"Very professional experience. The sales guy, Jeff, was very helpful in finding me a configuration that worked best for what I needed. The computer came ahead of schedule and works great! I would definitely recommend this company if you need a computer and don't want to deal with all the problems the store brands have."
"Puget is a professional customer oriented company. What originally sold me on the company and why I looked further into it was that they build you a clean system to run at its best out of the box. No ad/trial software to slow down the computer (eat that Dell and HP, that’s why you lost my money).
In building my computer I started with one of their per-configured computers and changed the parts base on what I wanted. Ultimately I ended up with something completely different from the original configuration. I got there by looking an the different parts available and reading about them at my own pace. The reviews were good explanations about the parts and how they fit into the overall system, some had reviews by company employees who gave honest recommendations. They would say why they liked the part or why they didn't and they would even recommend other parts; a few of them disagreed about the value of the part, but I found that informative.
After I finished my original configuration I had it reviewed by one of their techs, Jeff, and he made further recommendations based on what I wanted to use the computer for. The computer is so quiet and fast I can hardly tell its in the room. I only notice it because its such a beautiful machine that I am very happy with."
"I have bought many computers in the past and all have been with the standard mediocre satisfaction, in retrospect that is. I heard an advertisement on the radio one time and it just happened to be at a time when I was considering a new system. I kept my eye on this computer builder for at least a couple of years. I finally went down to their location at the time and they offered me a tour of their operation. It was not very large and overly automated like I sometimes associated with brand name computer builders but I was just extremely impressed with their personal touch and commitment to Quality. Needless to say I was convinced that this is where my next system is coming from. 6 months later I bought my system and I was very pleased to keep my dollars local. My wifes computer will be coming from Puget now also in the near future. I can and will recommend Puget for quality systems. Thanks guys "
"Truly excellent computer system and outstanding customer support.
While performing some research via the internet on gaming computers to purchase for my son for Christmas, I came across Puget Systems. Puget Systems was strongly recommended by industry insiders as well as their customers on various independent review sites as well as their own review site. Upon navigating their web site, I found it very easy, informative and actually enjoyable. I used the configuration tool in order to configure a gaming computer with liquid cooling. Then, I asked for the configuration to be reviewed. Mr. William George responded via e-mail within an hour. He analyzed my configuration and wrote me a detailed e-mail with suggested changes and the reasons why he suggested those changes. My original configuration was priced at $ 5,200, but William reduced it to $ 3,100 while explaining why my configurations had some conflicting and/or duplicative parts that were not desirable or necessary. His configuration was far less expensive and far better! I then researched his advice at independent informational sites. His advice was excellent. The parts/components that Puget System uses and that he specifically recommended are of the highest quality per my independent investigation of such parts. Puget Systems prices are very competitive and better than most. I probably e-mailed William 20 times over the course of two months with some general questions and with many specific questions. He always replied within minutes or hours with thoughtful and detailed responses. William would respond on weekdays, weeknights, weekends and even on Thanksgiving!

I finally e-mailed him with one final question and to let him know that I was going to order the computer. He replied with his answer to my question and also to advise me that Puget Systems was going to offer free shipping for the Holiday season starting in a couple of days, and that he would be happy to honor it in advance. He also informed me that they were going to have a Holiday sale starting in a few days on certain computer systems, so I might want to wait and check out the specific types of systems because I could probably get a nearly identical configuration to my chosen configuration with a 10% to 12% discount. I waited a couple of days and checked the configurations that were newly discounted. I could get the same exact configuration but could not order two items: the specific keyboard and the specific mouse that I had wanted for my son. So, I e-mailed William, and he replied that he would ensure that I got my desired keyboard and mouse. I purchased my chosen computer system for an 11% discount.
The Puget Systems web site allows you to follow the status of the parts acquisition for your computer, build process, testing process and shipping process. The computer was delivered two days earlier than promised! The packaging was outstanding without any damage whatsoever to the boxes or the computer itself. The computer worked perfectly straight out of the box! It is an awesome computer and my son is "blown away" by how fantastic it is. He can play the most intensive computer games including online games at the highest settings without any lag whatsoever. FPS (Frames per second) at the highest setting for games like Age of Conan are 100 to 500 FPS at the highest settings on this monster of a computer! No lag whatsoever at the highest settings: with antialiasing and everything turned up to the max! Other games achieve similarly superb results.
