"Haven’t really utilized products yet but two comments so far. My Burris scope mount did not have the inserts for adjusting elevation. I see them advertised in their mount now. Hoping to not need but on last same mount I bought, I had to shim scope to be able to zero a Burris scope.
The Firefield laser light appears good and sturdy. Haven’t zeroed it to rifle yet. Only negative comment so far is reference included batteries. I inserted batteries, checked for function and turned off and walked away for a few minutes. When I went to pick back up light it was to hot to hold. I had to use a towel to open flashlight and remove batteries. I am surprised they did not explode because they were so hot. So let light cool down and put in new batteries and light works. Bottom line, be careful of batteries provided by Fairfield."
"Incomplete Order
Telescope is great. Do not order from Optics Planet. Terrible customer service! I received an incomplete order. Telescope missing finder scope. Optics Planet cannot replace the finder scope nor refund the appropriate money so I can buy one. It is an entire refund or nothing. They cannot address specific product questions. They referred me directly to Sky Watcher. Save yourself the trouble and buy from Sky Watcher or a retailer who can properly address any problems.

"On this order, I asked for a cushioned gun stock and Tipton Ultra Gun Vise. The stock came in OK. The gun vise arrived with the packaging in poor condition. It appeared to have been opened and resealed, perhaps it was a returned item. Inside, the parts were loose and not secure, as pictured in the manual. One major part was missing. (I believe this was a returned item not properly inspected prior to re-selling.) Upon my complaint, the sales and service department has been very accommodating, professional and cordial. Ergo, the "mixed" rating. It has been almost a week; I have not yet received the missing part, which is coming directly from Tipton. Optics Planet has offered a refund if I am not satisfied when the completion part arrives."

"They use Fedex Smartpost for shipping. Smartpost is not remotely smart or it wouldn't be so slow. Smartpost ships via Fedex to your hometown then transfers to US Postal Service for delivery. The huge problem is that it usually takes 2-3 days to do the transfer. I wonder how many pennies Optics Planets saves by using this method instead of door to door USPS?"

"First it is free shipping for everything above $49.00 which is great, but sail mail!
I ordered 2 mag's for my 6.5 Grendel which are great by the way, but I added and item that offered 2 day shipping and what do you think happed? If you said sail mail you would be right. The 2 mag's didn't take up anymore space in the box so I could not believe they sent the items sail mail. Very disappointed as most of my orders from Optics Planet offer 2 day shipping.
I could have order the same items from another company shipped them 2 day and saved $5.00, so in the future Optics Planet will by my last place to check pricing instead of the first place.
