"I had my doubts about this company. I've never heard of them or of Sager computers, but it was the best deal i could find for a laptop that can compete with the Alienware Area 51 and even surpass. I'm stoked that i took a chance because the laptop is awesome. My friends are jealous that my laptop can put their desktops to shame."
"I preordered a Sager 5680 from PCTorque as soon as I found the order page was up. Then returned the Toshiba P25 I had purchased from CostCo because it just didn't quite suite my needs as well as a slow hard drive and substandard video card, I had even bought a special Backpack/Trolley for it and also returned that to Circuit City. I Then waited for the notebook to ship, as it was a pre-order that was about 3 weeks. My credit card was not charged until the unit shipped, and it came double boxed with everything I had ordered. PCTorque has been very good about posting new drivers and updated BIOs, especially the Ctrl/Fn key swap update. So far I am very pleased with the notebook and customer support from PCTorque and Sager."
"Had an extremely great time ordering from pctorque. Very prompt, received e-mails documenting all parts of my order very quickly. Would DEFINITELY deal with them again."
"A fantastic reseller of high-end laptops at prices that blow more mainstream competitors away.
The crew at PCTorque is extremely responsive, fantastic, and cares greatly about the needs of their customers.
I was the first on a waiting list to get a newly released machine but my the machine configuration I specified was wrong-- Adam at PCTorque corrected the problem before I could call and ask him to do so without losing my place in line.
Go with PCTorque and you won't be disappointed. Check out http://www.sagerforums.com for more opinions and information."
"I am a chronic web shopper. It used to be I would drive all over creation to find the very best deal on an item, but with the internet, I save a ton of gas. Having said that, I find that the cheapest dealer isn't always best--in fact, often the opposite is true. Not when it comes to PCTorque. Not only did they come in the least expensive, but from the very first e-mail I sent inquiring about pricing options, I experienced nothing but personalized, thoughtful responses. I must admit that a few of the initial letters I received, I was surprised at the candor and abruptness of the responses (it was mostly with regards to competitors and their prices). But I am used to getting sterile canned corporate responses. No such thing coming from them. I placed my order after much research and received prompt replies from PCT through every turn of my order. I do wish they could have been more specific about a shipping date, as I am a professional expediter and I like to have some idea of a receipt date; but they were unable to provide any such specific information, using vague phrases like "well, that model's components are usually in stock so it should ship soon." They also sent a false alarm notice saying the order shipped when it actually had not, but they quickly retracted the notice, actually before I even opened it, so I was ok with the mistake.
When they really shined was when there was a price discrepancy between what I had ordered and what had been invoiced. Once I complained about it, I was referred immediately to the owner, who resolved the issue within a few letters to my EXTREME SATISFACTION.
This company lives by the policy that the customer is always right above all other policies. I can tell they cherish their customer base and realize that they are not there to sell one computer to me, but want to be there to take care of me when I have problems, or need another computer way down the road. They have a very well run user/potential buyer forum which was very instrumental in educating me before and after my purchase. If a conflict or problem arises with a manufacturer, they jump right in to be the consumer advocate and cut through red tape. The product itself is an excellent piece of equipment that was received in good order and works great! These experiences are what builds successful companies in the 21st century. Caring. That's what PCTorque does best! "
"These guys are a good middleman for Sager Computers. I think the whole process would have been a bigger pain if I had to deal directly with Sager. But, here is what happened to me, you can draw your own conclusions. I received a very nice Sager 5680 on time and well packed. I tried to load Windows 2000 and had a couple of driver issues. I called PC Torque and Tom said "Call Sager" so I tried to and got a recording "You leave message, we call you right back" They didn't. I finally figured out the problem myself. I took the 5680 on a trip and decided it was just too big so I called PC Torque for an RMA. Tom said "Call Sager" So I did, and got the "Leave message..." answering machine again. Sager didn't return my call. So next day I call PC Torque and Tom said "I'll call them and get your RMA" which he promptly and couteously did. My complaint is that PC Torque can't help much besides with the order and Sager is not good at returning calls or email requests for info or RMA. Obviously Sager is "at home" because Tom called them on his super secret phone number and they gave him my RMA, which Tom emailed right to me. If I decided to buy another Sager, I'd use PC Torque as my middleman. As for the Sager 5680, the machine is really a luggable (desktop replacement) but the graphics and I/O subsystem are fantastic. "
"Very good customer service, and very fast. Before my order shipped, Sager offered upgrades on the 8890 screen to the SXGA+ and UXGA, I upgraded mine to the SXGA+, and they were very fast about responding through email. The phone support was great, no wait, questions answered clearly and professionaly."
