"Earlier this year I started researching for a computer that would meet my need for handling easily very large image files in Photo Shop. I received a recommendation on a photography forum to take a look at Puget Systems computers. I am glad I did!

Like most folks, I have budget constraints, so it was important to me that I obtain the best machine I could afford. I used Puget's online chat and e-mail to ask questions. I ordered my Obsidian Workstation-based PC on April 27. During the testing process, Puget discovered that the mother board was causing the system to lock up. What did they do? Configuring my computer was easy and the Puget Systems website was very helpful and informative. Almost anything you want to know about any component is available, including links to the manufacturers website. Most importantly, after submitting my order, an expert reviewed it to assure all of the components were compatible.

As the order is processed and as the system is being assembled, I was able to follow every step by logging into my Puget Systems account. The technicians follow a detailed and thorough checklist and it was interesting and informative to follow their progress at each step. I first wanted to build a computer, by buying its parts piece by piece on sites for cheaper. But boy was i wrong, about 60% of all the items that came in were either DOA (Dead on Arrival) or defective from the start. Not to mention paying 10-15% restocking fee on about $1,750 on the tower and it's inside component.

So i did alot of digging to find out which company is dollar for dollar, pound per pound, tick for tack company i should go and do business with. I later found out, that companies can be rated by www.BBB.com, and found out that out of all the top company brands "PUGET SYSTEM" was #1, in best Grade rating which is an A+, had less then 2 complaints in the last 36months of May 2009-2011 and a total of 6 complaints in 6+years.

From the start, i spoke to Richard which is one of the admins on the live chat support from 9a-6p M-F. And from the start i wasn't pushed to purchase this or that, but was treated like a human being who is just looking to buy a computer. During my live chat with Richard, i was given advice on what type of computer component would fit my needs, and slowly began my custom built process.

Another thing that i notice is that, Puget System doesn't charge TAX, and saved me $234.13 and shipping is only about 65 bucks. The Computer desktop itself is 22in by 20in by 9in that weights about 50ish pounds. Top shipping company charges about 40+ bucks for that weight. which reminds about 25 bucks left, when i open the box, it contained about 10pounds of cushion, including an air form inside the case, making sure that the component inside is safe from damage. I also received a binder with about 20ish pages, yes 20! pages of test results from my component including the tester's name. They also took a picture of your BIOS and keep it in their system to better help your service if your computer breaks down several years from now. In fact from what i heard in chats, they are willing to give you live support online or by phone if your computer were to act funny for life! which is insanely awesome.

Overall: Let the professionals like Puget System create your computer, they test each component fully, you get lifetime support and free labor. Plus they are #1, spend that extra money on people who really care, and Puget System is that company."

"Wishing to purchase a computer to facilitate my hobbies of still and motion photography, I researched many computer manufacturers over a period of months. I eventually came to the conclusion that a custom computer would be the best fit for my purposes. Puget provided the best pre-sales support and gave me advice to obtain the best price/performance ratio. The computer was built and delivered quickly and it arrived with full instructions to set up and run. The Puget Serenity design is totally silent - only the occaisional buzzing of a hard drive can be heard - otherwise, if the screens are powered down, I have to check the blue light on the computer to see if it's on. One issue that arose initiated a call to Puget's technical support and went straight to a technician - no waiting. However, I subsequently resolved the problem on my own - I left a DVD in the optical drive and Windows 7 would not boot up.
