"On the recommendation of a friend, I ordered a 1GB Ridata 80X card from Mydigitaldiscount.com.Their prices were good, the shipping a bit high, but right on time. When it arrived I tried the card in my new Olympus 8080 and it didn't work. They were fine about the return and helped me work out a way to get the new one before I left on my trip, by shipping out another one as soon as I sent them a tracking number on the return. They even paid $5.50 of the shipping and I added the $2 to get it sent by 2-day air. It arrived right on time. They were very helpful as they knew it was a frustrating situation for me. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely order from them again."

"Best price I could find for Nex IA+ MP3 player. Ordered, had the confirmation and tracking number in hand quickly. Received the product on time. In the UPS shipping envelope the A/C adapter was in an unmarked white box separate from the Nex player. It was a European 220v adapter instead of the 110v adapter.
I used the support center online to file this complaint the same day. Two days later with the support case not-yet-started, I called the support 800 number, after a 5-10 minute hold time, the support rep told me the correct adapter would be shipped out the next business day.
Now I have the A/C adapter, the player works GREAT! I will do business with MyDigitalDiscount again but if I have future issues I will call first.
The support case online is still shown as 'not started' even though now it has been taken care of."

I got emails during every step of the order and it has been a great transaction. I would recommend them and will buy from them any chance I get. "I bought a SanDisk 1GB Ultra Compact Flash on 12/5 from Mydigitaldiscount. It was shipped promptly out. The card was a dud. I received a RMA number 858. Which I sent back to the address (185 East Seneca Street Oswego, NY 13126) on the RMA notice . This was on the 12/13. I sent the defective flash back via regular mail. Mydig is claiming they have not received this yet. Prior to or about the same time I ordered they moved their business to a different location.I was told that the mail perhaps was not forwarded correctly to their new address. Right now I'm out $100 dollars with nothing to show. This all could be just foul up in the mail but its not been a good experience; bad card; missing return item;
When this is rectified I will update this rating but until then I have to give this store poor mark.

MyDig has given me a credit and is resending out a new card. For that they now can be bumped up in rating from my earlier comments.

I didn't receive the replacement card. I contacted MDD and they said the Ultra II was backordered and wanted to know if I wanted to cancel the order. I said "yes" and please credit my CC back the original amount on the purchase for 12/6. They have yet to do it! What a long weird hassle it has been with this company. I have done business with them in the past but I doubt I would in the future. I will give them until Monday to see the credit on my CC.

"I'm an amateur photographer, and purchased a Vosonics X-Drive and 40GB hard drive from Mydigitaldiscount.com. Tested it ONCE at home, and seems to work fine, but out in the field, on international travel to South Africa, I immediately got device errors when trying to use the unit. Upon return and sending the drive to a data recovery service, it was determined that the hard drive was physically defective. Matt's response from mydigitaldiscount.com was that he was simply the reseller, and if the drive was bad, that I had to take it back to the manufacturer itself. They would not refund my cost for the hard drive (I didn't even bother to bring up the $1300 estimate for data recovery from their bad hard drive), and would only accept a refund on the working X-Drive unit with a 15% restocking fee, and wouldn't pay for the shipping. The customer service is terrible, and I wouldn't recommend anyone use this company for the purchase of merchandise, as the risk of bad merchandise and their attitude towards responsibility for it outweighs any cost savings. I won't gamble with them again."

This is the 3rd time I have ordered from MDD over a period of about 1 year and every time the service has been first class. I ordered some Transcend 4GB SDs and they arrived in the UK 3 working days later. Unfortunately they didn't work in my camera so I had to return them. I rang MDD and RMA was instantly supplied, I said I wanted Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SDs instead and sent the 4GB SDs back on 22nd (Thursday). They reached MDD USA on Tuesday 27th and MDD sent off the replacement 2GB SDs on 28th. They arrived here in the UK today Thursday 29th. The service was excellent thoroughout, the staff were genuinely helpful and pleasant to deal with, the delivery throughout was top notch. They are the BEST US company I have ever bought from. I can't fault MDD. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

UPDATED NEWS: Matt Dawson contacted asking us copy of our delivery confirmation, which we already sent him last May. Although we sent him another copy a second time, he replied that the firm address was not correct (?). We suppose that this could be due to the low resolution of the copy. Immediately we sent him an high resolution copy of the delivery confirmation with the person's signature who got the parcel back. I am still waiting for an answer and this operation took me 8 months only for a purchase :-((( A NEVERENDING STORY ?