In order to at least provide some semblance of balance to this review, I will now give some "criticisms": but quite honestly, this is really nitpicky stuff and I'm having to dig pretty deep to find any criticism.
1) No set-up instructions except individual component instruction manuals. The reason this is not a big deal is that, in my opinion, by and large, anyone purchasing a custom gaming computer knows how to set up a computer and its peripheral components which are very intuitive to set up.
2) Since there is a large side window in the chassis (a very "sweet" case modification!) and there is some protective wrapping on the inside of the window, I had to open the side of the chassis and remove the wrapping on the inside of the window, then reinstall the side of the chassis prior to turning the computer on for the first time. It was extremely obvious that this had to be done, and it was also extremely obvious as to how to do it, but I think that some folks would be hesitant to attempt to gain access to the inside of the chassis without written instructions stating that they should do it and how to do it.
3) The beautiful Asus 24 inch HD monitor comes with DVI as well as VGA cables to connect the monitor to the computer. However, it does not come with an HDMI cable. I think it should either come with the HDMI cable or the Puget Systems Configurator should have an HDMI cable as an optional accessory within the Video monitor configurator tool. Again, this is not a big deal because as I understand it, DVI is virtually identical to HDMI in terms of its digital video signal quality. The only difference is that if you use a DVI video connection, then you also have to use a separate audio cable connection (which does come with the computer system), whereas if you use an HDMI connection, you do not need an additional audio cable connection because HDMI carries video and audio signals within the same cable.
That is all of the "criticism" that I can muster.
In the final analysis, Puget Systems is an outstanding custom computer company. Mr. William George is an outstanding employee and an outstanding asset for Puget Systems. The computer system is phenomenal in its entirety: it not only meets my high expectations but exceeds my high expectations.
Frankly, I have not been this impressed with a company in my entire life: and I'm a 47 year old neurologist who is trained to be analytical and even skeptical about almost everything.
I must confess that it feels really good to be so impressed by a company and its personnel! It's actually inspiring. Thank you Puget Systems and Mr. William George!

"Puget offered good choices for building a computer, especially allowing me to choose an AMD chip. Their service was excellent as was the build quality of the computer.
Their website is also very well done and informative. "
"My second Puget computer. Excellent components, assembly and testing. High performance and reliabilty. I compared with competitors, but when it came down to putting my money on the line Puget was far and away the best choice."
"I've only purchased custom-built PCs (and Macs) since forever, and Puget was an unexpected pleasure. While I could have customized it, I just went with one of their "standard" systems"; even then they take the time to test it thoroughly and keep you apprised of the progress. When you get it, it's good to go. I did have trouble booting at first and was going to call them for assistance, but it turns out I had a USB HD attached, and for some reason Windows 7 doesn't like that. Not Puget's fault of course, but apparently they take more care when shipping their products than this certain other PNW company does ;) Anyway, this computer made my old xp system sound (and perform) like a pinto trying to rev it's way out of a snowy rut. Puget is a first-class builder. Thanks!"
"Puget was very professional in their handling of my order. Their on-line chat feature was useful. Packaging was excellent -- there was some shipping damage to the outer box, but the inner box was intact and there was no damage to the computer. I suggest that they offer transfer software (either free or for a price) to allow transfer of files and software from the old to new computer. This would save the customer the hassle of researching and purchasing the necessary software and cabling."
"A+
What can I say but flawless service and quality craftsmenship. From the first email I sent to get questions answered on the system I was looking into, to the final shipment of the computer, Puget handled every step along the way with professionalism, very much impressed with this company.
I would highly recommend this company to those looking to get a high performance 3D workstation or gaming rig. As they build your computer you are able to see on your account page which step they are on in the build, also your computer is put through a rigorous stress test, and benchmark phase to make sure that none of the components are faulty and your system is performing as expected. Don't think you could ask for more.

"The folks at Puget Systems are truly incredible. Not only did they build me an excellent computer, without a single hitch, even accommodating my unique requirements, but when it comes to customer service after the sale, they are tops. I have had several issues arise and they patiently helped me resolve every problem, even though my issues were created by me, not by them. I would give them six stars if I could. The best customer service anywhere and the best products."
"I had been wanting to order a computer from Puget Systems for a long time, and finally did. They were very expert, professional, courteous, indulgent and informative. It was the best experience I've had buying a computer, the computer is a delight, very well-built, fast, and quiet.
