"I had two quiet systems built by Puget in November 2009, and have now (April 2015) had them build a replacement for one of them. Since our home is very quiet, quiet systems were the objective. My new system, from their Serenity Pro line, is truly silent to my ears, even though the more powerful Pro version is supposed to be a bit louder than the regular version. The only sound I hear is when I use the optical drive, and even that is quieter then usual.
Jeff at Puget was as helpful as last time in working out the specs with me. Between the well-designed on-line tools and the personal advice and assistance, I found I could specify my new system with confidence. The result, both in terms of sound level and system performance, was a total success.
Once you settle on a design you get anxious for delivery. Puget's great on-line progress reporting tools let you know exactly what's going on, and who is doing it. Having bios of each person who worked on my system was a nice way to feel like I was dealing with real people, and not a faceless monolith far overseas.
The system was well-packed and arrived safe and sound, complete with great documentation customized. Set-up went well, and was quicker than I expected. It helped that Puget let me specify the computer name and user name so they arrived as I wanted them, and that they remembered to install cables for the two hard drives I wanted to reuse, so installing them was easy.
Puget's tech support has been outstanding. They spent considerable time with both phone calls and emails trying to diagnose an issue in my five-year-old system. They offered to repair it for the cost of parts, and ship it back for free. However we determined that the issue was most likely the MB, which is no longer available, so repair seemed seemed a poor choice. So I decided to replace the system with a more up-to-date one.
Over the years I've updated my old system with a new Solid State Hard Drive and more RAM, and both cases they offered great help selecting and installing the new components. For the RAM that included calling and talking me through updating the BIOS.
This is the third custom builder I've used, and I'm much more satisfied with that process than using a mass-builder, all of whom offer lousy support in my experience. I tried a local shop, who turned out to think they were much smarter than they actually were. :-( I used another remote builder who produced a totally satisfactory product, but is now out of business. Of the three, clearly Puget is the best I've experienced. They provide a great product and great service at reasonable price. What more could you want?"
"I have only written one other product review in over 20 years but thought it would be appropriate considering the fact that I researched for 2 months and read hundreds of reviews from several sites before deciding where to spend my money on a workstation.
I am impressed mostly by the fact that I recieved a high quality computer at a fair price, built and delivered 3000 miles away on time.
I work for a leading Video Game Production company and am surrounded by people that own high end machines. After hearing of my great experience with my recent purchase many of them commented that they wished they had known about Puget Systems before they bought their workstations.
Within a week of placing my order, I was hooking up my dual monitors and and enjoying a problem free first run with my dream system
Bottom line: these guys deliver on their promises, they know the business of building quality computers and stand behind what they sell.

"Puget is a great company to work with, and their customer service is excellent.
Even though their web site says 'weekends and holidays excluded' when you're requesting a review I actually received responses to my queries on weekends.
The computer was exactly as I had ordered. There was an issue with the second hard drive but they resolved it for me quickly.
I would recommend Puget Custom Computers to anyone looking for a top-notch system."
"This is a terrific company. They are reliable responsive and dependable and most of all care about quality and the quality of your experience with them. I originally was going to order from Dell, but every time I called I got someone in India and could never talk again to the salesmen again. So, I cancelled the order. I did some research and found Puget Custom computers. I don't need a one size fits all box, I need a box for photo editing large files. William worked with me to figure out what graphics card I needed for what I do. I have had some problems and questions since then and they have always been there. I don't hestitate in highly recommending this company no matter what your particular interest is. I had my system as ordered in 10 days from the time of order and everything was working perfectly. Communication with Puget is superb, and I live on the other side of the country in Florida.

"I've had my Puget system, a Genesis I workstation model, for over a month. I've very pleased with the performance, price and construction. The unit replaces a nearly eight year old custom system.
When I began shopping around for a new custom-build, I evaluated about six online vendors and compared prices for a more or less standard rig I had in mind. Puget ranked somewhat low in the comparison, since the other vendors had a wider selection and/or lower total prices. When comparing user ratings of the various vendors though, I decided to give Puget a closer look. Puget stood out in terms of user satisfaction and lack of complaints about DOA systems or those that caused problems after arrival.
