"Back in 2005, I bought a really loud laptop computer from a big brand. Since then, I have dreamed of owning a silent computer. Along the way, I bought a cheap Intel Atom powered Asus EEE Box netop computer, but that still made too much noise. After saving enough money, I finally decided to buy a Puget Custom Computer. The Puget Serenity SPCR Edition lives up to its description! It is so quiet, I can hear my CRT computer monitor buzz (that's okay, I'm getting rid of that soon), or my external USB hard drive. If you want a silent computer, this is definitely the place to get it. I was worried that since the system is not fanless, it would still make noticeable noise, but the fans work fine and the only way you can hear noise is to put your ear behind the case (so the only tiny noise I would ever hear is if I'm adjusting cables under my desk). Its terrific to be able to work, read, and study in my home office without any computer noise to distract me. Worth every penny.
Puget was also nice enough to upgrade (at no additional cost) my power supply to 1000 Watts since a smaller unit was not in stock during the building of my system.
Their build check list and status page is very impressive, and they even thermal imaged the machine to check its cooling ability.
Although my system was configured for Windows 7 64-bit, Linux fans should know it works fine when I occasionally use a USB thumb drive loaded with the 64-bit version of Xubuntu (which is compatible with my nvidia graphics card)."
"The computer arrived a week ago, 10 days after I placed the order.When I inspected it after delivery, there was one cable loose on the motherboard. That's not surprising,considering it traveled 3000 miles to get to me.
I have had no problems with the compute.It runs great,quiet and cool.

"Wanted to wait a bit before I wrote this review. Time does fly when your having fun. Well, Its been a year and then some. Wanted to build a nice gaming computer and I have been really happy with this pc. This pc has been hands down stable. Awesome pc from the extremely neat wiring down to the nice binder and back up material that comes with the system. Really helpful on phone from time I ordered it till the day I received it. Bought it to play Aion and since have played Tera Online, and now Guildwars 2. Added another 560 TI and some more Ram to run my 3 27" monitors. This pc is so quiet and powerful. Its almost time now to have them build me some more for my boys getting ready for College. Having reviewed my needs, they pre-rigged my machine for existing hardware I wanted to transfer over once it was delivered which was very cool. "I wanted to provide my feedback on the sales experience I had with Puget Systems over the past two weeks. Like many others who have provided feedback, I have had PCs from mainstream vendors and custom builders for over 18 years, and the quality of both computer product and customer service has varied greatly. In recent days I discovered that getting a computer customized to my specifications has become problematic--most mainstream vendors will only sell a system that is "minimally customizeable". In other words you buy what they have already built. "I got my system from Puget a month ago, so I've had plenty of time to discover issues. There have been none. I'm very pleased with the shopping and purchase experience with Puget. They're responsive, knowledgeable, and take every purpose seriously. These PCs are in a class apart from any name-brand system. Whereas a major mfr might compromise on the quality of a motherboard or power supply, at Puget you pick from pre-selected, top-quality components, and the staff can guide and review your selection. They want you to be really pleased, and it shows every step of the way. You get a full printout of all bench tests along with your system, including BIOS shots (in case you mess up your system). Really smart stuff. You get zero bloatware on the system, and you get a real recovery disc (not a hidden partition). These guys are aces with me.
