"Requested money using PayPal for a service. PayPal put an extensive hold. Had to login to realize I had to mark order processed even though it's a service performed. Finally, funds became available. Said it would be in bank within 1 business day and initiated on Monday. Wednesday and still nothing and that It would take 1 week. Horrible and can't run a business like this. Stay away, they hold to make money while it sits in their account."

"I was scammed by someone pretending to be paypal by sending me emails from ****@****.
I sent a phone I had advertised for sale on Craigslist to the address in the email and was told that my paypal funds were in escrow until i sent them the tracking number for the shipment.
I sent the phone via UPS, sent the tracking number to the internet address in the fake email but received no money in my paypal account.
Paypal was absolutely no help at all. When I called they at first said Paypal would reimburse me for the money I was supposed to receive. In a subsequent phone call Paypal said they would not reimburse me. they just told me what I had to do - report the incident to the ic3 website , file a theft with local police. They didn't do anything at all to help.
Paypal doesn't even warn its customers about fraud like this - if I had been alerted at some point i would have probably not been fooled. They take no responsibility for abuses of their brand. The emails came from "****@****", where the real paypal address is "****@****". they looked genuine in every way. So how are we supposed to know unless we are alerted ???
I hate Paypal and will never use them again. I suggest that no one else does either.

"Created my account about 7-10 years ago, i was probably about 15 years of age. never used it until recently when i figured out i had some gaming items laying around from when i used to play videogames. sold them and got the money onto the paypal account. then i tried to withdraw the money but it wouldnt let me. then after a couple tries my account got locket. i recieve an email asking for verification that i am the owner of the account, i sent a picture of my drivers license that clearly says i am over the age of 18. i have to wait 2 days to get an email back from them saying i was under the age of 18 when i created the account so it will be locket and i will not be able to use it any more.
as the title says, great service. i created the account when i was too young ok, i get that. But now i am 22 years of age and they now decide to lock my money up? and tell me i can create a new account if i want to keep using their services ? no thank you. i have allways believed that paypal was a decent service for online shopping and stuff, but they managed to prove me wrong on that one, so i will never create a new account. and never reccoment their services too anyone because it is a bunch of ****.

"After being put on hold for 22 minutes or so you get someone that speaks proper English from the 1800s in Bangladesh. They read off a script and you accomplish nothing. They then put you on hold for someone else another 15-20 minutes. They pick up and still can't understand them, they are in Phillipines. You still can't get an answer to your question. This goes on for days n days n days..I made a money transfer from my PayPal account for $2500 to my USA checking account.. Was quoted one day time frame when I did transaction online. Then was told 2-3 days..Then 4-5 days..Then 4-5 working days. Then 7 days.. Then after a week of phone calls finally contacted a supervisor in Arizona USA!!!!! He solved my problem with PAYPAL in 24hrs and I got my funds.
I can not stand call USA companies with 3rd world customer service reps with the IQ of a hamster. All you do is go round n round n round. Vicious Circle!! I am going to do as little business with Paypal as I possibly can from now on.

"I have used PayPal for years...recently I changed banks....I had ordered something through eBay and I called to inform PayPal that I had closed one bank account and opened another. I have the representative all my new bank information, so I assumed everything was ok. I was wrong...the PayPal representative didnt program my new information in the computer under my payment options. I received my order from eBay and months passed when I got a nasty collection letter in the mail saying that owed PayPal the money from my lady order. You can imagine how I felt...I called PayPal right away and I talked to a phone representative in the phone...I sent them the money I owed them right away without delay. You would think that this was a simple misunderstanding? Well, not to them. I tried prong something in eBay again...and I was not allowed to checkout and purchase my item. I called PayPal numerous times and talked to phone representatives were I hot no where....I asked to speak to managers also whee I got no where. Even after I explained to them what happened they had me on a security watch list...where they didn't trust me as a customer anymore...over one incident that would have not happened if their representative had done their job and input my new informationin the first place. I had been a customer of there's for at least 15 years and never had s previous issue...it shows you much PayPal cares about their customers...they are somewhat of a monopoly that only care about their profits. Even after I apologized to their managers and told them that this was a misunderstanding that happened months ago and I had fixed the problem and I assured them that it wouldn't happen again...they didn't believe me. They told me the only solution was to buy a pre paid credit card or put money down on top of the money that I would use to pay for things...my debit card was not enough. "they processed my 2 or 3 payments without any problems but after that they put my account on hold telling me that there is suspicious activities on my account then i thought my customers might have complained about something i called every one for the feedback and got to see that i renewed every customer again there was no complaints no charge back and now it has been more than 3 months and things are at same place I think this is how they earn their living they con customers hold their amount for 6 months earn float on it and keep the money stay away from them if you love your business."
"For the past three months PayPal has been letting people rob me. I have been selling gift cards online, all my customers have asked me to send the codes via email so I have and they always respond satisfied. If the customer initially paid for a shipping fee (Bc I preferred to ship and not have a problem) then I would refund them the shipping fee through PayPal. After a few months, paypal would open case about returning their full payment Bc I didn't ship... So I go to respond to an open case that the buyer picked up or there is not an option for what your claim would be, I've tried picking both and explaining that the item was something done via email and that I can send pictures of prove or allow access to my accounts so that they could review messages. They could also check with iTunes to know that the card was disbursed into their account. Yet as soon as I would respond to the case, within seconds the case would be considered closed and the buyer got a 100% refund. "

We RueB.co.uk bought several hundreds of pounds worth of bead and stamping stock from this company, I saw no risk as I paid via PayPal and so felt reassured.
Unfortunately my confidence has been smashed.
in short we received about 10% of our order after a great deal of delay (1 Month) and a number of excused. I soon realised that they send this poor quality stock in order to generate a tracking number and so provide this to paypal should I attempt to enforce a dispute, which I did.
First I should say we paid for sterling silver and the tiny packet of product was a low quality plated fake in any case.
to summarise almost 3 months on and no goods and no refund from ether PayPal or Beadsnice
PayPal say that my complaint was not justified (I have not finished with them yet but I am unsure what I can do)
Beadsnice gave many excused - Chinese holiday, stock being made, they will send and give 10% off the list goes off, they tried to refund me but paypal refused, but still nothing.

PayPal would not accept any of this correspondence as Beadsnice emailed direct and, despite me asking, not via PayPal.
I Could go on and on but simply I would warn any individual of company not to trust these scammers 1 inch. :)
They even deleted my account when I went to find the invoice number and date - Bad People.
On a positive note this is only the second time this has happened at RueB in 16 years so most traders are great and highly trustworthy and so I am not put off.

"After having my pay pal account hacked into and paypal doing nothing to stop it. I proceeded to remove my bank account from paypal. Of course the next time I needed to purchase an ebay item the transaction defaulted to a closed bank account rather than my credit card. Pay pal has no way to deal with such a minor issue even when caught immediately. They have to send letters and carry out a week long process, so on and so forth. I'll likely end up with bank fees and a major delay in purchasing the item I needed. I'd like to point out that Amazon has no issues modifying a transaction if caught early. Ebay needs to provide alternatives as paypal is outdated, unsecure and inconvenient."
