"Being based in Australia I was initally a bit sceptical about ordering a laptop from some unknown company across the other side of the world. Support? Warranty? I am a sceptic no longer. I ordered a Sager 8890 and the whole process from web page to my desk was exceptional. If you are concerned about international shipping thru PC Torque - you will be impressed. As to support - just check out www.sagerforums.com (hosted by PC Torque). In 20 years in the IT industry I have never learnt as much or had as much fun as I had dealing with the people on that forum. It is not only the users, the guys from PC Torque are always there too.
Other companies could take a leaf out of PC Torque's customer support. It is the reason I placed my order thru them rather than any other supplier or manufacturer (local or on the other side of the planet).

"Absolutly the best reseller you'll ever encounter. I was absolutly blown away at the lengths everyone at PC Torque, Adam especially, went to to ensure their customers happiness. For a while now people have been SLIGHTLY turned off by the position of the FN key on some Sager laptops (5680 and 8890 in particular). Well Adam recently took it apon himself to contact sager and get the firmware for the keyboard. He then modified the firmware so that all you have to do is put it on a floppy, restart you laptop, and the firmware's automagically updated. All that's left to do is switch the keys. And like always Adam included detailed intructions and pictures on exactly how to do this.
I have been a member of the sagerforums for about 6-7 months now and on countless occasion i have seen PC Torque practice unparalleled patience and customer service. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!"

"I ordered a Sager 5670 thru PC Torque based largely on the feedback listed here and after hanging out at the sager forums (www.sagerforums.com) for a while. Adam at PC Torque answered my pre-purchase questions quickly and when Adam didn’t have an answer he didn’t try and feed me a line of bull, he simply said I don’t know. PC Torque offers slightly better pricing and a few more options than if you order from Sager direct, that was the deciding factor. Since PC Torque never actually gets to see the laptop, it’s drop shipped from Sager directly, I won’t blame them for the lemon of a laptop I ended-up getting. I placed my order on a Sunday night. I received a confirmation the next morning and having paid for 2nd day air I got my new laptop on Wednesday. Fairly quick service I’d say. I opened the box and all seemed well, everything was well packed and looked intact. Once the computer was booted-up it was apparent that something was wrong. Since this is not a rating of the computer its self I won’t bother with listing everything that was wrong. Sager tech support was not very helpful and when I contacted PC Torque (via sagerforums.com) Adam suggested returning the laptop. So I boxed it up and sent it back eight days after I got it. Adam says my refund should be processed in a couple of weeks. Aug 5 2003 i need to ammend my review. My refund was processed in less than 2 weeks,Adam has been extremely helpful in this stressful situation. PC Torque has earned my business, my next computer purchase will be thru them. "
"Purchasing from this company was one of the best choices that i ever made. The prices were equal to, if not lower, then all other competitors selling the EXACT SAME computers. My order was taken care of right away and i recieved it without any faults. I will admit, however, that, due to a mixup, i was sent 2 computers instead of my 1 that i ordered. Being the honest man that i am, i immediately told them about their mistake (better to tell them straight off then have them confront me and catch me in a lie). They sent a check for me to 2-day air mail it back to them, and told me to keep the change (which was a considerable sum). I would definately order from them in the future. "My laptop was shipped in very good packing and arrived after a relatively short time. I don't know the exact number of days it took, but that's a good thing. ;-) I received the Deluxe Backpack about 3 days later.
The laptop is absolutely fantastic. It's a definite desktop replacement given the high quality of all the components.
The OS install was extremely simple with XP/RedHat 8 dual boot and I've found some beneficial information at sagerforums.com (run by pctorque).
Overall, I'd rate the buying experience a 9 on a 0-10 scale. My experience could have only been better had a received the products earlier."