There was actually a good reason why the Puget system I evaluated cost more than the other vendor models. The Genesis workstation used higher quality parts, like an Asus Premium motherboard, a liquid cooled heat sink, and an Antec case designed for quiet operation. The price premium all but disappeared once I adjusted the other vendor models for similar parts. Another way in which Puget stood out was the blog and forum section of their web site. Unlike the other vendor sites, they had a good selection of articles explaining the differences in CPU models, the reason why RAID is not really a good option for most users, and a comparison of cases using sound meters and thermal imaging to see which case is best for a given application. I'd highly recommend browsing through their site. Puget is more of an engineering company than just a slap-it-together system builder.
I ordered my unit, exchanged some email with a Puget employee to make sure all options fit my anticipated needs, and then checked the progress of the build on their web site. They track each build with an extensive checklist. You also get benchmark results of your PC, and thermal profiles over time as the unit goes through stress testing. The unit shipped when promised and arrived on the day expected. All in all, about ten days or so from order to arrival.
The shipping box itself was huge, and had a nasty ding on one of the edges. On opening the box, I found that it held the Antec case packaging suspended inside the outer box. No need to worry about the ding, or any rough handling it might receive in shipping. The Antec packaging also suspended the case itself in foam bumpers. I opened the case to make sure there were no loose parts before powering up for the first time. I was pleased by how clean and sparse the interior looked - no tie-wrapped bundle of wires hanging down, clean routing of all wiring and cooling, and all external connectors wired up correctly. The overall layout inside the large Antec P183 case will make additions and upgrades very easy. Definitely not the knuckle-buster of some of my earlier systems.
The PC was quiet as promised, even with modest overclocking and running Prime95. Cooling fan noise is a bit loud when the i7 920 is overclocked to 3.7 GHz and running Prime95, but die temperature stays at 60C. I've settled for a lower 3.2 GHz clock for improved performance and a bare increase in fan speed. More than once I've left the PC running overnight because I didn't notice it was still on!
I would recommend Puget Systems to friends looking for a new desktop system. They have an excellent range of systems, with parts matched to intended system purpose. They don't overwhelm you with pick-a-part menu pages that make you responsible for making sure everything works correctly together. There's plenty of information
on their web site to help you make an educated decision, and they will correspond via email to provide help."
"I have to admit that I had some reservations about ordering from Puget (even thought they have excellent reviews) since I have had bad experiences in the past with custom computer builders. I had planning for over a year and emailing with Wilson (sales) regarding a custom build for a quiet home office computer/HTPC. Wilson was very patient and quite informative with all my questions. The one thing I would probably nitpick on is that I was hoping for a bit more "hand holding and guidance" with regards to parts suggestion. Not that they did anything wrong per se but I'm just that type of person that likes to know why ie. why this part is better over this part. In the end, Wilson provided me with the info and confidence that the build would be very stable, quiet and would meet my needs. Once I placed my order, I was looking forward to the whole process. Rest assured I was able to check every step of the build process. I was also emailed pics of the final build. It took about two weeks from time of ordering to receiving my new machine. Everything was packaged perfectly. Once I got the computer up and running, everything was smooth sailing. Unfortunately, a month and a half later, my hard drive randomly crashed. Brian and Daniel (support) were extremely helpful with trying to diagnose the problem and addressing the problem. It was determined that the hard disk controller just decided to stop working. One of those random accidents. Puget sent me a replacement and walked me through the restoration of the system. Since then, I have had no complaints about my system and can wholeheartedly recommend Puget. They are professional and knowledgeable. They bring to the table unparalleled customer support service in this competitive industry. Sure, their prices may be a bit high compared to Dell but you do get what you pay for: a quality machine that meets your needs and goals along with a great buying experience and superb customer service."
"I began looking at purchasing a new computer system since the early part of last year.
I was not happy at all with Dell any more. I made a decision to buy my system elsewhere this time.
I checked out many companies along the way. I was not at all compfortable having a system built by the various sites I checked out, throughout 2009.
By accident, I came accross Puget Custom Computers.
It was the kind of accident, I would like to see happen more often in my life. :0)
I first contacted Puget Systems in the 3rd quarter of 2009. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Willam. We conversed back & forth over a number of months. I built a few systems at their site over this period of time. William offered some very friendly & very helpful advice on the systems I built at the sie. The system before the one I finally chose was a dual processor system.
William helped me with every aspect of it. He was just great. I spent some time on the previous dual processor system & so did he.
I finally decided it was not quite what I wanted.
At this point I was aware that their was going to be a new processor coming out. The i7 980X. I also heard about the new technology on the way with the usb3 & Sata 6.
I explained to William, I was going to wait until these technologies came out. He was very understanding.
The day came to build the system I wanted. I sent William an email. I built a great system, thanks to Williams expertise & his helpul nature.
