. I got word of this on an email. They said that there would be a 5 day turnaround for the install and, in my case, an extra 1-5 days because it was backordered. I thought that that would be fine. I may not get it back by xmas but I thought I was going to get it back. Well now its what, January 23th??? Yep, its been around a month and a half and I havent gotten it back. I emailed them the first time about 2 weeks ago asking where my PSP was and do you know what their response was?? "The more tickets people put in, the slower we are able to respond to people." What does that mean!?!? Does that have anything to do with my PSP??? Well I emailed them back again about 5 days ago and they still havent responded to that. I cant judge if the quality of their items are good YET but I can tell you that if u want something on time or if you want it AT ALL, dont buy from modchipstore.com"

I was also shipped the wrong item. The only form of contact they have is via email with slow response time.
When they did finally respond I was told that I would have to pay to ship the item back to them. I had further questions like:
1) How will I charge them for my shipping fees? Do I send them the bill?
2) Would I have to wait for the RMA to go through for me to get the item I paid overnight shipping for? Defeats the purpose of overnight shipping.
I have yet to hear a response to these further questions despite repeated emails. Ironic since each email response from Modchipstore ends with "feel free to ask if you have further questions""
"I ordered a DS-X from ModChipStore.com and despite lengthy manufacturer delays, the company was incredibly efficient in shipping once they received the stock; the product was correctly labeled so I incurred no customs charges here in the UK. Customer support was among the best I've ever seen, there were daily updates on the DS-X forum by a company representative (Jarrett) who responded to queries personally and very quickly; support tickets were responded to daily, as well. I would definitely order from ModChipStore again."
"I ordered an M3 Simply from this store and was satisfied for the time being. However, when the item was shipped to me, it wasn't the M3 Simply that was sent to me, but rather a Transcend 1gb MicroSD card.
Annoyingly enough, the Transcend card in question isn't even listed on their website. Therefore, my conclusion was, how could this have happened?
I submitted a ticket through their website (they lack any form of email or phone support), yet have failed to receive an answer for nearly 5 days. I marked the message with the tag, "critical," yet apparently I could have marked it with "low priority" and nothing would have changed.
I'm wondering if some form of proof of mis-shipment is necessary to convince their support to actually reply to me. In any way, after eagerly expecting my item for nearly 2 weeks, this has all been a very great disappointment. I'm hoping that modchipstore will rectify this situation, but lack of communication is really killing the process.

"I've placed an order with this company, and I will never order from them again. This company claims the item, was on backorder, when I 1st placed the order, their website said it was in stock. Then I talked to an online rep and he said the order since it was backordered, it would ship put on the 15th of December. USPS Priority Mail, well the order did not come. It's been almost a month, and nothing showed. I've emailed them countless of times, but they said wait for it, it might have got lost in the mail. This company claims they also shipped it without a delivery confirmation number. I'm so disappointed with this company. They also have no phone number to reached them. After 10 emails, they finally refunded me."
