"I bought my laptop from PCTorque because of the support forum that they run at www.sagerforums.com. Also, I liked that the emailed questions I had prior to buying were answered quickly, as opposed to other places I tried. I must say, though, that the following is pretty unusual, but true: PCTorque sent me a laptop carrying case different from the one I ordered. When I told them I was sending it back and to please send the right one, Adam, the owner, emailed me to keep the incorrect unit (retail cost $60+) as his gift for the error and he sent me the correct one overnight! I think that anyone who is in the market for a laptop should (a.) consider buying a Sager/Clevo, the only laptop I could find that has a model with a keyboard with a builtin numberic pad like a real PC (how in the world are you supposed to crunch numbers and do real work on anything else?!!!), and (b.) buy it from PCTorque. That's my recommendation!"

Excellent service and support. Owner answered phone personally on 3 seperate phone calls to confirm details about the purchase.
Company hosts web forum for support of products and provides a wealth of knowledge to the consumer.

"Placed an order for a 5660C on March 7. I immediately received an email from PCTorque receiving the order. I will be using this pc for general business use—Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, and some photo editing w/ Photoshop, layout w/ Pagemaker, and editing home miniDV video.
Later I read reviews about the 8887 at www.sagerforums.com. I then called PCTorque on 3/8, fully expecting to get an answering machine, to tell them that I wanted to change my order for an 8887. Instead of leaving a message, Adam picked up the phone and he changed the order. The Sager rep. was in his office and confirmed that my 8887 will ship on 3/10. Five minutes after I spoke with Adam, a confirmation email came to confirm the change and the specs. for the new order. I have ordered online from Sony and Dell and good luck in changing the order. I have owned a Sony notebook and a Inspiron 7000 and 8000. I have seen the Sager locally and its a fantastic system. Plus Dell's service is awful. Had my hard drive fail and had to reload everything. I need technical help and it took serveral phone calls and a couple of hours. The first tech. suport I talked to told me to turn the pc off then on again; wow.
What awesome service from PCTorque! For 1 week prior I sent emails to PCTorque and along with their competitors. I can say that PCTorque was the most helpful and knowlegeable. Adam has an extensive technical background. I will positively buy from PCTorque again.
Well I returned the 8887 because of poor battery life. I only got 1 hour and 10 minutes typing in Word. And I did cycle the battery twice. The return key was hard to reach. I had to lift my right had off of the home keys to reach return. And there is ghosting when watching Starwars EII. I have since purchased the 5670 and it is an awesome system. If it wasn't for the above mentioned cons about the 8887 I would have kept the system. The keyboard w/ the num pad is a great item for a notebook. "
"I bought from this company based on two reasons:
Resellerratings.com and their having the best prices on the Internet for comparable specs.
Normally, I would use a credit card for the added protection, but since I trust the ratings on here, I decided to write a check for the cash discount. It was fortunate for me that I did, because between the time the that I sent the check and the time that it arrived, there was a price drop on the laptop! I promptly requested an upgrade of my hard drive (+$90) and still had some money coming back! PCTorque offered to upgrade my shipping to 2nd day for the rest of the money, but I declined because a couple more days would have made no difference to me(I'm a college student, so I'm cheap). To my surprise, the laptop arrived two days later on Friday instead of the next week because PCTOrque upgraded the shipping to 2nd day for free so that I could use the laptop for the weekend! Sure, they could've nickel and dime me to death but they chose not to.
So..to make a long review short, I received a better computer than when I ordered a week ago, plus I got a small refund back.

"I am a software developer that prefers to do most of my work on a laptop. I've owned 2 Dell's, 1 Gateway, 2 Compaq's and 1 Toshiba over the past 10 or so years. For the record, I had the best luck with the 2 Compaqs and wouldn't have thought twice about buying another until their recent merger with HP.
I'd never heard of Sager until recently, but what I learned is that they buy their laptops from the same sources the "manufacturers" mentioned above buy theirs from. In other words, my Sager and your Dell came off the same assembly line, left on the same boat from China, and looked exactly the same until someone here in the US slapped logos on them. System1 = Sager. System1 + $500 = Dell.
The only difference is that companies like Dell spend a lot of money trying convince people that their international reputation, superior customer support, and your peace of mind is well worth an extra 25+%.
Now, if you really think you'll need things like onsite repair services or guaranteed 24hr turnaround on repairs, I'm not sure Sager can provide the same level of support. On the other hand, those services are above and beyond the extra $500 you've already paid to support their marketing engine.
I took the time to write this review because I want people to know that if you buy a Sager from PCTorque, will have access to resources the like of which cannot be matched by any of the "big name" companies.
The technical advice, the hard-core tweaks and the hard-core geeks at Sagerforums.com will get you through most of your support problems. But if you do need to call tech support at Sager, I promise you will be pleasantly surprised with their commitment to insure your satisfaction.
Here's was my experience:
1. I purchased a 5660, which arrived 2 days earlier than promised.
2. I had some minor problems with the LCD screen and decided to call Sager. It might have been hardware related but it was probably just me. Yet before I even tried to make my case, they had issued an RMA# and told me to order another through PCTorque.
3. I placed an order for a new system (upgraded the display) which, arrived at my doorstep the very NEXT MORNING!!! I swapped the harddrives as they suggested and couldn't be happier with everything.
PCTorque appears to consistently have better prices than other Sager resellers, but even more importantly, I promise you they will make every effort to insure you will only brag about your decision to purchase a Sagar. I am not affiliated with either company in any way and only took the time to write this because they took the time to to provide exceptional customer service at an exceptional value.