I later had a question about an issue I had with some hardware I added to the system, and they again lavished me with intelligent attention. These guys are definitely my favorite computer vendors!"
"So far, I'm really happy with my new computer, and overall, my experience with Puget Custom Computers was really great. Their Customer Service is proactive without being pushy, and they're really informative too.
Everything arrived in great shape. I still have to go through all the materials/discs they gave me, but the printouts from all the benchmarks & testing, while neat, aren't of much use to me. I opened up the chassis, and everything is nice & neatly arranged. And although I didn't get one of their "Serenity" machines, I'm maybe 2 feet away from the CPU and can barely hear a thing. Surprised there's no printer port - I assumed that was a given - but that may be par for the course now.
The only negative on all this was the shipping. I understand why their policy is what it is, and that it's all for the right reasons, I just think there's gotta be a better way. I wanted my computer shipped to my work office, and attempted to follow Customer Service's direction on getting a second shipping address added to my card - they told me just call the Customer Service number on the back of my card. Well, they couldn't help me. So, I just decided to have it shipped to my apartment - I live in a large complex with a main office, with staff members to do things like sign for packages. As luck would have it, the monitor I purchased separately was set to arrive the same day, also by UPS. Although the office manager, the guy *in charge* of the complex, offered to sign for both packages, UPS would only leave the monitor. I got multiple stories from UPS as to why, but ultimately it seemed to be because Puget directed UPS that *I* had to sign for this *personally*. So, I had to take time off of work to sit around and wait for UPS to show up - "some time between 9 and 7!" - which was the exact thing I was trying to avoid in the first place. Quite the annoyance."
"I'm very pleased with my purchase from Puget Custom Computers. It began with a visit to their web site when a chat box popped up and a representative asked if he could answer any questions for me. Over the next three weeks we exchanged a series of emails while I compared their systems to other vendors. In the end I went with Puget even though their price was slightly higher. The burn-in test for my custom configuration was to ensure that everything would work, right out of the box, which it did. And speaking of box, the double-box shipping container was unexpected. The inner box which held the computer didn't have a scratch on it. The last thing I'll mention is the lack of "bloatware". No need to endure a bunch of ads popping up trying to sell you something. It was simply a pleasant buying experience."
"If you're in the market for a high end custom pc...look no further this is the review for you! Recently I wanted to replace my laptop that I was using as a desktop of sorts, with a fast, quiet pc. I am fairly particular when it comes to my technology needs, so I ruled out a package pc from the major retailers. So I was off and hunting for a custom pc boutique to put together my dream pc. My requirements were fairly simple. I wanted an ssd for booting, a large hdd for storage, a fast processor and plenty of ram. I'm not a gamer so the graphics card was not that important. Oh...and I also wanted the pc to be dead silent since I'm replacing my laptop. As I researched various custom pc boutiques for months, I found that most out there were pretty much the same as far as cost is concerned. So my focus became customer serivce and the quality of the build. Trust me when I say, hands down you will not find a more thorough quality of build or dissemination of info on the build than Puget. If you don't believe me, just check out their website compared to the other pc boutiques. There is no comparison in terms of the info they provide you about your specific build. Not only can you track the status of your build online, but they also send you the testing results and actual pics of the build...even thermal imaging! They were extremely helpful with all questions I had and simply made me feel comfortable in knowing that I'm getting what I paid for. The shipping, a VERY important aspect in decideing whom to choose since most damage to custom pc's happen here, was top of the line with Puget. First they packed the inside of the pc with a foam material for stability, then they surrounded the pc(packed inside the tower's box) with a custom foam packing material to hold it in place. They then placed this inside there own STURDY box for shipping. The unit arrived in perfect working order. It booted right up with no issues and was DEAD silent, I'm not kidding, this is a huge powerful full tower pc that is as quiet as my laptop. They even included a binder full of info about the build, parts, test results, ect. I can't say enough about Puget...if you're going to spend into the thousands of dollars on a custom pc...go with these guys, you won't be dissappointed."
"Excellent web site, customer service and support. This is the second computer I've ordered from them. They are a bit expensive, but you get a lot of value for your $. Very helpful in configuring a new custom system and they do a first-class job of constructiong the system, using hot glue, wire ties, etc to make the installation very neat. "
