"Ordered extra camera batteries and a battery charger for a sony camera.
My experience mirrors that of others. Next day I have a phone message from Mark the customer rep, and an email to contact NWV Direct. I call. They do not have the items in stock, and will not for 4-5 weeks minimum. (Mind you these are not rare or unique items).
They inform me they will be refunding my paypal payment immediately until the items arrive, and something said quickly about an invitation, then the customer rep Mark hangs up. They have not yet refunded the payment.
Be very careful with this company. I'll be patient a day or two longer then I'll file a complaint with paypal.

Received another voice message from another NWV Direct customer service rep, Charlie, after posting the review above. He wanted clarification of the problem and indicated that the items were ready to ship.
In return, I left him a voice mail repeating the experience above.
He left a message that the items were shipping and he had upgraded the order to compensate for my trouble.
Items arrived promptly (48 hours after the second call). Everything was as ordered plus the upgraded item. No explanation of where the 4-5 weeks minimum backorder had come from.
Received a follow-up message the day of delivery. Asking if everything was satisfactory, and would I mind changing my review.
Problems were handled promptly after I posted review, and the order ultimately arrived within a week. Not sure why the confusion occurred initially.

I blundered into New World Video on-line and send them a "Help!Help" message, then left to teach my yearbook class. When I returned an hour later there was an E-mail from Charlie saying, "Call me." I did. I explained. He listened. He knew exactly what I needed and his expertise calmed my fears a little. "Purchased a Canon Lens from NWV Direct since they were the cheapest price. After waiting, received email that item was backordered and not sure when they will receive new stock. Should have canceled the order, but speaking to the customer service rep, he recommended a Olympus Lens instead. I decided that they were going to give me a good deal, but after several weeks of trying to get the lens to work, I noticed that the price was almost $100 more than everywhere else. My fault, will never buy from them. BAIT and switch. Try doing a goggle search with this company and see the same bait and switch. It almost seems like any positive reviewers is fake or didn't do a price compare. Not for sure, but it looks that way."
"I received a call stating the battery charger I had ordered was backordered due to a defect. I was offered an upgrade that was made by the same supllier of the OEM part for an additional cost, which I took. This was Monday. Today is tuesday, I have the order in hand already and have used the charger in the car. The product was better than described and got to me LIGHTNING fast.
