"I first bought a bed foundation from Novosbed in Canada and then a memory foam mattress (Sonata). The review will be in 2 parts because my opinion differs about both items. First I must say that the orders were shipped faster than anything I ever ordered online. I had both items the day after ordering. Customer service was excellent and a step above most companies I have ordered online from. The foundation was easy to assemble thanks to a simple and well laid out guide. Two things I didn't like right from the start: Some of the nails used to assemble the pieces of wood were protruding through it and could easily rip an expensive bed cover. I put a dab of hot melt glue on them and the problem was solved. One of the planks of wood was not quite dry (had some spruce sap still on it). Also, some of the planks have some small cracks in them. This is common with spruce and I don't think this will be a problem long term but who knows ? Using a hard wood essence would have been a better idea but at a cost. All in all, the foundation provides adequate support and is cheap. It just doesn't equal their superior quality mattresses. Speaking about the mattress, it came in well packed in a compact and heavy box. After laying it on the foundation, it started expanding and took a few hours to be completely ready. It looks very luxurious with a great looking cover on it. It does have a strong odor at first but that only bothered me the first night. After a few days, I could no longer detect an odor. It's comfortable and very thick but I wasn't expecting this level of firmness. It's more firm than medium-firm to me. That's perfectly all right but if you were sleeping on something very cushy before, be prepared for a serious change. I've noticed I sleep better with practically no soreness at all in my back and knees which I used to experience with my old foam mattress. (I have a herniated disk). It took me a while to get used to it but I really like it now and would buy from Novosbed again. One more thing I'd like to mention: Their site is clear and makes the buying decision easier. One look at their competitors sites and you quickly come back to theirs. The possibility to chat live with quality representatives is also a very nice touch. So my official rating is 3 stars for the foundation and 5 for the mattress."

"I was skeptical about ordering a bed on-line for delivery and did a lot of research before hand. Novosbed had great reviews so I decided to order on-line however everytime I tried to check-out I got an error message and finally ended up calling them. As it would happen, my bank refused to process the payment (because they are in Canada maybe?) and I almost did not go further to avoid a potential hassle. Instead, I called their help-desk and they were wonderful (I still had to call my bank). Long story short.... bed arrived as promised, was easier to assemble than I was expecting. No heat or gassing issues. Very pleased."

"The Sonata mattress was the mattress I ordered, It was shipped the same day I ordered it. It arrived the next day.

Even though the FedEx ground driver was to weak to move the box from his truck to my door, leaving me the only option of picking it up from the FedEx warehouse, I am thoroughly happy with my purchase. Easily the best mattress I have ever bought. The free pillows were somewhat unimpressive but hay.. I paid for the mattress, not the pillows.

The online real-time chat with customer service was a bonus, and extremely helpful. Folks, you won't be disappointed with this mattress if you are looking for a medium firm QUALITY mattress... and you will pay a boatload less.

"I purchased the Novosbed Harmony Queen and I am completely satisified with it, Excellent bed. It was delivered to my door, It was easy to get in the house with a cart as it was uniquely packaged. I wondered how they got it all in there, I found out when I opened the box, removed the plastic wrap and the mattress expanded to full size. It was cool just to watch it unfold. "I was hesitant to switch to a memory foam mattress, since we have slept on springs our entire lives. However, my husband spent hours researching different types and found that they rated the highest overall. We did not want to pay the high cost for some of the popular brands. Again, after hours of research he found novosbed. About 4-5 days after ordering it, it showed up at our home. We followed the instructions and it was quickly set up. I no longer wake with back and hip pain, and I can sleep thru the night. In addition it is quiet and I barely feel my husband when he moves in bed. "Hands down, Novosbed has amazing customer service.

I was looking for an inexpensive memory foam mattress, only found one at a decent price, though that was more than I wanted to pay for a mattress that wasn't likely high quality, so when I came across Novosbed, I thought the extra $200 wouldn't be so bad for a much higher quality mattress. After all, the amount of time spent sleeping and the effects that a bad night of sleep can cause outweigh a measly $200. The mattress I got was no bargain basement mattress, but the price was very low compared to similar products on the market.

I participated in an online chat at first, I was concerned about delivery as I am in a 3-story walk up, with only one elderly household member at home to accept delivery. They contacted FedEx, they said they wouldn't do it. They obtained a quote from a private courier which would have cost me an extra $65 (they'd adsorb the portion they would pay for FedEx). They were not satisfied with this and did not want me to pay extra for shipping, so asked me to wait until Monday so they could speak with their contacts at FedEx (as it was the weekend). I was contacted on Monday and was told the free delivery via FedEx will not be an issue, they will bring it up the stairs.

