When I decided to purchase a new desktop system, I searched the internet for a company that provided good customer service and found Puget Systems and several other companies. I decided to call Puget after spending time on their very friendly and informative website, gathering information about a Puget Serenity Professional model. My conversation with Wilson Chau about my proposed computer was extremely helpful and informative. He was completely honest and knowledgeable about what was necessary for my needs, and it turned out that I was the one who pushed more aggressively for several items that cost more than what I needed to spend. Wilson helped me put together my ideal machine for photo and future video editing.
Besides Wilson's expertise, I was very impressed by the detailed testing and inspection process that took place. In fact, this process was so thorough that it picked up a failed graphics/video card that stopped working pretty far along in the process. I have no doubt that with a less stringent quality control process, the computer would have shipped to me, only to develop problems early on. That's worth a lot to me, with the added bonus that I was able to track my machine's build progress online, every step of the way!
Puget shipped the computer with a detailed custom binder containing instructions and info about my specific machine. Neatly organized with test results, backup discs and vendor contact info, this is an excellent example of Puget's impressive customer service and attention to detail.
The finished product is outstanding; meticulously assembled and packed extremely well, this is a true state of the art computer.
I feel very confident that should I need any support in the future, Puget will be happy and interested to help. I highly recommend this company for their excellent work ethic, products and support of the customer. This is where I'll go in the future for all of my computer needs. It's heartening to see a company that really has it together in all respects.

I wrote them an email to ask about the scheduled delivery and I heard back within 10 minutes. I don’t believe that I have ever had someone get back to me that quickly. "I was on the fence between assembling my computer and going with Puget, and Puget ended up being the better choice. It's nice to have someone with tons of experience help instead of researching tons of permutations of what's available out there, and then go through trial and error to make sure everything works.
Here are my highlights why I'm Puget-for-life (also, please check out their website, can't list all awesomeness here)
- OS arrived with zero crapware installed. It's as would have done it for myself or a friend
- there was additional box with all remaining items using during the installation, just in case I need it one day
- I could see notes from assembly process online - and testing!
- email support (before, during, and after) is great... i've even emailed photos when computer arrived with questions about few parts and reply was pretty quick
If you do the math, there's a price premium of going with Puget vs doing it yourself. If you're assembly pro, you might not need to, but for the rest of us, it's definitely worth the price of saved time and frustration. I had an idea what graphic card, HD and CPU i wanted (and if possible, smaller case), and the Puget guided me through the rest.
Also, if you prefer smaller cases, check out Echo - it's actually possible to combine power and smaller case together, and not have it meltdown because of overheating!

"I think the computer is great. However, I am not happy with the delay on receiving my unit. The motherboard was not housed in stock and thus I had to wait until the company had the motherboard delivered to them. And so the delay was getting the motherboard from Asia. Puget did say they they could supply me with an alternate motherboard, but the number of USB ports was less. So I did not accept this. If Puget want to suggest an alternate motherboard, it has to be comparable or it has to be better than the one purchased, not inferior to it. "
