"Let me start by saying that I've been building PC's for years. As you can imagine it was difficult for me to wrap my head around paying the extra money to have them build, test & install my system. Anyway it was time to upgrade my last build and I called Puget and spoke with them about my needs and concerns. I worked with Oscar who assured me that many of their clients are just like me: totally capable but time constrained.
After looking at the actual cost difference I decided to give them a shot! All I can so is that I'm so glad that I did!
I was involved throughout the whole process. The status updates, thermal images and pictures of my computer made the process a joy. The only thing I did miss out on was the actual building the machine but honestly I've built enough computers in my lifetime...
So what's the big deal right? Anyone can put together a machine right? Yes it's true but Puget Systems really goes the extra mile. From the burn in testing to bench marking to thermal imaging under load. Every aspect of the system is meticulously completed and the build steps were presented and checked off every step of the way.
What really put me over the edge with just how much they care is the binder that's included in the accessories which is a complete build log of the system.
I saved a ton of time by having them complete my build but I got a whole lot more than just a computer. I now have a relationship with a company that truly cares about their customers and the products that they create.
Thank you guys very much!

"Puget Sound Systems has outstanding customer support, follow up, knowledgeable and personable. Recently purchased a workstation customized for Premiere Pro CC. We initially had configuration questions and was able to easily talk to someone over the phone. Extremely happy. It's the quietest system we have installed."
"Want a system build from weird proprietary stuff ... then go buy a DELL. Want components that are identifiable, stress tested and that follow industry standards? Then buy from Puget.
I had them build a huge 12 TB central file server for us way back in 11/2009. It ran 24/7since then and really it was a disk drive failure which isn't surprising. Well the old workhorse started having issues and the replacement just arrived and is working like a champ. No one warrants their builds or puts them through stress tests like these guys.

"Simple and straightforward. Puget Systems' website has all of the statistical information about DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro's performance, as it pertains to the current technology. Essentially, you know what you're getting before making an investment and that can help you decide, where to save money or invest more into GPU, RAM, processing power, etc. The breakdowns on performance are first-class and something you don't just find by "googling it". My purchase focused around the aforementioned software as I am a video professional. A quick glance at their site reveals the same in-depth information on other software.
At the present, I am using both NLE's as I begin to migrate away from Premiere and to Resolve. I wanted a machine that could tackle both NLE's and of course make use of the two G-Technology Shuttle XL, Thunderbolt 2 hard drives that carry all of my video content. Thunderbolt 2 and Windows had posed itself as a challenge with my previous, January 2016 Windows build from another well-known and reputable computer manufacture. That's the short story of the challenge. About to give up on the Windows workflow and return to Mac, I discovered Puget through an online search. On my initial call with the Puget rep, the call was answered promptly and I explained my Thunderbolt 2 connectivity issues and he was well aware of the problem and even had insight to share. That's when he said Thunderbolt 3 was what Puget used and with a third-party TB 3 to TB 2 adapter, their engineers experienced successful connectivity in their testing. I trusted what he had to say and made my purchase.
The day after my purchase, I remembered I still had the GPU from the previous computer build and wanted to know if I could use it in this system to give me a total of 3 GPUs. The rep advised against three in my setup, because of resource limitations with my specs. He said he could save me money on my build, if I wanted to use my existing GPU as the second GPU in the system. He credited me back the difference of 1 GPU in my setup and I sent my GPU up to them to install and test with the rest of the system.
During the build process, your online account is regularly updated showing you the status of your build. This was piece of mind for me as I could look daily to see updates. After one week my unit was shipped and arrived earlier than expected. I attached my TB 3 - TB 2 adapter, downloaded the G-Technology drivers and the Shuttle XL's immediately booted up and mounted to the desktop. Even when restarting and powering up the computer from a shut down, both daisy chained drives power up and mount to the desktop. STABILITY ACHIEVED!
Lastly, the components used to build this machine are rock solid. I had to open the case up on arrival to install existing SSDs. They pre-wired everything, so I could just fasten the drives to their caddies and plug the drives in. Comparing the components and build to my previous unit from another manufacture, the parts seem almost industrial or commercial grade, compared to consumer grade, if that makes sense. The other system was well designed and nice in it's own regard, but there's a noticeable difference. Plus, I added the very inexpensive sound dampening material to my order to insure a quiet running machine. You don't know the computer is running and the padding they used is very, very well made.
Thank you. "
"Puget is a straight foward workstation system builder who does the testing and R&D to make an impeccable system.
the system is a configuration that is certified as a Puget Deluge Pro. From sales, tech.,packaging and fast delivery, simply the BEST Company. "

