"Portable One is an excellent maker of computers. I own the UX my wife just got the MX. I was concerned about buying from P1 since they were not a big box store. The service I have received has been impecable both for the UX and MX issues due to other then out of the box related. I would recommend P1 to anyone in the market for a computer without hesitation. "Bought a Portable One MX branded laptop (rebadged ASUS). A few days later I found out from another source that this store a bluetooth component needed for my laptop. I called Portable One and talked to Ivan on the phone. He gave me several options, one was to wait until it came in in a few weeks, or to ship it now and I could send it back in later when they got in the chips. This seemed very nice so I opted to have it sent out, he estimated it would ship sometime later that week. There was another delay, although understandable. Every time I talked to their support people they were very nice and helpful, and did keep me up to date."

"I ordered a Fujitsu P1510D Tablet PC from Portable One on Mar 27. They charged my card on Mar 29 and said that they placed the order with Fujitsu that day. Their website promised deliver in "5 to 10 business days", which would have been Apr 10 at the latest. It did not arrive. I have just learned that Fujitsu suddenly terminated Portable One as a reseller and repair station effective Apr 10, 2006. I was told that Fujitsu will not honor my order, which was placed prior to the termination. The problem here seems to have been caused by the sudden termination by Fujitsu, and not by Portable One.
I was subsequently contacted by Ivan, who contacted another Fujitsu reseller and negotiated on my behalf the same deal that P1 had made with me. He also said that he had refunded my credit card. I think that Ivan and P1 has performed beyond the call of duty in a difficult situation."

"I just got my tracking information. my new Fujitsu P7120D is already half-way around the world from Japan and should be here (Washington DC) in the next couple of days. I did a considerable amount of reasearch not only on the computer I wanted but also on the many "places" I could but it. Price was important and I got the best price out there with Portable One, but I also wanted to be sure that any potential problems would be handled urgently. I searched and read many message forum posts and blogs and saw nothing but A+ customer service and error resolution noted from recent Portable One customers and after the conversation I just had, I feel confident that any issues will only be temporary and will be solved to my satisfaction. Unless you see another post here from Shawnblog (dotcom), I'm still very happy with Portable One."

"after much research at notebookreview.com i came to conclusion that the Fujitsu Lifebook N6410 and P1 was for me. Ivan and the tema there answered all my many, MANY pre-purchase emails quickly - usually within minutes. i adjusted my order and re-adjusted it (new purchase jitters) and they were very patient and understanding. (saints!) then when Fujitsu Japan delayed my unit i had to cancell due to time constraints on my end. Ivan was willing to build one of my alternative unit choices (not advertised on their site) and cut me a great deal! as it worked-out, i went with another choice and another manufacturer/reseller outfit. Ivan understood and promptly processed the cancellation and refund. all-in-all, i must have had 10-20 different email communications with P1 and they treated each one as if i was their only customer --- like a true VIP. this purchase didn't work-out, but the service impressed me enough to write this review and i'll definitely go to them 1st in the future. top notch. cheers to you P1!!!"

I bought a Fujitsu laptop from Portable One over a year ago. I had ordered 512 MB of memory, but only recently discovered that it had come with only 256 MB of memory. I e-mailed Portable One, and Ivan sent me another 256 MB module via Fed Ex. PI had upgraded my warranty free of charge to a 3-yr warranty when I had originally purchased the laptop, and they stood behind their product. It was completely hassle-free, all done via e-mails. I highly recommend Portable One to anyone interested in purchasing a laptop, and am extremely impressed by their customer service."