I was sending him multiple emails every day.
He always answered them on the same day I sent them. He never pushed me to buy, he encouraged me to move at my own pace, which I did.
After a lot of emails back & forth, I was finally confident in my choice of system build.
I would go to Puget's site & watched in all the stages of the build. They had my account broken into different sections. There was order details, build check-off, Benchmarks & Photos of my completed system from various angles. They even took photos of my system with a heat sensing device, which showed the temp range of my system as it went through heavy benchmarks. Everything I needed to see is there. THey even have a section thats shows where your system is, at any given time, while it is on route to you.
I have never seen such detail, to every stage, on so many levels. I cannot put into words, how much they assured me, not only in words, but by their actions, that this was the place to get a system built!
I thank each & every one at Puget Systems for all you have done!
Willim, you were great! Even post shipment, I send him the odd email and ask the odd questions. He still gets back to me on the same day.
I will be receiving my Puget System, hopefully on Tuesday. I really look forward to it!
I will follow up with this review, once I receive
my EXCELELNT SYSTEM. I know it will be great!
I will definately recommend Puget Systems!

Part 2
My system arrived on April 5. I have never seen anything packaged so well. I think it would have survived a drop off a moving truck. :o)
It was double boxed. Tons of excellent packing material. The inside of the system was also protected with an plastic bag filled with air.
It came with a binder that was truly personalized. It outlined all the steps of the build process & benchmark tests & itemized invoice. The binder even had a image of my system printed on it.
The system itself was fantastic. It was a lot bigger then I thought it was & real heavy. That was ok though. It was a very solid build. They did a great job with the wire placements. Very orderly inside. Started right up when I turned it on. No problems at all. I used the microsoft 160gb ssd drive as a boot drive. Boots up really fast. The i7 980x is something else!
I spoke with tech support on a couple of occasions & they were great. They listened to what I had to say, they did not rush me & they were a pleasure to speak to. It was a great experience!
Puget was great on all levels. Even the small things were a pleasure. The little things, like the binder & other things was top notch! An experience I have not had with a company, in way too long.
I look forward to my next purchase at Puget!"
"I am very impressed with my PC from Puget Systems. First, I can't get over how quiet my PC is. My old PC sounded like a 747 jet engine was on in my computer room. Next, I am very impressed by how neat and tidy the wiring is. As someone with experience in wiring large commercial networks, I appreciate good work when I see it. A lot of people don't realize that wire management is an art, and the folks at Puget have it down. Finally, I was very impressed by their website and how detailed the status of the order is. All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase from Puget, and I will recommend them to all my friends."
"Awesome PC, customized to my taste.
Very happy with purchase and I will recommend to anyone looking for a new computer.

"My shopping experience with Puget Systems has to be among the best, if not THE best, I have had so far.
Starting with the availability and helpfulness of the sales/customer service clerk to receiving the finished product, I found nothing to complain about. Quite the opposite, I was amazed at what a pleasure it was.
I took some time figuring out what I wanted in my computer system. Shortly after I saved my configuration to make some minor changes later, I received a very unintrusive e-mail from one of Puget System's customer service clerks, offering help should I need it. Over the next few days he seemed available for my questions, no matter what time of day I contacted him. He gave me some valuable alternatives to components I had selected, sometimes suggesting a cheaper but better part.
After placing my order, I was able to constantly track how far the assembly of my PC had processed and look at the system's benchmarks.
Once it shipped, I not only received an e-mail about the estimated delivery, but also photos of the finished PC. Oh, those teasers at Puget Systems!
Upon delivery I once again was amazed at how perfect everything was. The PC was everything I expected and more. I runs smoothly and extremely quietly. I also received excellent documentation and great system tools along with the restore DVD.
I'm sure my friends and coworkers are tired already of how I cannot stop praising Puget Systems. I honestly cannot picture me purchasing a PC anywhere else in the future.

"I've spent a few day's with my new Puget Custom Computer. I am very pleased! This is a deluxe experience. If you are shopping for a new system you can not possibly do better than Puget. The best system I've purchased in fifteen years! Excellent customer service, incredible attention to detail."
"These guys are great. Loved the website and customer service that they provided. Top notch company to work with. I bought exactly what I needed and they helped me every step of the way. I will definitely be using them again."
"My experience with this company has been great so far. I was notified with every step of my custom PC, I was able to check the status of the build, and The reps were all super friendly. Even the Technical support is awesome. I vote Puget Systems one million time better than Dell!"
