"I purchased a set of Michelins Pro 4 tires and they were defective. The tires were cracked all the way around. Clearly unsafe to ride. I sent them a message to see if they had warranty and they wanted pics. I took the pics and sent them and they said they wanted better pics when the pics were clearly detailed. I sent more and I never heard back from them again."
"Have ordered a few things over the years. Always a good price, quality items and reliable service. Recommended :-)"
"Item not received or refunded. No proof of delivery either, despite a signature being a required. In hands of credit card now.
Item ordered next day delivery, 2 days to be allowed to my postcode. Receipt said untracked, yet they sent an email with tracking number. The tracking page showed a signature was also required.
It "arrived" 3 days later, I was not home, and the box was left in a "safe" place - outside on a rainy windy day behind a bin - which is not acceptable as a safe place in the carriers FAQ page, also leaving it in a safe place is only allowed if no signature is required. The tracking page shows my surname as the signatory, but they cannot supply a proof of delivery with a signature! Only GPS co-ordinates of the next street along.
The item was not there when I got home. PBK say it was sent standard UK delivery and I potentially have to wait 30 days for a refund incase it turns up. Turns up from where - Yodel said it was delivered and signed for, and left a card to say it was left outside.
PBK have not responded to my cancellation requests or the evidence of non delivery I have sent them via their contact page.
Have contacted my cc and will not be shopping there again."
"These people would not allow a cancellation of an order 15 minutes after it was placed, despite the fact that their website says they allow 14 days! Attempts to straighten things out with Probikekit company service were useless. Thank goodness it was a credit card transaction which I was able to dispute.
I will NEVER do business with this company again!"
"Ordered an Ultegra group and some tires on 1Dec2014. Previous experience with PBK has been good so I didn't check ResellerRatings. It's now 1Jan2015 and no word on the order. Received a "tracker" email from the shipping company on 12Dec2014 that the order was "Dispatched". Since then, no update nor details on the location of the order.
10Jan2015 Update - Order finally arrived and included everything exactly as specified (Ultegra parts group, other Shimano parts and several tires).
Shipping took a week longer than they specified as the maximum, but in fairness this was ordered during the Christmas rush so that's not so bad.
Cons:
1. The shipper does NOT provide any tracking information. Every other shipper does this - not as an extra expense, it's just good business. Worse yet I received an email with a link to a web page for "tracking information". This however never was updated and only stated the shipment had been "Dispatched". I wish I could rate shipping as zero starts!
2. Customer service is inept or perhaps they just don't care until an order is a couple months late. Ironically I messaged customer service the day before the order arrived. They were nice enough to reply back after the order arrived to tell me it had been delivered.

"Ordered Shimano Ultegra DI2 Group Set (26/11/2014). Item was in stock but took 2 weeks to process and despatch. I'm still waiting on delivery (22/12/2014) It has been at Couriers depot since 19th.
Customer service is useless. The same scripted answers for each enquiry. I will stick to Wiggle in the future, their turnaround is always around 1 week. "
"I've never had a bad experience ordering cycling gear online....until now. It's actually quite simple. Just let your customers know that above the $200+ transaction they will have to pay another $50 to get the merchandise through custom. Be up front. Let us know you're in England. Let us know the final bill isn't the final bill. And when we write to customer service asking if the random customs e-mail we keep receiving is legit, don't send a "donotreply" answer that states that the customs $ clause is buried deep in the terms and conditions and we should have read that before ordering. Sure, most of us have our attorneys read terms and conditions before we buy anything. So lame. "
"I had done plenty of business with PBK in the past with no problems. That changed. My last order on 8/25/14 never arrived. Going on 2 months now and they are the WORST with customer service! A total run around. Disclaimer forms? You need to have a printer and print the form out. What? I am livid! Calling my bank and am going to cancel the order. I'm sick of their BS. DO NOT give them the business. ORDER at your own risk! Uhhhhhhhhh"
"USA buyers beware. This site looks like a USA site but shipping comes from Europe. I purchased bike stand advertised at $107 USD with free shipping. Buried in the fine print was statement that free shipping limited to 2 KG. When I received confirm $38 USD in shipping tacked on (shipping cost not revealed prior to placing order). I immediately (within 5 minutes) sent e-mail cancelling order. Pro bike ignored my e-mail and advised me the next day that order had already been processed. If I wanted to return it they would pay up to 15% of shipping cost, i.e. $15 USD. When package finally arrived checked with USPS and learned shipping would be approximately $100 USD. Avoid this site at all costs! "
"I bought an Easton EC 90 SL (carbon) stem for over $200. (Order number 43739799). What they sent me was a cheap, carbon fake. I already owned this stem on my XC bike and wanted one for my road bike. I immediately noticed the inferior quality ( a piece had already broken away) and lack of internal serial number. I sent a series of photos to Easton Cycling in the U.S. and received an email back from Sam McInnis confirming it was a counterfeit part. PBK sold me a stem that has no guarantee of quality or strength and I shudder at the thought of the consequences of this piece of rubbish failing on a big descent. I sent it back and PBK refunded my money promptly but what is really telling is I got no word from them conceding it was a fake, nor any explanation or apology. This suggests either they knowingly sold me an unsafe, counterfeit part or they don't care. This is a timely warning to anyone buying carbon parts on-line. There are fakes out there. PBK seems to have no problem selling them at genuine part prices, despite the real safety risk and the illegality. The only reason I'm not riding around on a potentially dangerous stem is because I already owned one and noticed the inferior quality and that a part of it had already broken away. Why would anyone ever trust this company again after being caught out selling fakes? Who else is riding around on fake parts sold by PBK? Maybe I'll get an explanation here."
"Tracked order never received.
Will not provide refund despite many requests.
Have had to open case with cc compnay.
Stay away from this vendor"
"I purchase a Speedo wetsuite and it works very well. I put the order in 26/09/2014 and received at 02/10/2014. I recommend."
"I purchased a camera package for my bike almost two months ago now, they emailed me about 3 weeks after the purchase saying that they were out of stock and would expect to have it delivered to me within a week. After that week passed, I had to email them back to see where it was, they then said they couldn't give an exact delivery time as they were 'negotiating' with their supplier to get more stock in.
So not only did they sell em a product they didn't have, they never contacted me to inform me that they weren't going to send it, and then they couldn't even tell me when it was going to be in stock. Poor service all round, do not recommend this company."
"I'm a US customer, who ordered without checking here first.
So I ordered, then I read the reviews, boy was I panicked.
In the end, I got my order, within a reasonable timeframe (a little over a week), without additional customs trouble.
I ordered 2 foldable bike tires, and saved $20 or so with a discount code.
I will say, they spam the crap out of me; initially account creation notices, then cart contents notices, then promos. I have NOT tried to unsub, so it may be that simple. I think the initial stuff was some broken code in the website. "
"I'm not sure why so many negative reviews. I ordered over $600 of merchandise from them less 10 days ago and received it 1 week earlier than expected! Their prices are ridiculously good and I couldn't be happier with their service. People who order merchandise from the UK need to understand, 2-3 weeks is generally the time it takes. A lot of this is due to customs.