I originally went with the Classic, which was firm. They had asked me if I was sure about my choice as it is quite firm, I confirmed that's what I wanted. Then when I was going to bed, I thought that my mattress was never all that firm, and thought I didn't want to have to do a return because *I* chose the wrong model. E-mailed them and they were able to get to it before it went out, they charged me the upgrade fee for the better model I wanted (no extra charge other than the price difference, also no hassle of refund & full charge again). The mattress (and 2 free pillows) arrived the next day.

All e-mails sent to them (with the exception of the one I sent at night, well past their hours of operation) were responded to within 30 seconds!

Aside from the amazing customer service, the actual mattress is great. I ended up getting the Aria. Let me tell you, I have never slept so great in my life! Furthermore, all of my sheets fit great! I had loads of issues with sheets fitting properly on my old mattress.

I would have zero hesitation referring anyone to NovosBed. The pricing, for what you get is very low and their customer service is beyond amazing. When researching them prior to making the purchase, I had a VERY difficult time finding one negative review, and now I can see why."

"After scouring the internet for reviews of mattresses which would be comfortable and affordable I came upon Novosbed.com. By this point I had decided to purchase a memory foam mattress, just not sure of which one. I spoke with Caitlen at Novosbed about my needs and she was very informative as to which mattress would fit. I purchased the Harmony model Cal-King which is comparable to Tempurpedic's Rhapsody for a third of the price of the Tempurpedic. This is the MOST COMFORTABLE bed I and my wife have ever owned and we have had the Select Comfort and Sleep Comfort beds in the past. We now live in our RV fulltime and RV mattresses are skimpy to say the least. Novosbed would make a bundle selling these at RV shows if they would make RV sized mattresses. With a little DIY knowledge I cut 4 inches off to size the bed to 72x80 so my bedroom slide would close properly and all is well. We would highly reccommend this mattress to any who would like to sleep like a baby again."

"We had bought 2 high quality name brand innerspring type mattresses within the last 7 years. Our hips and lower back and shoulders were really hurting and we were experiencing sleepy arms and hands. We are side sleepers. We went big box shopping and found several mattresses that were all foam and very comfortable, BUT we were NOT impressed with the prices of these big name mattresses. So we came home and after a lot of internet research my hubby found Novosbed. We found some reviews on sleeplikethedead.com and we found that the Aria Novosbed was rated very high and was rated comparable to the name brand mattress that we really liked for a WAY better price. We are pretty skeptical people but after reading several reviews and finding out that there is NO risk in trying one and how their price compared we decided to bite the bullet so to speak and try it. Everything was delivered as promised in a very timely manner. The frame was easy to assemble, the mattress was quick to expand and we were sleeping on our bed the same night. It does take a little time to get used to because it is NOT an innerspring type mattress. Not uncomfortable at all just different. I do also have to say that we also switched pillows because this mattress is NOT like an innerspring. We have had this mattress now for a little over 2 months and I have to say my pain was relieved almost immediately and neither of us is having the sleepy arm issues like before. We sleep better and neither of us have found this mattress to sleep hot at all. I was a little worried about that because I was having that problem on our old mattress. But not once have I woke up too hot on our Novosbed. Initially we did not think that this mattress had the odor issues either, however, about a week in I did take all the bedding off and just let it breath all day as there was a very slight odor my hubby mentioned but after I unmade for the day he has not said another word about it. We love it so much we even bought another one just like it and we will never own another innerspring mattress of any kind."

"First off thanks to all the previous reviewers who helped make my decision easier. Like most, I was reluctant to order a bed off the internet but am so happy I did. Service was wonderful, questions answered right away.

Our mattress was delivered in just a few days, set up was easy. As far as any foam odors, there weren't many. the first day I let the mattress air out. When I went to bed that night any odors were barely noticeable. Took the covers off the mattress on day two and that night there were no odors at all.

The bed is extremely comfortable, has helped me so much with pain from an IT band injury. In my old bed I couldn't lay on my right side because of the injury and had lower back pain. The first morning there was a noticeable difference in how I felt. I have not noticed any sort of problems with the mattress being too warm.

We got an Aria, and am so very happy we did!

"I love my Aria from Novosbed! I had been having VERY bad pain in my shoulders and hips that kept getting worse. I bought all kinds of new pillows (side sleeper)but nothing worked. After over one year of research about what bed would be best for me, I decided to try Novosbed - mostly because I wanted to make sure I wasn't stuck with a bed that did not work for me. (Actually,I was on the verge of ordering something else when I came across information about Novosbed - hadn't heard of them before.) The staff at Novos is outstanding, delivery was delayed because they were out of stock (very worth the wait) but they kept me posted about delivery, and they have followed up with me regarding my satisfaction. We have had our Harmony mattress for about a year now and I couldn’t imagine ever wanting another one. I am always disappointed now when we go to a hotel. This used to be a treat for me, but it is rare to find a hotel with a mattress that is comparable to ours.

We were sure of one thing, we wanted a foam bed with NO springs. When I found the Novosbed website I was impressed with the information I found there.
