"I made an inquiry on the model number of a PSD since the website wasn’t clear (only a picture of a PD6F and the #PD6F in small print at the bottom of the page) and received an e-mail response from Douglas A. Hare. He stated that the PSD was a CompactDrive PD6F and would be in stock in a week. A week later I ordered it through their website only to find that the shipment was delayed another week. I finally received the PSD which was a lesser model #PD6A. It was packaged in a bubble wrap and I am amazed that it survived shipping. I sent two e-mails through their web site using their online Support Form asking for exchange/return information. Neither of my inquiries got a response, so I tried their toll free and tolled telephone numbers and didn’t get an answer at either. I have just realized that I have gotten ripped off for the first time. I was deceived into making a purchase and since then they have changed the part number to PD6A on their web site. Funny how they responded to my questions before the sale and can’t seem to muster an answer when they know they shipped the wrong item.
Good riddance MyDiscountDigital.com and I hope the dispute I’m registering with my credit card company goes through. It’s people like you that give online purchasing a bad rap.

MDD, Matt Dawson and Douglas Hare did what they had to do to rectify this situation. Contactability is still a little on the slow side, but eventually everything worked out and I would like to rescind my original opinion. I would recommend doing business with MDD and personally will do just that in the future.

"I purchsed a 20 gig Picturepad and the wrong adapter card on May 13th. Everything was shipped quickly, but when I realized I had the wrong adapter, I called them, got through on the first try, figured out what I needed to replace the wrong card, and received an RMA number to ship back the incorrect card. After at least a month, I checked the status of my return on their web site, and it said pending approval. After a couple of weeks of it saying that, I e-mailed them and received no response. I called them, got through again, and spoke with someone that said it would be taken care of by that afternoon. After two more weeks, my transaction still said pending approval. I called again, and spoke with someone that said they had no record of ever receiving my return. I explained to him that two weeks prior, one of their employees told me everything would be taken care of. He begrudgingly said they would go ahead with the refund, and two weeks later, my account still says "Pending Refund". I created a "case" on their website, but just like their e-mails, nothing has been done with it. I have been trying to call all morning, but no one is answering.
I find it interesting that so many people complain about the e-mail, yet nothing is done about it. It is also interesting that in several of the complaints, excuses are made by MDD, and the customer is made out to be the bad guy. I agree with several other postings that their products, prices, and shipping rates are pretty good, but their customer service and return policies/procedures need a great deal of work."
"I ordered 2 different types of batteries for digital cameras. Received one ok while the other was not the ordered one (probably a mistake during shipping). Agreed with support to send it back to receive the correct one. After a long wait they replied that type of battery was no longer available and the money would have been refunded. I found out that they only answer their phones between 9:00am and 4:30pm Eastern Time. But this information is not posted on their web site. There is no answering machine or voicemail of any kind. I consider this to be very customer unfriendly!
When I placed the order for two BP-511 batteries, the item was shown in stock. When it became out of stock, they should have emailed me about the problem and offered me a chance to cancel the order. When I sent them an email initially to find out the warranty period of the product, it took nine days to get a reply. That really does not make me feel comfortable of doing business with them.
The placesI do business with, such Canoga Camera or B&H, answer their phones or emails and post their business hours on their web site. The major online stores such as newegg.com, amazon.com and buy.com would notify me by email if anything I ordered is suddenly out of stock. I am sorry but MyDigitalDiscount.com has some catching up to do to earn my business and top rating in my book.

Called this morning and got busy signals on both their toll free and toll numbers. On the 4th try, I got through and talked to someone. They think the batteries will be shipped out this Sunday from overseas and might reach me by the end of next week. They were not sure if the shipment date was final so I cancelled the order. I may try them again in the future but not this time.
They only answer their phones between 9am and 4:30pm Eastern Time but that is not stated on their web site. There is no answering machine or voicemail of any kind. I consider this to be quite a sub-standard business practice!

Based on the excellent reviews, on 7/6/04 I placed the order for two Canon BP-511 equivelent batteries. Nine days later, the order is in the "Pending Fulfillment" state. Why?
Calling them at ***-***-**** got no answer after more than 10 rings. Repeatd 6 times and got the same results.
On 7/06/04 I emailed them and asked about the warranty period for the batteries. The reply came today, 9 days later.
Is MyDigitalDiscount.com having some kind of trouble?
