"Most professional. Immediate response to every question. A real pleasure to do business with. I recommend them to anyone thinking about a custom computer."
"I searched around quite a bit before buying a home computer. Because of the features I desired, the only way to make it work for me was to go to a custom builder. The process with Puget was great. I got attention from the beginning with the person who helped me create my order to best fit my needs. They gave me specific recommendations on products and promptly answered e-mails. I rec'd my machine timely and well packed. After installing it, some software that I did not get from Puget caused some problems with the machine. Tech support was very helpful for something that was not their fault at all. They walked me through what needed to be done and I am no expert with computers. All in all, a very positive experience."
"The purchasing experience I had with this company has been outstanding. I was kept informed regarding the status of my order and could track that information online. When the computer arrived it was well packed and included all information needed to get started. Jon and Richard were the greatest...would definately recommend this company to anyone looking for personalized attention and a fantastic system."
"The best way to buy a custom computer. Communications, knowledge, and workmanship are all top notch.
System was delivered on time and operates flawlessly.
I would not hesitate to redirect anyone buying a PC for any use. Puget Systems stands out in a time when most companies have gone the other way.
Nice Job and kudos to Puget Systems.

"Puget is the best place to get a pc period. I looked into other areas before I decided to go with Puget but their quick response to my questions and their guidance in actually helping me choose the best pc to fit my needs was exeptional. My pc arrived in perfect condition and was ready to go right out of the box with all the software installed. Step aside Dell because Pujet is in da house."
"I’ve been living in the relatively sheltered world of Apple Computer for the past ten years and for the most part it was a very pleasant and stress-free experience. Therefore, after learning that a new research project I was to embark upon required the services of software that existed as a PC-only product I felt more than a little dread with the prospects of shopping for a new Windows-based machine. Several weeks of research showed that dealing with any of the big box computer companies could be a bit (or more than a bit) of a crapshoot. In addition, after many discussions with co-workers, I determined that a small-footprint machine (for moving between labs) employing an AMD processor would best suit my needs (I do a lot of chemical structure modeling). These two requirements eliminated many computer suppliers right off the bat.
While reading a forum that was primarily a repository for vitriol against a certain boutique computer manufacturer (no names please) the name of Puget Custom Computers frequently came up as an excellent alternative to both the well-known boutique and big box stores. A quick trip to this site confirmed that Puget’s customer satisfaction rating was consistently superior.
That was enough for me, so I spent the next several days putting together a number of hypothetical systems. After listing my requirements and restrictions and a mock-up of my system I sent an e-mail to Puget’s website. I received a response from Richard the next day with numerous suggestions and advice about components that might better serve my needs. At no time did I feel pressured to buy any particular item, and indeed some of Richard’s suggested choices were actually less expensive that my initial picks. After a series of back and forth e-mails (Richard was very patient with my numerous questions) over the course of a week I finally settled on a machine and hit the “Buy” button.
My machine showed up 10 days later-6 days to build and 4 to ship. Pretty quick considering I live in south Florida. The system was fairly well packed in double boxes and styrofoam peanuts, but evidently it was not enough and it had suffered from the not-so-tender attentions of UPS. Alas, my machine was DOA. An hour on the phone with Paul (another one of the nice folks from Puget) did not result in an immediate solution, so it was RMA time. The machine was shipped back to Puget (at their expense) where it was determined that a short circuit between the case and the mother board (evidently due to uninsulated mounting pins) was the cause of the trouble. Another week passed and I got my machine back-the day after Katrina skimmed by us. Shipping was again at Puget’s expense.
This time everything worked properly and for the most part the machine has chugged along very nicely ever since. The machine does structure modeling very well and runs the software without a hiccup. It’s very fast as well. The small footprint came in handy during hurricane Wilma (we were right smack in the middle of it). I was able to put it in a tote bag and take it to a safe location. Unfortunately, in the past several weeks I have encountered new problems-nothing major, but irritating nonetheless. First the USB ports on the front of the machine died. The front Firewire port followed shortly thereafter. I still have duplicate ports in the back, but access is a problem at times. The CD burning software also started to become balky and eventually caused several freeze ups. Reinstallation seemed to solve this problem as it has not recurred in the past several weeks. At times the on/off button doesn’t seem to make positive contact and the button has to pushed repeatedly to get the machine to come on. I have not contacted Puget about these problems because for the present they are merely annoying and have not caused any work stoppages. At this point these difficulties don’t warrant having to ship the computer across the country again.
