"I just ordered a netbook from them, they shipped it when they said they would ship it, and I got it on time, and love the product. Best thing about this store is they really give you personal attention, when you email them you actually get a real person replying the same day (your mileage may vary), who truly wants to help! That's a rarity in today's world of nameless customer service reps. I feel like you can trust this company and its people to give you great service. They have a great selection of stylish notebooks, and the price was pretty competitive too."

"I recently purchased a Sony Vaio from this company and was impressed with the responsiveness of the sales support staff. My only complaint is that I didn't receive and email with order number, tracking info, etc., but I emailed them and within an hour had an email with my order status and tracking number and an apology for not sending it sooner. I even contacted them after the order had shipped to change my method of payment ( i used the wrong card) and they cooperated, sending me a Google checkout payment request and issuing a refund of the original payment as soon as the new payment method was verified.

I've bought my last 3 or 4 laptops from Dell, and after some frustration with their support and a desire to try something new, I decided on the Sony Vaio. Portable One had the lowest price i found and i'm glad i bought from them.

"I ordered a Samsung NC-10 (Netbook)from Scott at Portable One (P1) and they were wonderful. This netbook was extremely new on the market and they did not have one in stock. Within a week, Scott had one shipped out to me. I was skeptical that they would have Samsung ship one to P1 within a week but they did. I received mine UPS within 2 days of their receipt. Scott was great at responding to my nevous/anxious emails and phone calls. However, Scott came through and my next purchase will surely be with P1."

"Portable One has again demonstrated that it is the retailer to beat for the products it offers. The crew there has blown me away yet again with the kind of service the other guys don't even attempt.

I've been a repeat customer for about 10 years, with my latest purchase being a Sony Vaio SE. Although I had been casually shopping for a new laptop for a while, circumstances added an element of urgency to my purchase, and P1 came through once again.

I traded a few phone calls and emails with Scott, describing what I needed. He responded immediately and knowledgeably, offering price, performance, and feature options and his personal recommendations. I went for his top suggestion, and after a couple weeks of use, I'm confident that it was a great call.

I give all of the credit to the crew at Portable One. This is the third notebook I've bought from P1, and at least 3 of my colleagues have purchased from them; all of us have been pleased-- even surprised-- by the quality of products and service, and the integrity of the company.

Truly outstanding service from beginning to end, but not at a premium price. On the contrary, P1's posted pricing beat the competition's AND they added upgrades and extras to make their pricing and service untouchable.

P1's performance was flawless. Even though I ordered a custom SSD upgrade for my Vaio, P1 had it in my hands 3 days after I placed the order, all without a nosebleed "expedited shipping" charge.

All in all, the PC is everything I was promised, and Portable One has excelled once again. If this company is not your first choice of vendors, it should be.

"For anyone considering Portable One, this IS the store for you!

My experience with Portable One spans the past three weeks. It started with a few emails inquiring about the product I was interested in (ASUS Eee PC 901 laptop). The manager with whom I was communicating, Ivan, normally responded to my emails immediately (within minutes, literally). His answers were always very clear, helpful, and made the decision-making process very easy. Placing the order online was fast and easy. The product was not available yet in the American market, and Ivan kept me updated almost daily on the upcoming launch.

As I was heading abroad and had a very short window of time to receive the Eee 901, I ended up needing to make numerous changes to my shipping address and, unfortunately, had to bother Portable One quite a bit as a result. Ivan was extremely patient and understanding, and always tried to help me figure out what the best options were. ASUS was a bit slow in releasing the Linux-version 901's from customs in San Francisco, so unexpected delays made things more difficult. Still, Ivan even we as far as upgrading my shipment option on his own, without charging me! That was certainly much more than I would ever expect, as all the changes were always mine, not Portable One's.

In the end, after the Eee 901 was finally released and immediately shipped, I had already left the U.S. on business, and now had to seek yet another way to get the laptop to me. I had to now ask Ivan to reroute the shipment to yet another location in the U.S., and was yet again shocked at how fast and efficiently Ivan took care of it. Not once did I hear any complaints for the headaches I was obviously causing Ivan and Portable One.

What I kept on getting, from the very first moment on, through pre-sale, sale, and after-sale, was top notch, impeccable personal service. I cannot imagine receiving this anywhere else, in any business transaction I've ever had, or probably will have.

I cannot but give the highest possible recommendation to Portable One and to Ivan personally, for the absolutely best experience I've had.