"Previously, I purchased a fujitsu n6010 from this company a year ago after reading all the positive reviews about them in the notebook forums. My experience with the first purchase went so well that I decided to purchase from them again. After much discussion with both Victor and Tom, I decided to get the P1 EX instead of my original choice, the fujistu S2110. Once I received the system, there was a slight problem with the screen flickering in the battering saving mode. After contacting P1 about the problem, I received prompt assistance. This was very important to me because I don’t play when it comes to spending this kind of money for a purchase. I was very impressed at how Ivan jumped right on the problem and promptly answered all of my emails, even some sent after hours! I did not have to call them once and was able to address the problem solely via email. This was very unusual for me because I always call for such things. The only time I called P1 was to return a call they made to me and that was the day the replacement shipped. After trying everything Ivan suggested, it was determined that I needed a replacement. While waiting on the replacement, I decided to upgrade my hard drive to an 80G 7200rpm drive. They did it with no problem. With in a week, I had my new replacement and it works just great. The P1 EX is a very fine system. I am pleased with it in every way so far. I have only had the replacement for about a week now and so far no problems. It is a well made system and I am happy with my decision. Now I can personally say from experience that P1's customer service is second to none. They are truly a great company. It really felt like they were in my corner and that they tried to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. To be honest, I did not feel any anxiety at all when the computer exhibited the problems. Somehow I just knew that they would do the right thing and take care of the situation in a proper manner. They did just that. My older sister has since ordered her fujitsu from P1 and I plan to direct my other sister to P1 for her next computer purchase.

Portable One was very prompt in answering my questions prior to the sale. During the sale, although there was an issue with Fujitsu losing my laptop order, Portable One was very responsive to my issues and worked to resolve the issue immediately and with a discount for my inconvenience. After the sale, they remained friendly and responsive to an issue that proved to be a non-issue (FedEx slow in delivering).

"I ordered a modular battery for my Fujitsu laptop from them. Before ordering I called them to ask a detail about the battery and charging it. A nice guy answered the phone (no 15 minutes waiting and listening to stupid songs) and explained to me everything I asked him (silly me I forgot to ask if they have it on stock :) ). I think except Fujitsu, they are the only place that carries Fujitsu laptop components. I ordered on Monday, received an email in a couple of hours to let me know that the battery is not in stock and if I agreed to be shipped directly from Fujitsu (they offered to refund the 2nd day shipping fee). Called the second day and a guy picked up, which is surprising. Again no waiting? He assured me that it would ship from Fujitsu. The battery shipped from Fujitsu on Thursday, at least as fast as if I had ordered directly from there.
I was very pleased with amount of customer attention. It seems they would do anything for the purchasing process to go smoothly.
Their prices are fair, even if they offer this high level of customer care."

"Excellent, patient customer service. They answered all e-mail questions almost immediately, and spent a lot of time on the phone with me as well. I ordered their UX system, which is a modified Asus z33a with high-end hardware. It arrived within a week, and after a month of daily use I have had no problems with it at all. If you purchase an Asus-based notebook, I highly recommend going with Portable One, since these notebooks are only as good as the vendor who builds them, burns them in, and services them. Portable One excels at all three. This company only sells quality portables. The Panasonic Toughbooks are great, Fujitsus are built in Japan, and theire own Asus-based sytems are the best available and outperform just about everything on the market."

"I am a repeat and, obviously, very satisfied customer. Under Ivan and now under Scott's direction, the company continues to provide amazing service. Pre-purchase advice and assistance is always given promptly and expertly and there is no dearth of post sale follow-through.
This time I purchased 2 MacBook Pros and buying through them allowed for not only a monetary savings but also for more customizable configurations, with control over the hard drive being installed (unlike through Apple direct). They also go the extra mile, volunteering to recover data from the drive of a laptop that had broken which unfortunately was not backed up.
I've said it repeatedly to friends- "where else do you find customer service like theirs- in any industry?!" Their normal customer service is what other companies should aspire to provide, and is unique not only in their industry but in any industry.
Don't hesitate to buy from them. They may not be the cheapest guys on the block, but their pricing is fair and, in reality, a bargain for the service you get,"

"This was my third purchase from Portable One over the last four months. Four notebooks (two Panasonic Toughbook W2, Portable One MX and Fujitsu S6231) later and I am still very impressed with the service provided. Emails are answered in a timely manner and phone calls are handled by a real person.
My first purchase (the two W2 notebooks) was delayed in shipping due to a stuck pixel on one of the screens. Compared to some of the other high ranked stores and their "Dead pixel policy" this was a pleasant suprise. Portable One waited to ship until they received a notebook with the screen all of us want, one without stuck pixels!
Portable One is not always the least expensive place to shop, but the service they provide is second to none. If you value prompt, courteous service then this is the place for you!"
