"Overall I think they did a great job. When its time to upgrade my laptop and get a new media center PC, I will be using Puget Systems. Their best asset by far was their customer service and knowledge of systems. Their website was very informative and allowed me to educate myself quite a bit. I customized a base system and sent the specs with about 2 pages of questions. I received a response with answers to all my questions in lest than 3 hours. More impressively this was on a Saturday during Memorial Day weekend. They helped me pick the right components for my needs, answering questions throughout the process. The system came and installed no problem and things seem to be working great.

Only negative was it appears they keep fairly limited stock of some items so there were a few delays in getting my system put together and it took about 2 weeks from order to delivery. It was worth the wait and these guys know how to do business."

"I've been building my own systems for 20 years, but when my latest system failed while I was undergoing cancer treatment, I knew I wasn't up to the hassle this time around. Because I'm extremely particular (I wanted a silent system that worked well for voice recording, graphic design, and business use) I wasn't sure I'd be able to find someone who could build a system to my specs. But Puget Systems had all the options I needed -- they even let me specify the type of thermal compound I wanted! William called to discuss my order and "talked me down" from a few items where I didn't need the expensive options I had chosen. He helped make sure I was getting exactly what I needed. He also quickly understood my experience level so that I didn't get "talked down to." He even made sure that the build people knew what components I'd add to the system after receipt, so that it was easy for me to install them.

Build time was fast; they really respected that I was "out of business" until I had a replacement system. The system was very well packaged, arrived quickly, and worked. I loved the box of extra stuff that included the leftovers from the build, because I wanted to use many of those pieces (most custom PC houses don't give you that stuff). When I had a problem (not due to any error on their part) they quickly responded with a proposed solution.

Are they the cheapest? Maybe not, but I felt I was getting a good value, as well as good service. I was able to specify options that most computer suppliers don't offer, which was the most important thing for me. I ended up with a very quiet system that has all the power I need, in record time. "I have only had my new computer for a day, so this review is necessarily preliminary. However, my first impression is that Puget is very good.
When my Dell died suddenly last month, I decided to investigate having a computer custom built. I was not able to get a recommendation for a good local builder, I went to the internet. I looked at a large number of custom computer builders and Puget's website was the easiest to follow. Also I had consulted with a friend who builds computers for his own business (but, unfortunately, not for others) as to what brands of components I should be looking for and those brands were, for the most part, what Puget sells.
As for the purchasing experience itself, Puget did what they said they would do, in fact beating their "ship by" schedule by a day. The computer arrived well packaged and ready to hook up to my monitor, keyboard & mouse. I reiterate that this is a preliminary evaluation based on one day's use, but my first impression is very favorable and I would do business with Puget again hould the need arise."

"This is my second computer from PugetSystems. I really like the ability to customize with top-notch parts. I received this computer about two weeks after ordering. Unfortunately, the hard drive had become dislodged during shipping and was clattering around inside. I suspect the drive had not been screwed to the chassis during intial assembly. The repair technician was very polite and UPS picked up the repackaged computer the next morning. I received the repaired computer about 10 days later."

"My old PC was getting a bit long in the tooth for today's games and other demands so I started looking around at various venders. After extensive research I decided to give Puget a try, even though I had reservations about purchasing a PC online from a custom computer vender. And am I ever glad I discovered Puget.

First, I sent an email to their sales department with a some questions I had. It was answered shortly by Wilson, who gave a thoughtful and reasoned answer to each of my questions. Wilson seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had all the info I asked about in order to make an informed decision.

Next, I modified a few of the features on the high end gaming rig and submitted it for review and input. Imagine my surprise when Puget made a few suggestions that ended up saving me over $400 by helping me scale back some of my choices to better fit my needs! What other company does that?

After I placed my order, it took just a few days to get in a couple of parts that they didn't have in stock. After that, I got to watch the entire build and test process online as each step was checked off. The benchmarks were then posted and the machine was shipped.

It arrived in excellent condition, securely packaged and double-boxed. It contained all the extra hardware and software that you would have if you had built it yourself, all neatly packaged in a separate box. I was pleased to see a Windows XP pro installation disc and manual, as well, and not some system restore CD instead. The case is a Lian-Li with a side window and I could see at a glance that all the cables were nicely routed and tied, so airflow would not be a problem.

When I fired it up everything worked except the sound and the USB ports in both the front and rear. An email to support was quickly answered by Daniel who determined that a cable from the front sound and USB jacks may have come loose, which would cause all the sound and USB ports to quick working. His email even included a board layout attachment and directions to the cable and connector I was looking for. Lo and behold, the cable was a little loose so I gently seated it in and everything now works great.

I would not hesitate to purchase another system from Puget and have recommended them to a couple of my work associates who will soon be in the market for new PC's themselves. They are quite impressed with my own experience. If you need a new PC, look no further than Puget. You will be glad you did.
