"I had some initial issues with ordering from NCIX and contacted customer service to try and resolve the issues. Management informed me that the items I ordered were actually out of stock, but they went out of their way to help me get the order completed. Thanks to management at NCIX, I was able to get the parts I needed! They stood behind their promise to deliver and got the items to me in a timely manner. I will be back for more PC parts in the near future!"

"I'm astonished with the 2 stars rating, they are by far the best Canadian computer parts retailers. I've ordered for close to 2000$ at that store.

I recommend NCIX.com to all my friends, peers at work and family hands down. Wide selection of hardware, lots of promotions, pricematching(one stop-shop), fast shipping, the best price I have seen as far as computer parts goes, ability to check their inventory in real-time(so if you live by Toronto you can check they have it in the warehouse and get it the next day). The list goes on.

I also want to say I'm extremely pleased with everything I've ordered so far, the overall business practice and did I say the very good pricing of NCIX?

Also on the service side:
The very fast processing time of the shipments.
The e-mail process and passing of information.
The accuracy of the order.
The quality of the packaging.
The ability to edit/cancel your order even after entering your Credit card number and everything(before the payment gets processed).

However there is a few things you need to verify before buying:
#1: Make sure the thing you order will work and that is what you need e.g. ordering a Intel motherboard when you want to put a AMD processor in it, or wrong socket etc.

#2 Take the time to read their policy / return / options available this will save you a lot of frustration if you have a defective product. KEEP THE BOX AND THE PACKAGING.

#3 Understand their business is time sensitive: One day a component can be 100$ the next day 50$, A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL TRY TO RETURN PRODUCTS and think they can save money. Do your research, if a product as been on the market for a while, prices are bound to dip. They are not stupid.

"DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!
This is a horrible company. I purchased a projector that turned out not to work. Trying to send it back I send a request for a RMA that was never answered. After a week I had to call, waiting on hold for 45 minutes. A RMA number was issued, then I got an email that I need to provide images. So I did, despite the fact that there was no request in the RMA email. Then I waited for an answer. Actually I am still waiting. Also I have to pay for shipping for the faulty projector. Now I have to call again, waisting another hour on the phone. I will never buy from this company again and would advise anyone to stay away from them.

"I'm super shocked to see such a poor rating for NCIX on this site. I've been shopping here for all my computer products for over five years now. I have probably around a dozen orders now, and have never had a problem. I've always been amazed at how fast everything has shipped. Most times, even with standard ground shipping, it's at my doorstep within 2-3 days. They have a great price match system, knowledgeable staff and quick service. I really hope that the poor reviews here aren't based off of one bad experience out of many good ones. Thanks NCIX for the years of great service!"

"Took my money, now won't reply.
I "bought" a pair of headphones and got an email confirming the order and telling me to wait until I got another email telling me when I could go and pick up the headphones ... it's been nearly a month and I have had no reply to an email asking for information.
If I knew service was this crappy I would have bought the headphones elsewhere and would already be enjoying them. The lower prices don't mean a thing if they can't complete orders.
Is this a scam?

"First and LAST purchase. Bought 2 MSI AMD R9 290. Paid for them after calling them to confirm they had them. Was told warehouse would get them in 2-3 days. After I paid I was promised NO ONE ELSE could reserve them or buy them. Because I had PAID for them they were mine. Called the next day and they called the warehouse. The warehouse said when they get them I would BE THE FIRST to get mine. Well guess what, the next day when I called in...THEY SOLD THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE! Now I have to wait WEEKS for a MAYBE they will get them back in."

"I am a long time customer from NCIX and I sincerely do not understand the low rating. I have had bad experiences with almost all online services once or twice, not yet with NCIX but I know it can happen. These online businesses try hard to satisfy their customers but sometimes, its impossible, often because customers not being reasonable (the client is always right, yeah...).

Their price match feature is awesome, it always worked for me and their shipping/customer service is very good, so I do not question and order from them. But if they refuse a price match in the future, its OK, its their right, I'll buy elsewhere that time!

"First time I did business with NCIX and also the last time unless they have an unbelievable deal.

