"Everything about the purchase, from pre-order questions, to firing up the machine for the first time was absolutely perfect. The bottom line is that Puget Systems builds a great PC, has great communication with customers, and is easily the best place to buy a computer these days. For those of you who have been into custom built PC's for a while, you may remember VoodooPC from before they sold out to HP...Puget is just as good as Voodoo used to be, if not better, and that is saying a lot.

Being able to watch the detailed progress log during the build/testing of your machine is very cool. You really get a sense that a lot of care goes into building your computer, and it is always fun to watch as it gets closer and closer to completion.

I ordered a Core i7 860, HD 5970, 4 gig ram, and the thing is blazing fast, stable, and not loud at all. I have had zero problems, the boot time is very fast, and gaming performance is amazing. This may be the first time I have ever simply taken a PC out of the box, plugged it in, and had EVERYTHING(and I mean everything) work problem free from start-up and through all of my software installation.

The build quality is awesome as well. Open the case and everything is SUPER neat and well put together. Plus its obvious that they do a good job of packing everything for shipping since everything arrived solidly in place.

"I just wanted to let everyone know that would like to have a computer put together, this is the company to call. Although I am not very computer literate I still wanted a PC that would last me for some time. When I called the sales person, Jeff, he asked me just what my needs were and he built me a computer around those needs. He did not try to oversell me; he just really listened to what I needed. Because I am a novice, a sales rep can try to snow me. Not the case with Jeff.
I have had a couple of occasions to call them for help getting to know this new monster. I have spoken to tech specialist Daniel and he was also very courteous and helpful as was Jeff.

"This company is outstanding. It's very nice to know that there's a computer company in the United States that can deliver such high standards, excellent customer service & US based customer service & technical support.

My sales rep, Will, initially spent about 30-45 minutes with me on the phone. He listened to my needs as a photographer & what I wanted in a new system. We discussed every component & made sure that it maximized my needs while not paying for something I wouldn't benefit from, i.e. gaming video cards, etc. He was very patient with multiple questions by phone & email. He remembered me & my system each time I called back.

Their quality control is amazing. It was great to be able to watch daily the process of building my system. They have over 90 quality control steps before the system is shipped. Every port is tested, they even burn a movie on dvd & play it on the optical drive to make sure it's in working order. Believe it or not they even simulate a power outage & return from standby mode to make sure there are no issues.

I'm extremely happy with how the computer performed on arrival. Nothing but the OS on the C: drive. The computer has worked perfectly since it arrived. I can't even hear it. It's 100% silent. I hear the fans on my Drobo external unit now, nothing else.

Dell should learn a lesson from Puget but it's way too late. Puget is a smaller company & it shows in customer service, attention to detail, final product & most of all, making sure the customer gets the custom system that is tailored to their needs.

I question and he gave me answers and advices. He suggested to look at the configuration based on my input and at the end of the line only few items got changed. "I wanted to gift myself with a Win7 replacement for an XP box that was showing signs of age and with one that was better for digital photography.

Browsing the net I visited a custom computer discussion forum that mentioned PUGET SYSTEMS as a source for a Windows computer configured for PhotoShop use.

I wrote up my "wants", and asked for a quote. The price was better than I expected and their advice was spot-on.

I experienced some minor problems and a DOA Video Board. The Video Board was replaced, and a series of phone calls isolated and got me beyond the minor problems.

One of the problems was my choice of a wireless keyboard - I think that it's too directional, if I drop something on the desk between the keyboard and the antenna the signal gets blocked & a lock-up occurs. I went back to wires, thank-you-very-much & all is now well.

Through all this (and on a weekend!) the Puget Systems Sales and Tech Support went out of their way to answer my questions and be sure I was satisfied.

"I had an excellent experience with Puget Systems. From the very first contact via phone, the service rep was knowledgeable and patient. He stepped me through what I needed and answered all my questions openly and honestly. The online ordering was great, I needed my machine quickly and the staff really helped me along. I wanted a professional review of the system I built and I got one via email that same day. The tech also answered a few questions via email and based on their input I altered my order to something that better suited my needs. Puget even offered to source parts that they may not have on their website yet such as USB 3.0 and SATA III controllers if I wanted. The quality of testing was just phenomenal.

They even sent me a Thermal Image of my machine idle and at load...it looked awesome. I got pictures of the machine both inside and out via email. On the Puget website I could track the Testing process!

In real time as the computer went through QA I could see the tests done and what was passed. I've never seen that level of detail from a boutique vendor before, it made me feel connected to the process.

Their staff is also active on their Forums and quick to answer questions and assist their customers.

Thus far the machine is running perfectly, it was extremely well packaged and secured for shipping.The Out of Box experience was superb. I would highly recommend Puget not just for buyers looking for a boutique Enthusiast machine, but for regular users as well who want a very well built machine with Off The Shelf parts.

One of the beauties of this system is that I know everything can be replaced from retail, and there is nothing proprietary (a big problem with Dell/Alienware for example).