"PC Torque and Tech. "Tom" are top notch. You will be hard pressed to find a company that cares for their customers and their product as does PC Torque. Customer service goes a long way and the employees of PC Torque have crafted this into an art. (Check out their forum). SAGER should value the fact that PC Torque sell's their product."
"I absolutely love this machine, it was well worth the waite. i purchased a 5680, and got it loaded to the gills with the max of everything. i expected this thing to be a space heater... and it runs as cool as any other laptop i have ever used. the construction of the laptop is more solid than i had expected. it runs great, and the price was very very minimal compared to other laptops of this caliber."
"I did a lot of research before deciding on what laptop to purchase and where to purchase it from. The thing that really drew me to PCTorque was their forums. Not only do they provide a place for thier customers, past present and futer, to go and discuss and ask question about PCTorque's products, as well as other company's products, but the staff actually post there on a very regular basis.
I've had a couple of questions about my purchase that I asked via PCTorque's online form and got a response I think within a couple of hours answering those questions.
The only problem I have whatsoever at this point is with my screen, which has 7 dead pixels. This problem is absolutely not PCTorque's fault and there is nothing they could do to avoid such problems. I posted a question asking what I should do about it and Adam from PCTorque quickly responded to the post. I am going to take his advise and call Sager Monday morning to arrange the free replacement of my screen.
The laptop is amazing...the best computer I've ever worked with. PCTorque's prices can't be beat, and their tech support is top of the line. I would definitely suggest (and have suggested to friends) to check them out.
Thanks PCTorque for the great product and support!"
"I ordered a NP5680 on the 15th of september.. it was shipped in less then a week... as for those people who took a month to recieve theres there was a backorder/preorder and the laptops were shipped on a first come first served basis. I cant ask for any better service.. PC torque WAS AWESOME they even checked if my laptop that I ordered shipped so i would know before i even got tracking :). I wonder if dell would spend the time to do that... i even wonder if i could understand the DEll support staff. HATS OFF TO PC TORQUE you GUYS R Number 1 in my BOOK ."
"The price was awesome, and while I am not happy it took me a month for the pc to ship, I cant hold anyone responsible for that. I finally got my machine, with a few issues that were resolved myself. The machine itself is amazing."
"PC-Torque is THE best reseller I've ever dealt with. The pre and post sales service is second to none, and the responsiveness is top-notch to email and phonecalls.
Laura is /THE/ best representative EVER. She almost always has the answer to a question right at hand.. and if she doesn't, I've never had to wait more than an hour for her to FIND the answer. That was on a busy day for her, too.
Seriously, PC-Torque simply cannot be over-hyped. The service is that good, and the product is even better.

"Hi,
I recently purchased a Sager 8890 from PC Torque. I have a problem with my equipmanent, two of the USB ports are not working. I posted my problem and my dissapointment in the sagerforums (managed by PC Torque) and my post was deleted. After that I posted my problem here at resellerratings. Soon after that, Adam, PC Torque owner and manager, called me to see my problem solved. He assured me that sager would take care of the problem in due time and I wouln't have to return this computer until a new one arrived. Well, I can't complain anymore. I will hold to Adam's promise and be happy with their service. "
"This fine company is simply the most courteous, hard-working, trustworthy computer seller with which I have ever worked. My order was processed the same day they recieved my check. Things were slightly delayed because of supply chain breaks at the ODM, so that's not PCTorque's fault. I will definately buy computers from them in the future, and I've recommended them to all of my college friends and I'm attempting to have my college change brands of the official laptop from IBM to Sager."
