The shipping process was painless and quick.
There was a slight issue with the speakers but a Monarch rep called me up immediately after I sent in a comment and resolved the issue professionally and courteously on the spot! Given that the whole order was just 9 bucks shipped, I was totally surprised at their willingness to help.
I also ordered a logitech mx1000 mouse from them (super cheap for a top of the line mouse). Shipping was quick and painless, once again.

Had built three systems from barebones for
Family and friends and have been looking for a
store that made me feel confident in their
company. Resellers.com allowed me to bounce
around and look at several possible but their
listing of Monarch computer systems as trusted
and highly ranked company located in
Georgia, USA and decided to give them a try:
Ordered a barebone system on Friday 15 April.
Received a confirmation in the time it took to
shut my browser and reopen to home page. The
confirmation was also the invoice. Shortly
another email to serve as a receipt, and a
notice that I would receive another with
shipping information. I know that any good
company would consider that to be enough until
your order goes out the door, not Monarch
included in the final confirmation of my order
included all the stores policies, shipping over
view returns info tech support hours and a good
amount of additional information and all this
was on the 15th the day I made the order. They
even allow around 12hrs or business day
depending on the purchase to make a change to
your order without penalty. Monday the 18th at
9:08a.m. received an email informing me my
barebones had passed testing. Later that day at
7:10p.m. notified my order had shipped and
Wednesday the 20th at 1p.m. a knock at my door
announced the arrival by FedEx. The polite and
simple policy of keeping the customer in the
loop through the whole process right up to
tracking information (as well as the quality of
the products offered) has cemented me as a
loyal customer.

"My order was very late getting to me. I anticipated some delay because when I placed the order (3/17/05), their website said the OCZ PC-3200 Platinum Revision 2 memory was on back order with an expected fill date of 3/21. On 3/21 the website page said "In Stock" but I didn't see anything different on my order. I waited two more days and still didn't see anything different on my order status so on 3/23, I sent an e-mail inquiry. I got a reply the same day apologizing for the delay due to the OCZ memory but that my shipping would be upgraded and I would receive it the next day 3/24 (Thursday). I didn't actually receive it until the next Monday 3/28, 11 days after I placed my order! The products I received were all packaged just fine and all functioned ok. Update: After posting my experience here, I was immediately contacted by multiple Monarch representatives to see how they could help rectify the situation. I feel satisfied with my experience shopping with them now. It's nice to see that level of personal customer service in this age of "faceless" internet shopping. I will definitely consider them for future purchases."
"I comparison shop all the time and the prices were surprisingly low. Ordering was fast and easy. I bought a motherboard/processor combo. I didn't have to worry about buying incompatible parts, but at the same time I didn't have to buy low-end items. Everything got to me on time and in good condition since they did a good job packaging the items I bought (packaging can mean all the difference when sending packages via UPS, FedEX, ect.) I am very pleased and I will most certainly use Monarch Computer Systems again the next time I upgrade my computer!"
"I'm sorry I did not find this rating service before buying from Monarch Computer. I ordered a system on 3-28-05, was charged that day. Did not get the system until 4-14-05. It worked for approximately 5 hours. When I tried to start it up on 4-16-05, it would not boot and has not booted again since then.
There is no technical support on weekends and even though they say their forums are monitored after business hours, they do not respond to postings.
Now, after reading several Monarch forum postings and reviews on resellerratings.com, I know I made a big mistake buying a computer from Monarch. I am dreading the nightmare of having to return this system and get my money back. My next phone call is to my credit card company to dispute the charge.
Do yourself a favor and find another place to purchase a computer.
UPDATE 4-30-2005
Shortly after writing this review (but before it was published) I was contacting by Monarch Computer. I was called at home on a weekend as a result of postings on their own forum. I was put in touch with 24 hour tech support (a service I did not purchase). After several hours of discussion and troubleshooting it was decided that the problem was not a component that could easily be replaced.
Tech support and others (Benjamin, Sterling, Chuck) arranged for the system to be picked up, overnighted back. It was determined the MB was faulty. It was replaced, tested again and returned to me overnight.
My experience is upgraded to very satisfied. The folks at Monarch put out an extra effort to resolve the issue. Issue resolved and system working just fine.

"I've had a rather interesting experience with Monarch, that goes from lows to high. In short getting several problems to the attention of a manager was much more difficult then need be, however, once that manager was made aware of the problems, I could not have asked for a more reasonable solution to the situation.
I'm still torqued about what happened, but everything was well resolved above and beyond my expectations. I got personal attention on a weekend, and that speaks volumes about a company to me. "
"I am building my first computer....and I thru my extensive research on mother boards and memory I cam accross this store....I could have ordered on line but I had furthur questions on boards processors....memory ....vidio cards ....well lots of questions....lol...so I called Monarch..and as luck would have it ....I was hooked up with David....he spent an hour and a half with me on my first purchase with them answering all of my questions that a first time builder would have...he helped me in making just the right choice..I bought a combo , board and processor from them , it arrived ahead of schedule , I could track it all the way from Georgia to here....California...the day after I got the package Dave took the time to call me to see if everything was ok and if I had any questions.....he went the extra mile to reasure me in my choices....this has sold me on Monarch...they are the best and I am telling everyone here about them....since then I have bought my software...and memory from them....they carry the top of the line stuff ....this has been a very good first experience for me ....thanks Monarch and thanks David"
