"On June 11, I placed on online order on NWV Direct website for a (Repair Master A-RMT52500 5-Year In-Home Television Warranty Service Plan (Non-Plasma)). My order number is 154199. I paid, via my credit card, $142.60 for this item.
On June 12, I received a bait and switch call from a sales rep of NWV Direct, Maurice Roberts. After asking me some general questions regarding my purchase, he informed me that there are no service centers in my area to service any future warranty repair needs I might have. I found this incredulous. He went on to try to upgrade me to a different warranty which he offered to me at a discounted cost of $199.
I asked that he send me this offer in the email, and he did so. I then called Repair Master to verify that there is no warranty repair center in my area. They informed me that there actually is one very close to me, and they provided the name of the business to me. They also suggested that whoever called me was just trying to upgrade the sale to a product that would provide them a higher commission. So, I called NWV Direct customer service line and found myself speaking to the same fellow again (Maurice?). I told him I had contacted Repair Master and they confirmed for me there is a repair facility in my town. I told him I just wanted what I had originally ordered online.
He became very confrontational and told me that he did not want to do business with me and would cancel my order. I reiterated to him that I did not want the higher priced warranty he tried to switch me to, I wanted what I had ordered. He refused, told me my credit card would not be billed, and hung up on me.
In conclusion, I was baited to NWV Direct site by a great price on a warranty that I wanted and bought, their rep called me and tried to switch me to a more expensive product using unethical methods, I confirmed that he provided inaccurate information regarding the useful validity of the product I wished to purchase, and when confronted, he refused to process my order.
These actions represent, in my opinion, highly unethical business practices. I have filed a complaint with the NY office of the Better Business Bureau and with the NY Office of the Attorney General, Internet Bureau.

"Prompt shipping and excellent service. I ordered a quick charger for my video camera batteries (SONY NP-FH70). I received it today and the packaging indicated that charger was for SONY NP-FP50, FP70 & FP90. I sent e-mail requesting RMA for return. Within 15 min I had received response indicating that the charger would handle the FH70 battery and that I should try it. I was assured in the response that there would be no penalty on a return for opening the sealed packaging. The charger worked and I am a much happier person not having to return the item. "

I had ordered a Lens Adapter from the largest camera store in Seattle and after 2 months they could not get the adapter I needed and suggested I shop online. I GOOGLED the Canon Adapter numbers and found your business and ordered they adapter. I also wrote If the adapter was not available Please e-mail or call me. Thanks to a saleman he e-mailed me and ask me to call, I did and found the adapter was unavailable due to a problem with the desigh and wanted to know if would be willing to wait. I called and talked with the salesman and he suggested a different manufactured of the lens adapter. Great ! I received the new adapter on Saturday May 17, put in on my camera and it worked perfect. "After ordering a lens advertised on their web site, I was contacted by telephone and informed that that it was out-of-stock but that a superior lens was available at a substantially greater cost. I agreed to purchase the product, but, upon arrival, I found that it did not meet my needs. I clicked on the "returns and refunds" link on their web site and provided the information necessary to obtain instructions on how to return the lens and receive a refund. Two days later I received an e-mail from them that merely stated that yes, it was true that the problem with the lens that I had was inherent when used with my model of camera. Then, the e-mail informed me that there was nothing wrong with the lens itself. However, I was provided with absolutely no information about how I could get a refund. I'm getting nervous! "