"I purposefully held off reviewing the two computers I bought over 2 years ago until now because a) unless utterly doa, most new things work well initially, and b) one of the computers wasn't used until now (long story, not directly relevant here). I have been very impressed all along the way. The sales rep that I worked with, Jeff, was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions, comments and changes. Since then, one of the computers has worked continuously and very well at a hardware level, but there were some minor hiccups having to do with Windows and other software configuration issues. At those times, the technical support staff have been easy to work with, reasonably available -- meaning usually within immediately - 1 hour of initial call --and even spontaneously did outreach at the 6 month mark to make sure the computers were still working well and offering to go through a checklist to make sure it was. I've never heard of any company, much less a computer maker, providing such a service. In a certain sense, this is a welcome throw-back to years past when service and customer loyalty meant something. I also have no doubt that in a month, when I plan to upgrade, they'll be available to talk me through putting the new parts in. As for the computer that wasn't used until now, I had upgraded it to Windows 10 about a month after receiving it and then put it away until now. When I finally got it back out, it booted right up with no problems and seems to be doing just fine. So while Puget Systems is a lot more expensive than either buying the parts and assembling oneself or buying from a computer assembler (much less the Dells of the world), the start-to-current experience has been completely worthwhile. When/if I need the next computer which hopefully won't be for another few years, I will definitely go to Puget first. (In fact, I tried to do so when recently buying a laptop, but they don't make those anymore.)"
"Best ever from start to finish. Helpful advise and project tracking to keep you in the loop. Highly recommended. "
"My excitement began at the prospect of finally actually ordering a system rather than browsing the possibilities on the Puget Systems website, which I had been doing occasionally for six months. Originally I was looking for a system to replace our Dell Precision workstation that serves a database server for our point of sale system. We had spec’d a service contract with the system so that we would be covered in the event of a major disaster. Well, the disaster did occur and the short story is that the service we received was a nightmare. That was when I started searching for most reliable PC builders and found Puget Systems.
I will admit that some of my peers that also use CADCAM jewelry software suggested that I look into systems using AMD CPU’s and built by popular gaming computer suppliers and I almost pulled the trigger on a system from a California based outfit until I looked at reviews, mostly negative, on BBB website. Thankfully I made a call to Puget Systems and spoke with Oscar who was able to assure me that the Obsidian system that I spec’d would more than meet my needs. After tweaking the build a little adding two Samsung 850 Pro SSD’s in Raid 1 and upgrading to the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Blower Edition, I was ready to put down the plastic.
Then began the most exciting part of the whole process...checking the status of MY build! I am so blown away by the documentation and status update system that these folks have put in place (wish we could implement something similar in our custom jewelry design business)! I am almost embarrassed to admit the number of times I logged into my account to see what had happened since the last time I checked! Then the happy day arrived when I got my shipping notification and tracking number!
On the day my system was supposed to arrive, I did not see the FedEx driver all day and we were getting close to closing time, so I called FedEx to see if they could help out, which apparently they could, as the driver walked in while I was on the line with the Customer Service department! Finally, the unboxing! What a pleasure that was, as the folks at Puget Systems did not cheap out on the last details! Double boxed and foam protected, with a very nocely packaged System Information book with complete history of the build with photos and benchmark info, as well as a boot drive(USB) and CD. I decided to to set it up at my office so that I could begin loading the various softwares that I require to work from my home office before I brought it home to replace the laptop setup I had at my desk.
All of the setup and installation of software went very smoothly and quietly and I began putting the machine through its paces by loading a few large .3dm files and opening up Matrix (Gemvision) to see how it performed.Thumbs up2 is all I can say! Photoshop and Lightroom were easily running smoother than my ASUS ROG that I have in my office at the store. I also treated myself to a 28” HD monitor which makes a tremendous difference.
So, I would like to thank all of the many talented individuals that were involved in the building of my Puget Obsidian...Oscar, Jeff, Kelly,Ashley, Ken, Josh, Kari and Alicia, who took my call and prompted me to write this review. I would highly recommend this company to my colleagues and friends!

