"Free delivery on my order.
Arrived in perfect condidtion and was exactly as advertised. "
"I ordered a barebones system, but wanted a different case for it. They were willing to help with this. A couple days later I got a call telling me they didnt have the case I wanted in stock. I emailed them TWICE to cancel the order. Well, guess what gets ship to my door a few days later. And guess who gets stuck with the shipping bill (here & back). They also advertised free shipping over on pricewatch.com, but on my initial order I was charged for shipping. Um false advertising."
"Video card ordered on Mar 16 received on Mar 21 in excellent condition, Will do business again."
"These guys are a decent shop with my dealings so far. I ordered a 19" Flat panel LCD at a great price ($238 shipped) and it came UPS (the shipping was free ground) a few days later. Monitor arrived in great shape, no dead pixels, and plays games as well as my old CRT did. Thanks guys! I will be dealing with them more in the future."
"It is very satisfying doing business with pcdirect.com.once more! I forget how many times I have ordered from them either directly or indirectly, but that is not as important as their quality of service.
So it was something small this time, but they shipped it lightning fast! The item was very well and securely packed in a good size box.
Their Website was very easy to navigate, placing the order was very straightforward, and their prices are competitive as well.

"I bought a mobo from PC Direct online. The board which arrived was *USED* and would not load Windows XP. PC Direct would not refund my return shipping charges, although they would refund my purchase price. When I asked if they would send me a *NEW* replacement instead of a used one, they said their site clearly stated that the board I purchased was refurbished. Upon rechecking their site, I found the condition noted as Recertified. I consider this misleading. Unscrupulous companies use unfamiliar terms to intentionally mislead customers. I do not do business with companies like this. Other companies, like NewEgg for example, clearly state REFURBISHED when appropriate, and don’t try to mislead customers. I know who not to give my business to the next time I need computer parts."
"Bought an MP3 player, it arrived quickly (ordered on a Tuesday it arrived on Thursday) and shipping only cost $3. Was best price around, good deal."
"I ordered an MSI Neo2 Platinum S939 motherboard from PC Direct. The item was listed as an OEM "Bulk Pack," which was limited to the board in an antistatic bag, the I/O shield, and a cd with the drivers/software. Not a problem, since I already have plenty of cables and such lying around. Besides, finding one of these boards is rare these days, and the price was about the same as this model's little brother sells for at other stores (with free shipping as well).
The ordering process went smoothly, and the board arrived swiftly and in excellent shape. I updated the BIOS, dropped in an Opteron 148, adjusted a few settings (overclocked the hell out of it), and I have a faster PC than anyone I personally know for dirt cheap. I couldn't be happier."
"I ordered my Microsoft Black Wireless Optical Desktop Elite Keyboard and Mouse Combo on October 25, 2005. My credit card has been charged, but the order status is still "Processing" up to now. I sent them email to ask for cancelling my order. No any responses. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!"
"The company took my order, my credit card was charged three days after placing the order, but after waiting a week I phoned them to ask why the order still said "processing." They explained that they had oversold the item, and did not know when they might get more. They apologized that they did not phone me to say the item was oversold. They said I could call the next day to see if they were getting more. When I phoned again, they said it was 50:50, they weren't sure. I canceled the order. They said credits on credit cards would be posted on Thursday, two days from my call.
A company should not sell items they do not have in stock, especially when they don't know whether they will get more. Nor should a company charge a credit card before shipping, especially when they have nothing to ship!
EDIT: PC Direct did credit my card the next day. "
"I recently attempted ordering computer parts, specifically a CPU from this merchant. A few days after ordering I received an email telling me that there had been a pricing mistake and my order would not be honored. I can understand that they wouldn't be able to honor the price if it meant taking a huge loss, but the fact that it took several days to receive any sort of cancellation notice is disappointing. I could've had a complete system built by now; now I need to find another procesor and return the motherboard I just purchased. I'm also a little bit bothered by the fact that my CVV2 number was saved on the site. I certainly hope this company didn't use a clever marketing ploy to grab a lot of email addresses to add to their spam list. I seriously doubt that I'll be doing any business with them anytime soon, unless they find some incredible way of making up for this.
EDIT: I appreciate that a response was submitted so quickly by PC Direct. Though I'm still upset about not being able to build my system, I understand that mistakes happen, even to legit retailers. Here's to hoping future transactions work out better."
"Great prices. Easy to navigate website. I'm a return customer who is very satisfied with this company."
"BAIT AND SWITCH STORE!!
Emailed me almost THREE days after placing my order to let me know that they cant honor my order because of a price mistake and that they would contact me at a later date with some kind of offer instead!
NO policy stating anything about misprices but plenty of policies about how most of the time you cant cancel and order because they charge your card immediately! If you refuse shipment (most likely the only way to cancel an order per their policy) you dont get reimbursed for shipping. You only get a partial refund if you return an item with zero or low shipping! If you buy a retail item, they pretty much state that you need to return to manufacturer dont bother them about it because they dont care. READ UP ON THEIR RETURN POLICIES IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME
This store is low budget waste of time!! Prime example of term BAIT AND SWITCH - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! Makes me nervous knowing this low class outfit has my credit card info
Should have stuck with a reputable company like Newegg or ZipZoomFly!!

If you say that "the shipping policy is rarely enforced", can you define "rarely", does the customer have to wonder if he/she is that "rare" person that you are going to enforce your shipping policy on?
You state that the policy is not "black and white" as I make it out to be, but guess what, IT IS IN BLACK AND WHITE in your shipping policies.
If the policy isnt "black and white" and its "rarely enforced", why even have it documented in your policies at all?
Edited on 11-9-2005 to respond to sellers 2nd response below:
Whats there to debate? I'm stating what your policies are that was in black and white on your site! Why do you need the policy for protection if its "rarely" used? How is the policy for "our" protection and yours? Looks more like its there for your protection and yours again.
I realize that human error can occur (more so on your site according to your replies to the negative reviews lately), but why wait 3 full days and leave people up in the air about the status of the order and then notify them that there was a price mistake? (BTW, I place my order the next business day after your so called price mistake - I guess allowing someone to order a price mistake item the day after the mistake was human error too)
Geee, its also funny how your policy has been modified (added a typographical error policy and altered some of the other policies) since I posted this review."
"Horrible Store:
I tried to buy a processor. They said it was a misprint and would not honor.
1. They have no statement on their store about price mistakes.
2. I had to ask to find out there was a problem after my order sat for almost two days.
3. The showed my 3 digit security code from my Credit Crd payment- so their security is VERY bad.
4. They state on their site about how their prices are so great "All of our products are priced extremely competitive and many of our products you will find are irresistibly priced below our competitors." I guess not so great because they won't even honor them. Can you say bait-n-switch.
I will NEVER even visit this store again, I would suggest you stay away. And watch your payment method as they apparently don't mind keeping all your data stored. "
"Bought a DVD drive. The drive turned out to be slightly defective, but I was lazy about getting exchanged because it nearly worked. Just after the 3 months deadline, I decided to go for an exchange. They didn't fuss that I had exceeded the delay, and the replacement arrived a week after I shipped mine back. I was really pleased with the service, and the promptness of the replies when I contacted them by email. Would definately recommend this seller."