From the overwhelmingly positive reviews people have provided on this site it is obvious that the troubles I’ve had with my machine are anomalies. To Puget’s credit they fixed the most serious problem promptly and at no cost to me. I am not sure where these problems originated. Maybe things slipped through Puget’s testing process. It could be they were all caused by UPS dropping the box and shaking things loose. I just don’t think a three month-old computer should be acting up already.
Note that my rating is based solely on this one experience. Since my purchase I have recommended Puget to several other computer shoppers and I know at least one of them went on to make a purchase with them. My wife will be in the market for a new laptop early next year and I am urging her to consider Puget. Indeed, I would still unhesitatingly buy a system from Puget.

"I am totally impressed with my Puget Systems experience. I have always been very guarded about giving praise, but these people deserve it. Knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful people top to bottom. I needed a power systm, multimedia and game oriented, that was above all, QUIET. My expectations exceeded. Outstanding product delivered promptly and with a creator's concern. I can and will recommend Puget Systems to anyone. (Gee, I sound like a comercial, don't I--but it is genuine)."
"An excellent experience from beginning to end. Choosing all the components for my system was quick and easy, even when I didn't know much about computer parts, thanks to Puget's pre-selected component lists and detailed product information. It was also very helpful to save/email my configuration to view later. Once I placed the order, a Puget rep got in touch with me the next day to approve the system (they are very good with making other recommendations for you or answering questions) and I received my new computer the following week. Everything came with the system in one tidy package, including extra cables, software discs and anything else that you would normally get if you were to build the system yourself. I highly recommend Puget."
"My experience is speaking as someone who received their computer a couple of weeks ago and is still working out issues. I bought a computer from them because I had heard certain larger companies had gone downhill in terms of product quality and customer service. I bought from this company at higher prices than what I would have paid on my own on the premise that they had thoroughly researched the items they were selling and that I would get timely and helpful customer service. I do not find the ease of use for my hardware to be what I would have expected, plus they charged me for software that I found out today they don't actually even sell -- I didn't notice that the burning software I had was the crippled OEM version and not what I had paid for until I tried to burn an unsupported CD image format. I pointed this out and the person said they did not actually sell that software which confuses me then as to why I could have bought it. They did not offer me a refund, which I am now explicitly asking for.
In reference to the components, There are minor annoyances with the BIOS - it was locking up on one option. That was fixed with a bios update but the bios update program tells you the update failed even when it succeeded, which is really scary at first. The windows based overclocking software that came with the motherboard hung on a near clean XP install. Software I used perfectly with previous computers running XP will not rip back audio CDs burned on the same computer, which strikes me as odd and potentially highly aggravating later. That same program would do digital rips on that computer with an older drive but actually has to play the audio on this newer drive which is really irritating. I hope that can be worked out but guessing it probably can't be.
The TV tuner I bought doesn't currently have software support for features I wanted and I want to return it but its been a couple of days and I haven't heard back which doesn't seem to go with email being a timely form of customer service. This is seeming like more of a hassle than it's worth (literally.) I just wanted something that worked without having to do too much tweaking. That won't be possible for the TV tuner but everything else should just work well. To be fair I did my own OS install but I sincerely doubt that has any bearings on the issues I've been having beyond not having Windows Media Center for the TV tuner. I have not brought up all of these issues because some seemed minor for what I needed but it feels like it's beginning to pile up. This is mostly a word of warning that things might not work wonderfully out of the box like they seem to for everyone else, maybe things will pan out, maybe not."
"An excellent site for a custom built computer.
Good information not normally found such as descriptions of hardware components and recommendations. Email correspondance provided to answer any questions. As a newbie to ordering a custom built PC, it helped answer many of my questions. However I think it missed the boat on the questions that I didn't know to ask. I provided a lot of detail of how I was going to use the PC and why I had initially configured it the way I did, but I didn't get much feedback about that information. I did get good feedaback about the questions I asked directly.