"Everything about my dealings with Puget was an absolute pleasure and even exceeded my expectations. The workstation is as quiet as the proverbial church-mouse. Now I have to listen to the obnoxious ticking of my clock. I love it."
"Puget's products are way more value for the money than commodity computers, and as custom builders they put the customer before the vendor - there are other good custom/pro shops out there, few and far between, but most of them are a bit more focused on moving the newest and shiniest products that suppliers are pushing. Puget's focus is clearly on thoroughly vetting components and systems to make sure the customer has the best experience possible.
Puget deals with its customers 1:1 every step of the way: they get to know your requirements and are very conscientious about not selling you what you don't need, and that's very important when buying high-performance equipment. They worked with me to get the right balance on my new machine, which is at the very high end, and helped me avoid getting into technologies that are too close to their end-of-lifecycle as well as those which are too close to the bleeding edge to be reliable. And that approach meant that I wound up with a system whose performance exceeded my expectations at a reasonable price. Without their help I would have put together a box that cost a lot more and had lower performance.
When I say I've bought "two and a half" computers from Puget, it's because a couple of years ago I was weighing an upgrade against getting an entirely new system: they didn't hesitate to help me get the best bang for the buck, which turned out to be an upgrade. Again, they always put the customer first.
When I need my next computer, there's no question about where I'll go.

"They put a lot of attention to the details required to build a robust system that’ll last for years. Bravo!"
"This first experience with Puget Custom Computers showed me that they live up to the great reviews I had read before I placed my order for a new computer. I was happy to see work begin very soon after the order was placed and very pleased that they kept me informed in a detailed manner about their progress up to the time it was boxed and moved to their shipping area for pickup by FedEx. I am very pleased with the new desktop computer and quite amazed at how quiet it is compared to my prior desktop computer. I commented to my wife that the new desktop computer with two SSDs is ever more quiet than my small Sony Vaio notebook computer that also has a SSD -- can hardly hear either computer in a very quiet room. I will definitely be returning to Puget Custom Computers before the end of the year to order a new desktop computer for my wife. To put how I feel in just a few words: I cannot imagine a better computer purchase experience."
"I've purchased many computers since my first Apple IIc in 1984. The purchasing experience with Puget Systems was unlike any before. This company is on the ball! From answering pre-sale questions through the order, build, shipping and follow-up, their customer service has been stellar. Once ordered, they send you a link where you can follow along on your custom build from parts acquisition to assembly, testing, inspection and shipping. You even see photos and short bios of the people working on your system and assisting with customer service. You're assigned a point-of-contact person from the time of sale through delivery. After delivery, I was contacted to make sure my initial experience with my system was positive and to let me know they were there to answer any questions and help. My new system had a rather bright light-bar on the front showing power LEDs and a disk activity LED. I asked if there was a way to dim or turn off the display. While the motherboard didn't have that feature, they ordered up a set of black-out strips from Amazon and had them shipped to me, which worked perfectly. If you're looking for a system that's a step up from the norm or have specific needs to meet the applications you use, these are the folks to check with. They're not cheap. You're buying quality and service. I recommend them most highly."
"These guys know their stuff. I bought a 4K video editing system from them and they were right with me every step of the way. That included listening to my feedback on improving their manual and taking it seriously.
I love the idea that in the future Puget Systems will offer customers a menu of (free) software add-ons---such as Quicktime for the video industry---that they will be able to choose from and have on their systems out-of-the-box. I hope they implement this idea, as it will provide even more value for the same price to customers like me. "
