"I have had excellent service from Puget Custom Computers. I bought a custom laptop from Puget in 2010, and the system has worked perfectly since then. Last summer (2012), the hinge that opened and closed the laptop unexpectedly broke. Puget went out of their way to have the manufacturer fix the chassis for me, even paying for extra expenses charged by the manufacturer. When the hinge went out again in spring 2013, I found out from Puget that this particular style of chassis had a defect and that Puget was no longer buying from the manufacturer that had built the chassis. Puget bent over backwards to rectify the situation for me. They offered to rebuild my laptop completely with a brand-new chassis. They were able to use some of the parts from my original laptop to keep costs very low, and they upgraded a few of the new parts. They also gave me significant discount. They were very professional and personal with me, and we communicated over a period of time to come to good agreement over all the details. They also did a rush job for me: including shipping time, I was without the laptop for only two weeks. I now have a much better system than I originally had -- faster, newer, with a new warranty, and for much less than it would have cost me to buy a new laptop of the same quality. I paid a little extra for the noise dampening, and I cant hear this system running.

There are lower priced systems builders out there, but after this experience I sticking with the guys that get it right (Puget Systems).

Included in the delivery was a 3 ring binder of documentation and recovery disks that is the best documentation I have received for custom built computers.

Not the lowest priced but well done.
Everything from initial discussion about details of the build to testing and documentation to careful packing for shipping was done with care and eye to detail.
Very nice cabling and I like the small things like the custom support for the video card. I read a lot of reviews and looked at several other boutique builders before choosing Puget. One small thing I would suggest is they should check the event viewer before shipping and see if any unusual errors and research them so they could supply a response as why they exist.
