"I heard about PowerNotebooks several years ago. When I was in the market for a new laptop a couple weeks ago, I went to their website, talked to their staff and bought a J 10:15. The notebook arrived as scheduled, and is a great machine.
What has particularly impressed me has been their tech support. Part of the reason I went with PowerNotebooks is that I wanted a personal approach - people I could actually talk to and who knew what they were doing.
As it happened, I had to contact them twice. On the first occasion a too aggressive registry cleaning trashed my system and I had to reinstall everything. PowerNotebooks returned my call within 10 minutes and walked me through several issues regarding driver installations.
A week later, I unwittingly changed some settings in my BIOS such that Windows couldn't find my hard drive. Once again, I made a call to PowerNotebooks tech support, they immediately identified the problem, and I was again saved from a computing near-death experience.
I should point out that both of these calls were after normal working hours. I very much doubt I would have had such responsive and informed tech support if I had been dealing with one of the so-called famous name companies.
Also, shortly after receiving my computer, (and before the above mentioned problems) I received a very nice follow-up email from Don Stratton, just to make sure everything was OK.

"I found this company to be extremely competitive with their prices. I also found it nice to do business with a christian business. Case in point is that they gave me a refund after I had already paid them and placed the order because of a price drop on the product.
I don't know about anyone else, but I have never had a company "inform me" that I had a credit due.
If it does happen, it is only because of due diligence in keeping track of product pricing.
