"Pro:I found Pc Direct's price to be very competitive. The website was direct and the purchasing was a breeze. I made a mistake when setting up the account, and gave an old email so I had to go back and update the customer information. Worked just fine.
Con: I didn't get the automated emails mentioned on the site. Might have been due to the account setup error on my part, however, the site never updated the status of the order from processing to Shipped and didn't give a shipping tracking number. This lead to me getting nervous and sending a direct email to their offices. On the day of the delivery, I received a professional and courteous email giving me the UPS information. I was then able to confirm delivery for that day.
Athlon XP 3200 rocks in my system. Has been running for several days, and I am satisfied with the order. Had the system worked smoother, I would have have ordered more of the Ahtlon's. The price has since changed, and I have equal or more competive prices available elsewhere.

"I recently ordered a Tower Case from PCDirect.com, and upon receipt discovered it was damaged.

Their response time was a little slow on getting on top of this issue, but the quality of service was excellent, and made up for it. They are sending me a new case, no hassles except for the slight delay in response time. But I also caught them right at the start of a Holiday Weekend, so I suppose I can forgive them this time.

Overall a very good experience, and this was the first order I've had any problems with. The rest have all been excellent.

"i ordered a mouse/kb combo from pcdirect affiliate microtechcomputers.com. i got the equipment on the 5th buisiness day. i did not get a tracking #, and when i attempted to contact them regarding this, got no response. once i got the equipment, i found the keyboard did not work. i asked them to handle the shipping cost back to them, since i don't feel i should have to pay to find out if their product actually works or not. they told me microsoft doesn't pay THEIR shipping when they get defective equipment. it seems to me THEY are taking the responsibility of being a seller to consumers...i simply wanted equipment that worked right. VERY dissapointed overall."

"I ordered a msi k8n neo platinum. Everything went great other than the fact that the sparkle 550w psu i got to go with it wouldn't work with this board. Any other combination of psu/mb would work except these two. Appearently sparkle psus can be picky though."