When they reviewed my initial configuration, they missed the fact that I had included a 7-in-1 card reader which has 3.5 floppy drive and a separate 3.5 floppy drive. I caught the error before I ordered and as it turned out it would not have mattered anyway since I decided against the 7-in-1 card reader.
I had a couple of major problems when I received the PC and we (Puget and me) couldn't figure them all out. The PC kept crashing without warning. No blue screen of death, nothing but power down without warning and no recovery. They had me swap the memory sticks around, which seemed to resolve the problem for a day or two and then it started all over. In addition the DVD ROM drive did not work. After a week of frustration and being ready to toss the thing in the trash, I returned it to them. They paid for shipping. Two weeks later I got it back. It has been up and running for 3 days with no problems (knock on wood).
I got no explanation of the what the problems were other than a note on their repair board that they replaced the power supply and the DVD ROM and I got a package with a USB jumper cable it it when the PC was returned.
Would I buy from them again? - The jury is still out. I need more than 3 days to have any confidence in this PC beast.
It still apeals to me not to have to deal with proprietary hardware from Dell, Gateway or HP and the service response has been quick although frustrating at times because I am not comfortable mucking around swapping memory sticks or changing out DVD ROM drives. I think I would probably look a little closer at some of the local mom and pop shops next time."
"thank you guys for being so prompt, helpful and honest. you have helped me create the mobile production studio of my dreams! i could not be happier with my machine! you rule! i will recomend you to all of my friends and i will be back when it is time for me to upgrade my desktop as well! thanks again."
"When I noticed that my order had arrived in my home town, but wasn't scheduled to be delivered, I ran out to the shipping destination and picked it up myself! I was just that anxious to get my Puget system.
Let me say that every bit of time and patience was well worth it. I got my system fast (although waiting was still agony :))As I unpacked the system, I knew that this was the quality and skill I had come to expect from Puget.
Absolutely beautiful. And a breeze to set up and be surfing the net in a matter of only 30 minutes.
I type this review on my new system at this very moment, the first of many experiences I expect to have with this great machine.
Thank you Wilson, thank you Jon, and all the rest at Puget. You really have outdone yourselves.
Ordering was very easy, and everything right on the line.
I recommend Puget Custom Computers to anyone in the market for the very best. I'm sure that you, like me, will not be disappointed.
Thank you again."
"Purchased a computer last October, paid a premium for the system because of the good reviews on sites like this. It ran until February when the motherboard died. Recently had the same motherboard they replaced fail, system was 13 days outside of (original) warranty. After consultation with the owner he came up with a number of scenarios to fix the system, I decided to RMA the board myself. Computer was nice enough, overall very good support while under warranty."
"Excellent service from this company! From the very first that I came upon them doing a search on the web I was impressed with their level of service and professionalism. I was considering a Dell and did a lot of comparison shopping and found their price a bit higher but for the service and guarantee of quality parts I felt it was well worth it.
The fact that you can specify details like your power supply, hard disk (brands), etc. made the whole experience much more a feeling of customization to my needs as well a knowing exactly what was going into my new computer.
Their on-line review of your computer design was very effective and I even consulted on the phone with one of their techs. He was able to give me a better configuration at even a CHEAPER price!! Tell me, where and when does this happen nowadays.
I was able to access the status of my computer build through the various steps, including testing. When I saw that the processor was delayed a day I contacted them to see if they could make the delivery date (I needed it shipped to a hotel and was leaving a day after the proposed delivery). They assured me they would make it and they did.
NO SURPRISES with Puget Custom Computers and something that is sorely lacking today CUSTOMER SERVICE and quality of work.
When I got my computer I plugged it in, did my installs and now have a computer I am really proud of and that supports all my high end needs.
I would definitely go with them again with no hesitation. I am considering buying a laptop from them too.
You won't be disappointed with these guys!
Tom"
"Thank God I didn't buy a Dell!!
Puget Custom Computers is truly the best. We loved working with Puget because they're honest, efficiant, and true their advertisment. This day in age, it's impossible to actually talk to a human when calling most any business. I called Puget when initally getting my computer and was instantly connected with the support staff, no answering machine or perpetual dialing system... it was great. I recomend Puget Custom Computers to everyone!!! "
