"So thanks to Irene, my QR20 ham transceiver is not in the junk box. Seems that in the process of sliding the case back on the radio, the lip of the case caught one of the surface mount toroid transformers and tore it off the top circuit board, taking a couple of solder pads with it. Board effecively junked. So I email Customer Service and Irene offers to send me a returned QR20 so I could try scavenging its top board...absolutely free, including shipping. When the replacement arrived, it was in pretty bad shape and so she had me sent another returned defective transceiver. This time, when I transferred the top board in place, my original QR20 popped back to life, good as new.
Bottom line: try getting this level of service from any other company and I wish you luck. Thank you very much, Irene. It's people like you that take their companies to the highest level of customer support and service. We'll be doing business again."
"First let me say that everything I have heard about Radioddity customer service is absolutely accurate, it is outstanding!
I bought a UV82-L and it was not recognized by Chirp.
I emailed Support on a Friday afternoon and got instructions back that Saturday on what the issue might be.
There were a few settings to check in Device manager on the computer but that did not resolve the issue, there was one thing they suggested that I could not attempt right away as my Mototool was no longer working (more below).
I emailed them back and they shipped a replacement cable at no charge.
The cable and my new Mototool and the cable arrived on the same day.
As suggested by Support, I made a very slight modification with the mototool to the original cable, removing about 1/64 inch of material right where the programing cable plug meets the cable.
It was contacting a ridge right above the speaker port on the UV-82L.
It took less than one minute.
I didn't think it would make any difference BUT as soon as I did that the original cable worked perfectly on the UV-82L!
Support never delayed any part of working with me to get the issue resolved and I have since placed two more orders, both of which went perfectly.
You just are not going to go wrong with these folks."

"I recently purchased a Radioddity GD-88. Nice radio, but I noticed the operator ID sometimes remained the same even though the other party was talking. I thought the behavior was peculiar and that I must have something set up wrong on my end. I figured I would ask Radioddity support about it and, hopefully, they would eventually respond.