Summary:
Ordered Ram and a Mobo requesting a price match for the mobo. Price match was denied because I had used a first-time customer coupon. I e-mailed them explaining to them that I could have easily separated the order (Order 1: Ram + Coupon; Order 2: Mobo + price match) with the only difference being that this would have been more expensive for NCIX as they would have had to send out two shipments (both products individually qualified for free shipping so that separation of the orders would have cost me the same). They replied with a generic reply essentially saying nothing. In fact, their reply did not address any of the points that I had made in my e-mail whatsoever.

This gets us to aforementioned first-time customer coupon, which qualifies me to receive a 20 dollar gift card. It is 12/24/2013 today (31 days from my order date) and I still do not have the gift card. In fact, I e-mailed them twice about it, and instead of concretely saying what and when what will happen they just give me the run-around. In their last e-mail (12/17/2013; 24 days after my original order) they literally say:

'Thank you for contacting us, it looks like we have added the $20 gift card to your order. Please note due to the holiday rush the system is delay in sending those gift card codes out via email. Please allow 7-10 business days for updates.'

It is hard for me to believe that it takes the 'system' more than a month to generate a gift card code and send it out via e-mail to a customer.

Anyways, first and last time unless they have an incredible deal. Otherwise I will happily pay more money just to avoid having to deal with this kind of incompetence. It looks like NCIX do no grasp the importance of providing good service in a very competitive environment. If NCIX were a publically traded company I would happily short their stock

"TL,DR: This company is the worst in history. If you have a second option, don't ever bother ordering anything from NCIX.

Full story: I ordered a ducky keyboard on cyber monday, and it was not until 5 days later did I get an email saying my order would not process (they said the shipping address needs to match the address of my credit card, there is no second company that I know ever requires that). I replied the email on the same day, and then it took them 3 more days to respond. When I finally agreed on shipping to the address on my credit card (Dec. 10), this was their exact response:


Thank you for contacting NCIX!
I went ahead and notified my manager for you. My processing manager is going to verify and process your order. Once your order is processed we will send you and up-to-date invoice. If there is anything wrong with the order we will notify you as soon as possible. Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day!

I checked my order status everyday, and it says the order is processed, but never shipped. I finally called on Dec. 17 and they said it was out of stock. I had no choice but to cancel my order. This company can't even keep their promise of notifying me when the order can't be shipped. They even billed my credit card and took my money.

The way they do business and handle their customers is completely outrageous. They basically treat their customers like s****. I will never purchase anything from them ever again and will advise against anyone who wants to purchase anything from them.

"As a long time customer of NCIX I believe the current rating (6.7 out of 10) is not a fair representation of the business.

I have been a member of their of their forums for over 4 years and a customer for even longer and I have never had a issue that was not resolved efficiently and with an extreme amount of professionalism on behalf of the staff.

Granted, a certain amount of patience is due during peak times but that shouldn't come as a surprise (or a burden) to any thinking person.

Overall I would not hesitate to recommend NCIX to a friend (having often done so) or using NCIX to meet my personal and business needs.

"I bought an HP laptop at NCIX and discovered (within 1 hour) that its screen has problems. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my wife. To my surprise, I was refused to exchange the laptop and was given no realistic options to fix the problem. I am very disappointed as a customer and I start thinking that there is lack of understanding the value of a Christmas gift at NCIX."

"I am overall happy with the customer service of ncix i preordered a ps4 the week before it was launched when that option wasn't even available on any other website (fair enough it was rather late in the game) and yes it took 30 days for it to arrive but its still not available on many other sites and the delay was more than understandable i cant comment on other items as this was my first order with them but i will say this, i will be using them again , their online customer support is very good at keeping you informed and up to date so a little patience paid off and i am more than pleased with the results "

"Out of the 6 retailers I used during Black Friday and Cyber Monday this was the only one that stood out, in a bad way. The longest it took for the other 5 retailers (from order to my door) was 4 days. It has been 10 days since my payment was processed and NCIX still has yet to even ship my item. Their staff has told me several times through email that my order has already been shipped and that they would reply again shortly with the tracking number. The emails with the tracking number never came. I contact them again the next day and get a different staff member. This person tells me my order wasn't actually shipped and hasn't even been packaged yet. The next day I contact them again to try and figure out what is going on. They tell me my order has already been shipped and that they just sent me an email with my tracking number. They never sent the email, again. Still waiting on my tracking number and order to be shipped. I don't think I can say that I've had a more negative retail experience than this. They won't let me know what is going on even though I've asked a dozen times to be told why my order is taking so long to be shipped."
