"I usually build my own systems but decided to go with a Boutique dealer this time around. When I was in graduate school I built, sold, and serviced computers (Remember Altair, IMSAI, and Apple II?). The past 33 years I've been in the Aerospace business, often managing project involving HPCs and embedded systems, so I've had a lot of dealer and vendor experience to help me select someone. What drew me to Puget were two things: one was the sense of fun that you sense everyone is having in building PCs for their customers like I used to have in the old days and two was the high quality of their web site. I was literally able to answer 99% of my technical questions with a few clicks as I designed my own custom PC using their tools. Then there was the high quality customer service and advice you get when you do ask questions. Upon reviewing my order a few key suggestions made the difference between getting the system I asked for and what would really worked best for meeting my requirements. That kind of service and advice I really appreciate!! Finally there is the testing and thermal verification. Heat is the enemy for longevity and these guys get that. Thermal imaging of all builds! Wow, what's not to like? Of course you can build it cheaper yourself but if you're going to have someone build it for you why not get the best? These guys really deserve your consideration."

"I waited awhile before I wrote my review because almost everything performs great when you first get it.

It's been over 4 months now since I've received my Traverse 17" Laptop, and this thing is STILL performing exceptionally. It operates just as smoothly today as it did the first day it arrived. Everything has been working flawlessly.

I'm a college student, and my budget is extremely tight. I could have opted for a much cheaper computer ($1000 less) at Best Buy or whatever, but experience has taught me that you get what you pay for (at least when it comes to electronics). I had a 15" laptop that cost me $700.00 and the specs were good, but that thing began showing problems very early on. I am so happy with the investment I've made, and if I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Having a 2 year old daughter, she still manages to find my laptop no matter where I hide it. She's jumped on it AND SPILLED A FULL CUP OF WATER ON IT. I'm proud to say that it's had no negative effect on my Traverse.

I rated it as "Very Low Priced" because the money you spend is far less than the value you receive in terms of quality of product and quality of service. Remember that I'm a college student, so funds are short. I spent over a year researching Puget Systems and other laptops because I can't afford to blow another $700.00. I've written their staff and contacted them on countless occasions as to what to put in, why have it, is it necessary, and other things like that, and the staff has been SO patient and honest with me. Their recommendations have saved me over $400.00 on unnecessary options I was looking to get.

Thank you Puget Systems! Can you make Tablets as well?! That would be great for my e-textbooks for classes. LOL

"Wow! That's all I can say. This computer, Puget Serenity, is so quiet if it wasn't for the little blue LED light you would not even know it is on.

I exchanged a few e-mails with one of Puget's techs about my proposed configuration and made some tweaks based on the excellent information provided. Their website is also full of useful information about their products and components. I ordered and monitored the build status through their website. It arrived in about a week and a half from the order date. Not bad, actually pretty good, for custom computer. And this included the 4th of July holiday.

It arrived extremely well packaged and in good shape though FedEx tried their best to test the packing limits. The exterior box had a few gouges and dents but the internal box was unaffected.

I unpacked (there is even packing placed inside the computer itself), plugged my wires in, turned on, and started computing. There were no issues. And it is running perfectly ever since. I am extremely happy with the system.

I am really impressed with the service and quality of Puget Systems and would not hesitate to recommend or order from them."

"This was my first experience with Puget systems, I needed a machine that beyond what the normal Dell/HP type vendor could provide. I spent an hour or so looking over the machines and saved a configuration overnight so that I could think a little longer. The next morning I had an email from them saying that they would be glad to review the configuration and suggest alternatives if I wanted some help. I took them up on the offer and Jeff suggested ways to both improve the system and save me money.

I ordered the machine the next day, asking for an OS load of Kubuntu with RAID5 configured and they said they'd try to do this for me. I followed the daily progress and the machine arrived on time, and configured exactly as I had asked.

The machine runs wonderfully and has exceeded my expectations. They provided a binder with full documentation, system CDs/DVDs, warranty information and everything needed for reference and support should I need it.

I'm extremely satisfied with the system and the support Puget has supplied and will highly recommend them to my friends and associates.

"Approximately six months ago I decided to purchase a gaming rig from Puget Custom Computers. I had already tried another major boutique builder with horrible results and I was very nervous about trying again. I found the components I was looking for and then contacted Puget for advice. Daniel kindly asked me what I was going to use my computer for which is mostly for gaming and photo and art projects. He advised me to get some less expensive parts since they would actually serve me better. Yes, I did go with the expensive GPU-an NVidia GTX 690-but it has been worth it! Playing Skyrim has been a revelation after having played it on an Xbox first.
The computer arrived and it started right up with no problems and has run ever since. It was so quiet I had to make sure that it was on; even better-it runs cool! My last gaming computer ran so hot I couldn't use it in the summer because it would overheat. It is also much better at keeping out the dust than my previous machine.
Someone from Puget called me a few days after receiving my computer to see that everything was fine and I was glad to say that I was very happy with my experience. I am definitely going to go back to Puget when the time comes. Since I haven't had any problems I can't comment on their customer service but judging from my experience with them so far, I am confident that I would be very satisfied."

"After having some bad experiences with a bigger, cheaper company who outsources, I decided to look for something American made (or as close to as possible). Puget custom computers was interesting but expensive so I continued to look. After seeing the competitions poor customizing options, I looked again at Puget Custom Computers. I loved the selection of options to customize my computer. After I picked everything I wanted, I had my selection reviewed for any tips/issues. William George is my service rep, and is very knowledgeable. His corrections (and there were a few :) ) were not condescending. He answered all of my questions, and was prompt with his responses. When you order from PCS, you have the same rep assigned through the whole process, they keep you up to date on the progress, and go above and beyond to make sure your computer is going to be high quality and reliable. The customer service is some of the best I have ever encountered. For whatever reason, my monitor had not arrived when they finished my computer. Not only did they tell me about this issue, but they bumped me up to the next size up for free. When I actually picked up the computer the person gave me a quick walkthrough of the layout of the computer, boxed it up for me, carried it out to my car for me, and gave me a soda and bottle of water. If there any issues with my computer, and I doubt there will be, I wont cringe about having to talk to tech support. Did I also mention the tech support is lifetime?
