"Couldn't be happier with my new system. Since I knew what I needed and how much I wanted to spend to get it, I contacted Puget directly vs. using their "build your own" interface (which is cool, by the way). I provided my requirements and budget, and within hours we had settled on a design that met both my technical and budgetary needs.

A week and a half to build and test, another week for shipping (faster shipping is available, I just didn't need it 'over night') and my new system arrived - outstanding!

The binder they provide with the system was quite comprehensive and includes information on every component installed (including manufacturer warranty and support information), guides for peripheral connections (both front and back chassis), a FAQ and starter guide, build and testing/benchmark results - pretty much anything you'd want to know about your system before even turning it on.

"Sales response was superb. I received regular and prompt correspondence from a sales person, Wilson (via email) as I was selecting the components for my new computer. He even made suggestions on a reconfiguration that saved me about $800. The select-to-build software was also excellent. I could see what they had in stock, what was on order, and the exact status of the assembly. I got very nice thermal images sent, showing operating temperatures and cabinet details. When my new baby arrived, the packaging was perfect. In fact, it was so nice to unbox, i feel Puget needs one of those "unboxing" videos that people post on youtube. I use the computer for Photoshop, and even when processing very large files, this thing is soooo quiet! I mean really, really quiet -as in, the the first time I started it up, the light came on and I was convinced it didn't boot up/wondered if it was running. All in all, a dream experience for a custom order. After years of abuse from Dell, with their mongrel parts, bloatware and horrible customer service, I'll gladly pay more for a top-tier computer and a company that stands behind it. "

"Our company bought two Obsidian computers from Puget Systems and so far we have had a great experience. We also bought two new Dell Monitors from another vendor and were having trouble with the setup and called Puget Systems tech support and there was hardly any wait time.

I spoke with Richard in tech support who was not in some call center in Asia LOL and he immediately suggested a fix for the problem that I down load the newest driver for my video card. When you call they already have your contact information and he emailed me the link to download the latest driver for the video card and walked me though the setup. To my surprise he called me the next day and wanted to follow up with me to make sure everything was OK.

Also, when you get your computer everything is packaged in a clean and orderly fashion. Each computer has its own three ring binders with very clear documentation and a recovery USB drive.

I have bought computers before from the big computer makers and when you have a problem with them it is a major hassle to fix them. They refer you to a third party tech support and they will ask you stupid question like “before I can assist you please tell me your Name, Address and do you know your Microsoft Windows Serial Number etc. so we can begin to assist you.” Plus a lot of the parts are proprietary and are difficult to fix or change. I am never going to go that route again and you have to ask yourself how much is your time worth if you have to deal with something like that.

When I decided to purchase a new desktop system, I searched the internet for a company that provided good customer service and found Puget Systems and several other companies. In fact, this process was so thorough that it picked up a failed graphics/video card that stopped working pretty far along in the process. I have no doubt that with a less stringent quality control process, the computer would have shipped to me, only to develop problems early on. That's worth a lot to me, with the added bonus that I was able to track my machine's build progress online, every step of the way!

Puget shipped the computer with a detailed custom binder containing instructions and info about my specific machine. Neatly organized with test results, backup discs and vendor contact info, this is an excellent example of Puget's impressive customer service and attention to detail.

The finished product is outstanding; meticulously assembled and packed extremely well, this is a true state of the art computer.

I feel very confident that should I need any support in the future, Puget will be happy and interested to help. I highly recommend this company for their excellent work ethic, products and support of the customer. This is where I'll go in the future for all of my computer needs. It's heartening to see a company that really has it together in all respects.

I wrote them an email to ask about the scheduled delivery and I heard back within 10 minutes. I don’t believe that I have ever had someone get back to me that quickly.