" This has been resolved, for some reason til now it would not allow me to remove it. The service has been excellent, what happened is Ivan's email service and mine are not compable. While he's been emailng me it's not been coming thru. He even called me and we talked it out and fixed the issue. On the 4 of July no doubt. "

"Solid experience.
I am a Canadian who was vacationing in Florida for several weeks. The eee 900 was not out in Canada and I wanted one ASAP. Many resellers would not take an order from my Canadian credit card and ship to another location (in the US)--understandable to avoid fraud. However, Ivan worked with me to make it happen and still ensure safety and avoiding fraud. There was one problem as I had ordered the machine for overnight shipping to my resort in Florida to arrive the Friday (as I was leaving Sat morning). For some reason it didn't ship out on time. However, the communication with Ivan was stellar and we managed to get it shipped to my location in Seattle on my way home. Worked out great. The ordering online was easy and very professional (builds confidence as a consumer). The site used my "verified by VISA" to ensure security as well. Email and phone communication was quick and overall I would say I was impressed. Got exactly what I wanted, when I wanted it, and the "mistake" that was made was rectified quickly at no cost to me. Recommended highly.

"I had read a number of reviews and articles about the ASUS EEE PC, but I was unsure where I should purchase the actual device. While scanning Google, I noticed an advertisement for Portable One. I read the most recent reviews and was impressed by the level of personal service given throughout the timeframe of 2007-2008.

I gave the company a call and spoke with Ivan. He was knowledgeable, friendly, animated and assured me that they'd be able to ship the computer to me even though I'd be 300 miles from home on a business assignment.

The EEE PC's price and shipping costs were very competitive, and the package was delivered, as promised, on time and in excellent condition. The contents were very well packed and the little ASUS has worked like a charm ever since.

I've had my share of misadventures with megadealers like Best Buy, with well-meaning staff who did not know the products they were selling and who sometimes did not appear to care to help if you weren't prepared to spend substantial amounts of money. In addition, big stores and the occasional mail order business sometimes insist on selling returned/refurbished units as "just like new"...with Portable One everything was new with all inserts and accessories included.

I can honestly say that everything positive you've read about Portable One is true. I for one will make sure that any future PC purchases for either my family or myself will be directed to them exclusively.

"An amazing company that does FAR more than sell. This group provides deep technical support, with product combinations and software that demonstrate serious engineering capabilities. For example, you can order any of the Sony laptops, and then mix and match the hard drives - nonstandard - to get precisely what you need even if it's not available from Sony, all while retaining Sony warranty! And, you can order a "stripped" operating system restore disk, with no advertising, demo, or other bloatware, to make your laptop efficient, stable, and fast.

The surprising thing is that all this happens at prices that beat the discount houses.

I strongly recommend this first-class company -- our group will not do business with any other.

"I didn't order my new laptop from Portable 1 due to them having the newer model so I figured that I would save some money and get the older model but I did buy there program to wipe out the bloatware off of my Sony TZ (which if you know this model there is A LOT!!) well Portable 1 could not have been any greater!! Not only did they send me the disk very fast but when I had some issues they got back to me ASAP and then when they couldn't talk me threw my issue they developed a program and sent it to me via email and then stayed online to talk me threw it while I installed the program on my laptop... and they even checked on me the next day to see if everything was running fine!! ALL THAT 4 A $29 Program!!! I am so buying my next comptuer from them!! PS if I got my Sony TZ from them they even where going to throw in the Sony leather case that I went to sonystyle 4 and spent $125 and that program that I paid $29 and install it so I've learned my leason Portable 1 all the way next time!!!!"

"Portable One is truely one of the greatest companies I have EVER worked with! To start off, they had the laptop I wanted for a $100 dollars less and on top of that offered a free no-bloatware Windows install! At first you might think nothing of this, however if you ask anyone who has tried to use a default Sony Vaio TZ laptop, they will tell you it has so much factory installed bloatware on it that the laptop is almost rendered useless! The guys at portable one saw this and added the extra option at NO additional charge to get a no bloatware install of Windows on the laptop! This turned the laptop from a disc filled slow performer to the laptop of my dreams! This however is just one of the MANY extremes Portable One goes to for their customers. When my laptop was first being set up and tested by them, they noticed ONE dead pixel on the screen and immediately had the laptop sent back to Sony and a brand new FLAWLESS one sent out to me! I dont know of ANY other company that only sends out PERFECT products like this! As if that wasnt enough, their staff is BEYOND there for you! If you have ANY questions or issues, almost immediately will they respond back to you with a responce that will put a smile on your face every time! I almost feel that portable one must be loosing money in order to provide me with such a great customer experience! I have never in my entire life been treated this well by a company... EVER! When there was a slight shipping issue(no fault of portable one's) with a copy of a custom recovery disc they were sending me,(which is also something extra that portable one does free for their customers!) they had no problem resending me a new disc. Portable One really defines what it means to not just be a good but a GREAT company. In all honesty, I think if every company was like Portable One the world would really be a better place."