"MULTI-MONITOR: PUGET - THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR ME.
I needed a high-speed computer able to support 4 independent monitors and I am nowhere near computer literate. This is why I decided, after several calls with Dell and HP and other mass marketers, to go for a custom-built computer from a company with decent customer support. While researching the field of smaller companies, I came across Puget's website. To say that I was greatly impressed would be a gross understatement. It appeared to me to be the most informative, honest, and transparent site that I had seen. Furthermore, you can have it built from scratch with only the compatible hardware and software you really want or need. I dropped them an e-mail and it was promptly responded to by Jeff Stubbers. I gave Jeff a call and must have asked him a ton of questions: this would be my first desktop, it would have to support 4 monitors acting independently of each other, and I don't know the difference between a motherboard and a mother-in-law! And what does a video card actually do?
Well, after the first conversation, which was almost an hour, I felt quite impressed. Jeff, very soft-spoken and not aggressive or pretentious in any way, seemed to know his stuff. And that was what I was looking for: a Tech, not a salesman.
I then wrote him a very lengthy e-mail outlining what I was going to use the computer for and with questions on every detail imaginable. I knew I would be spending in the area of two thousand dollars and just to let you know, I am a very cautious buyer....internet and otherwise, and I always research the product and market before I lay down my money. My letter inquired into an enormous amount of detail on every component listed on the build template with so many questions on each component; because I knew very little. I then made an appointment with Jeff for a phone consultation and I am sure he did not even sense that it would be a 4 1/2 hour deal. I was not only impressed with Jeff and the way he answered my questions and advised me on what to get and what not to get, but also with Puget. I felt the honesty and straight-forward up-frontness of the Puget staff as well as Puget policy on customer-support and production quality could not be matched by other companies I had researched. I told Jeff I will make my decision within a week and did just that. I gave Jeff one or two other calls in the meanwhile for answers to more questions that came up. Needless to say, Jeff was very patient with me and not at all pushy to close a sale. These calls were another hour... they are truly customer-oriented. I compared Puget with 2 other companies claiming to specialize in multi-monitor set-ups, and, in taking everything into consideration, Puget came in first.
I have my baby now for 4 weeks and everything works just great and the way Jeff said it would and I am very happy. And the packing was great.
Briefly, i7-860 Quad Processor, 8 GB Ram, 2 low end silent Video cards( no gaming/graphics/ no photo/video editing), 1 TB 7200 rpm HD(free upgrade from 640 GB), Antec P183 case, 650 Watt, 3 fans, DVD-RW, Win 7 Prof.
All of the prior reviews listed below I whole-heartedly agree with and so much of their commentary actually expresses how I feel. All of the extra parts and connectors are included together with manuals and binder, etc. Very professional. Staff is tech oriented. Read their blogs.
The bottom line is this: If you need a custom-built system and also want quality customer support, then really consider Puget. From what I already experienced, I trust them and truly believe that my computer was assembled with the best quality and care of parts and workmanship. Furthermore, in the unlikely event something should go wrong, I feel that Puget would give me the best of customer support in order to correct the problem. I even purchased a Puget shirt.
UPDATE: It has been more than 5 months now since I received my Puget custom-made multi-monitor desktop and I am pleased to report that it is working just fine. I am on it every single day for long periods and it is performing just great. I have it connected to 4 monitors in order for me to facilitate my research and writing. It appears that Jeff properly advised me on the kind of video cards and other components to use. So far so good.
Thanks Jeff and thanks Puget.

"I started researching computer manufacturers again in January 2010. After almost a month I decided on a Puget Custom Computer based upon countless hours of research reading customer satisfaction surveys and visiting various sites to custom build computers and compare price, quality and customer satisfaction. pugetsystems.com is one of the easiest to use sites that offers suggestions regarding components, cases, programs and purchasing considerations. I worked with two sales staff, both very knowlegable, courteous and professional. My system arrived as ordered, on time and without issue. It was better than expected. I have purchased a new computer and a laptop every 3-4 years since 1993. This was one of my best planned and executed purchases and the Puget staff get to take most of the credit. What used to take me a minumum of 8 hours to copy and transfer programs and files took about 2 hours loading programs from CD's and updating them and copying files to a usb drive and onto the new computer. The new system recognised my two printers, my power supply and monitor without a hitch. I will definitely recommend Puget Custom Computers to my friends and family. I already recommended them to the contractor who is building a swimming pool in our back yard."
