"I believe Pugets high rating is warranted. Although a now replaced phone system sent me to voicemail a few times, the staff quickly picked up the ball and ran with it. I had a tight deadline for delivery, and after working with them to select the fastest available components, they delivered a unit exactly to my specs. Everything worked like clockwork. I admire the amount of personal responsbility that the telephone contacts offered to a customer. It appears clearly to me that their staff is empowered to solve customer problems and aren't just phone order takers. I don't know if they are the absolute cheapest vendor, but they do offer a comfortable margin of safety when buying expensive equipment sight unseen. 1) I submitted a configuration from their easy to use website on a Saturday, and 11am on Sunday I received a response from a customer service representative regarding suggestions on improving my system, which actually reduced the cost of the original submission. I then responded with a question at 9.50pm and received my answer from the same person at 11.30pm. My subsequent queries were answered very quickly in the same fashion
2) They have a customized order page that summarizes everything about the unit, from all email communications, to the status of the build (part available / not, part ordered from vendor (includes shipping number for tracking), part assembled, tested, complete) so I knew exactly the status of my order at any time

"Puget is an excellent company that is fanatical about quality but charges reasonable prices.
I got a high end Xeon system for video editing. Two hard drives, two processors, two DVD’s ECT.

Its vary vary stable and quiet! AND FAST!!! They used 120mm low noise fans and high end 60mm fans and heat sinks for the two Xeon’s. All the components where high quality!! No junk at all! Everything is A+.

They will customize anything for you! And let you chose, even explain the differences with no sales pressure! And the price?
The same as a dell with lower grade hardware, little choice and lower grade support. These people rock! I’ll be buying from them again! The best Iv ever seen at this price range.

"These guys are with out a doubt one of the best custom pc builders. I have been a pc gamer for about 6 yrs. and I get a new system every year, so I feel qualified to make that statement. I have had systems from all of the usual suspects and had issues with all of them. Granted some companies took care of these issues,but it was still a negative and some did not. With Puget I have not had any issues at all. There web site is very user friendly, they responded to my emails promptly and accomodated a special request on my build. There claim of building a system in 3-5 days was right on the mark as I had mine in 7 days(there was a weekend in the middle). If you want a system in the same calibor as a Voodoo or Falcon-NW at 1\4 of the build time and for less money (Hell yeh) then Puget is the place to go. "

"Having decided to purchase a new gaming system, I did an extensive search on the web at as many custom computer companies I could find. Some (Digital Storm, Alienware) had what appeared to be very good financial deals going on at the time, but I came across a lot of complaints about the quality of their products and service. Others (Falcon West) were beyond my budget and don't give you the flexibility to construct a slightly less high-end package. Puget appeared to offer the best combination of price, customization/flexibility, and quality. Their customer service also was given extremely high marks. They hit all of these marks--not to mention speedily--on the money.

As for how it went, I put in for a quote of what I thought I wanted in a system on May 1st. I got emailed back later that evening with some feedback. I e-mailed with one of their techs a few times during the next two days until I arrived at a system that met my budget but had strong performance (I didn't feel like I was been "sold to" but rather "responded to"). I definitely learned a thing or two about gaming components in my exchanges as well.

I placed my order on May 3rd, and they began ordering parts that night (you can track your computer's progress through acquistion, assembly, and testing--nice feature). They gave me an estimate of May 10th for shipping and that's what happened. I got it (UPS ground, two days, only $31 bucks!) on the 12th. A very fast turnaround! Great for me cause I'm not particularly patient.

The computer has been running terrfic except for one minor glitch that has been showing up on boot (about one every ten boots). That glitch accounts for the "9" rating as opposed to "10", but once again the techs over there have been very responsive and have been helping me troubleshoot. I guess you can't really expect perfection, but it can be expected that the company will help correct whatever might go wrong. Puget definitely takes pride in what they do and how they do it.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the service, product, and support I've got from Puget. I would recommend them STRONGLY to anyone looking for a custom computer and will definitely buy from them again myself down the road.

"I had spent about three weeks looking for a mid to high end PC at a reasonable price, building a slew of virtual PCs, online, before stumbling across the Puget Custom Computers web site.
